Jun 27, 2011I am using autocad 2011 (first time using it). I have a line that is drawn at an angle, but i want to show the gradient of the line in 1 in x terms is this possible .

Illustrator :: Gradient Annotator Is Not Showing
Dec 29, 2012I am using ai Cs6. I have a circle that I filled with a linear gradient (I do not have stroke selected). I have my gradient filled graphic selected and turned on Show Gradient Annotator from the View menu. But, the annotator does not appear. What am I doing wrong or am I missing a step?

May 23, 2011I have a phantom line showing up when I plot this particular drawing. When I plot this drawing, do a preview or plot to a pdf, I'm getting a phantom diagonal line going across the drawing. There is no object there in model space or paper space!!! I havn't left on any hidden/locked layers etc. I'm not doing anything I don't normally do with drawings like this. It's just a topographic map of a residence with a surface. I've purged, audited, recovered, even started a new drawing and inserted the componets and nothing fixes this. I feel like throwing my computer out the window and applying at Wal-mart.

May 18, 2012I am using Autocad LT 2013 and Autocad Architecture withing the same office. When I open a file that has an Xref from Autocad Architecture with 3D walls in Autocad LT, the walls only show as 1 line instead of 2. If I open the orginal file that the Xref came from, with Autocad LT the walls show up just fine (as blocks instead of 3d walls as I expected). I am hoping to be able to veiw the Xrefs correctly in Autocad LT.

May 16, 2011As you see in the picture, the word Kitchen appears fine but the red line is where the dimension of the table top is supposed to be. It should show 6999.820mm or something , but it just displays a red line.
I just started learning AutoCAD 2010 through some videos and I came across this problem, how to rectify.
I changed my Units to mm, changed it before drawing.

Aug 9, 2012I created a road centerline profile and corridor and then created a profile of the two curb lines from the corridor. The road profile that I made has a vertical curve in it but the curb profiles do not show that information, just grade breaks every 25 feet based on the corridor sampling distance.
I would like to have the vertical curve information on the curb profiles.
Photoshop :: Solid Line Of Pixels In Warped Gradient
Aug 22, 2013I create a new layer and fill it with black. Then I make a new layer and make a marquee selection. Within the marquee selection, I fill the new layer with a color to transparent gradient fill. I then take the new gradient layer and warp it using the "FLAG" preset.
I adjust the bend to 20% and commit the warp/transformation. I get the curve I want, but right in the middle of the curve, running straight up the layer, is a solid line of pixels. It's almost as if, that one little line missed out on both the gradient itself as well as the warp effect.
Revit :: Family Line Color Not Showing Up
Jan 18, 2013The line color of my family is not showing up. It is just a symbol and it should be red, but it shows up black. I went to the overides in the project and nothing was overridden, so I went ahead and changed the imported families override to red just to see if it would change and it still didn't change. How do I fix this? When I open the family, the lines are red, just not in the project.

Mar 31, 2013My text was working fine til today, now when I try typing text, it is showing as a blank box, until I click outside of it, then it shows as a blue dotted line on the text. Then when I send it to the laser, it is not there!( laser engraver or the printer). I just want the text to be normal, like it was 2 days ago! Before, I could click anywhere, type, and it showed up with no problems!

Jul 9, 2012I've been experiencing problems with the Gradient editor since I got PS and the problem is that whenever I create a gradient through the gradient editor and then load it, it does load it and instead just duplicates the ones that already exist.
I save all gradients at:

However it does (mostly) work when I import pre-made (from web) Gradients.
I don't know why this happens but it also did the same thing when I had CS5.5!

Aug 28, 2012I have CS5. The bugs and broken features in AICS6, make it unusable in my workflow.
I am specifically concerned about the inability to drag global color swatches from the color panel to Gradient stops in the Gradient Panel. I use this method to update a gradient color because I find it MUCH faster than option-dragging to duplicate a stop color, then deleting the unused stop. Since I do this constantly, I find using CS6 very tedious.

Mar 26, 2009I am looking to draw my pipe with a thicker appearance than the typical line of width "0". Our storm pipes are usually drawn with this so as to stand out from other utilities. If the pipe is represented by a polyline, I have usually adjusted the "Width" or "Global Width" value to my liking. With pipe objects, it seems more complicated. I have searched the settings, and the closest thing that I could find was the Lineweight property, but that appears to have no effect on the line thickness in the CAD drawing.
Do I need to tweak a plot setting? Make a new linetype altogether?
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Remove Feature Line Used As Break Line When Creating Surface
Dec 11, 2012I needed to remove a feature line that I used as a break line when creating a surface. When I removed the feature line from the definition of the surface, the grading did not change. It appears the points created by the feature line remain which is why grading didn't change. The only work around was to delete these points.
I noticed the same thing happens when I removed the surface boundary and inserted a new boundary. why these points remain and how to remove when I delete boundary and feature line from surface?

Yes, i saw the command draw line at an angle but i find it a little bit complicated for a simple task like that. I am sure autodesk have a simplest solution about that.
If i am already at the draw line mode and i can easy catch the tracking perpendicular to previous segment but if i want to start from another line and go perpendicular i cannot make the tracking work.
