I want to export my autocad drawings to sap200. Problem is the solids are not recognized (faces work just fine). The entity should be acaddb3dsolid, is this different from the normal 3dsolid?
I'm currently working on a project that requires modelling in revit but exporting the final drawings in Autocad format. As a requirement from my client, I am demanded to export the entire paper space into the model space as Autocad entities.
When I export the drawing, the composition that I model in Revit is shown in the paper space, Is there a way to automatically export this composition into the model space?
I'm having a terrible time trying to export drawings out of X6 as EPS. Every time I do the program crashes and on many occasions corrupts the CDR file I'm working on.
We have been using Autocad 2000 32 bitfor many years and just recently upgraded the laptop with windows 7 64 bit and upgraded to Autocad 2010 64 bit. We cannot view the autocad 2000 drawings in the new autocad, it keeps freezing. I understand its a compatibility issue. How can we convert the drawings? I did download TrueView but it only gives me the latest option to convert to as 2007.
I converted from AutoCAD 2000 to 2014 and now when I open up my old drawings some of the text does not show up. But if I go back and open it with 2000 it is still there. I found that if I convert the text to mtext it shows up. Is there a setting in AutoCAD 2014 that I can change so that this text shows up? I tried changing the annotation scale to see if that would do anything but it did not.
Using the plot command, I am able to convert my AutoCad 2000 drawings to pdf format but I don't know how to save them in their actual size. In other words, I have a drawing that should print on a 24 x 36 sheet in actual size, but when I save it in a 1:1 plot scale, only an 8-1/2 x 11 section of the 24 x 36 drawing is displayed. I think I need the ability to designate a 24 x 36 paper size but I don't see a way to do that.
I thought I could do that in Plot Device - Properties but there's no paper size option larger than 8-1/2 x 11. I have the PDF Converter, Windows system driver by Autodesk. What do I do?
In AutoCad 2000 there was a design center that showed my symbols on the CD. Now I have 2010 and can't acess my symbols on the CD. I can't run the installl on the CD because I don't have admin rights.
I have recently acquired AutoCAD 2012, I have a book called "AutoCAD 2000 Bible", and I was wondering if the contents of this book (based on AutoCAD 2000) can guide me through AutoCAD 2012 as well.
I am running AutoCad 2000 and using the plot-to-file option to create a file for use with a basic home workshop CAM system. This CAM system has been designed to run with data created using the Hewlett Packard plotter driver HP7470 but unfortuneately my version of AutoCad 2000 does not list this driver as an option under the Plotter Manager/Add a Driver tab. how I can go about finding and downloading a copy of driver HP7470 in order that it may be added to the list of options in the Add a Driver list?
I have tried using some of the alternative drivers listed in but all appear to give inaccurate or spurious results.
What I have is a topo plan in 3D (All contour lines have x, y and z values). My pipeline is on x and y coordinate only. I need to get the corresponding z value for say about 2000 points on the pipeline.
I am using inventor 2013 and creating the drawing for a part or assy. and saving it to autocad 2000. after i open the saven .dwg fine in autocad 2000 of customised .dwg viewer (EDMS internal customised vault kind of software), i see some of the features of annotations and even mechanical features added has question mark (as the images attached).
Thing is what i am doing is and we have a BOB.shx file for the font. (which inventor is not supporting) and we could not bring this inside inventor. Inventor supports only .ttf font types.
So how way possible we can use inventor drawing inside autocad 2000 by save a copy as option. or you have any patch type support. We are loosing lot of time in this as a productivity loss.
I struggled for a while this morning with trying to data link to a large door schedule in Excel. After several failures, I searched online for answers, and read in another forum that AutoCAD won't data link to more than 2000 cells.
My door schedule is about 2050 cells now, and will be about 4000 when done. I defined a set of about 1,000 cells in the Excel spreadsheet, and AutoCAD linked to it no problem. So, I tend to believe the poster who stated the 2000 cell limit, but I can't find this.
When i try to copy paste some drawing entities from a heavy drawing file to any other file, the program blocks and says 'not responding', endlessly. So i always have to shutdown the program. I experience the same problem using the designcenter: when I try to copy a layout into another drawing, my computer gets stuck.
Another annoying problem with these files is that they are so heavy, while in fact they shouldn't be. I tried the aectoacad file command. In result the file id half as big, but after I open it and save it, again is the original size.
Every now and then I go back and try to use publish to speed up printing but I always go back to plotting one by one.
I work in a housing construction office and I have 10 separate drawings side by side in model space for house plans that I need plot separate to give to certain people. My problem isn't that I can't publish them separately its that I can't save them over existing pdf's individually predetermined.
Q1. do i just have to go through and change every layout name before or after i publish?
Q2. how do i change the output publish location?
Q3. can each layout be saved to a different existing pdf and remember it?
Q3. can i save these setting across to a new drawing?
When I try to load up PS 7.0, it gets as far as "Initializng color preferences," and then just blinks off. I've rebooted and re-installed the prog, with no success.
(Obviously, or I wouldn't be here, yes?)
My ImageReady loads up fine, so I tried the "jump to" command to bring an image over to PS.
I get a response that it cannot jump because "Photoshop is not responding."
I have CS2 and have loaded the plug-in for Jpeg 2000. I now find that I cannot save as an ordinary Jpeg. I know that 2000 et al is superior but a Jpeg2000 file cannot be read by many of the people I am in contact with re: family history.
I am using a down loaded upgrade of Photoshop CS3. Since I don't have the CD, I tried to use the JPEG 2000 plug in from my CS CD, but CS3 doesn't seem to recognize it. Should the plug in from CS work in CS3? I have tried unsuccessfully to find the plug in as a down load.
I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the JPEG2000 option window.
I want to know what Wavelet Filters (float and integers) and Tile size refers to, what it is and what it technically (but simply put) does. I found some info on the web, but it's really technical and I lack some background to understand what it means.
I'm working in Cs5 and I need to speed up my working process. So I have about 2000 images that I wanna print. I'm going to print them on A3 and on each A3 page I want to have 21 images. So it's a very simple process of just minimizing the pictures and putting them side by side, but almost 2000 pictures.
I get the idea to save my processed RAW files in jp2 jpeg 2000 16 bit format(channel) so they need less space as RAW or tiff and can be later good modify without noticable quality loss. But i get the requester, that the format support only 24 bit ( 8 bit/channel)
jpeg 2000 is here since 10 years. Is it not possible that windows or other programs can read 16 bit /channel files, or whats the reason wy it is not possible in PSP X4 upd 1 to store such files ?
Does other programs too not support 16 bit /channel jpg ?
I have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.
In a document of dimensions 4096 x 1536, the dotted style grid fails to be drawn beyond 2000 pixels from the left, when viewing the document at 50% magnification or greater. Here's a screenshot:[URL]...
Full specs of my machine can be found in another bug report here:[URL]...
I am trying to batch convert several thousand TIFF files to lossless JPEG-2000, but I can't get it to work.
When I open a single file and "Save as" JPEG-2000 with the lossless option checked, the result is truly lossless. But when I record this as an Action and then Automate/Batch this action, the output is not saved as lossless.
