I have tampered with this one! From this angle it looks ok, but it isn't right. I have tried using Loft and Sweep, but with no good results! The seat belt is static in the shown position, but should be able to adjust onto another seat.
I am having a difficult time centered the helical path (the equation curve) and lofting the two profiles (centered) through the helical path in the axial rotation direction..
View 5 Replies View RelatedFollowing on from my post regarding a sheet metal component that was unable to create a flat pattern due to creating the component in an assembly; URL....I have found out that it wasn't the in place component that was the problem it seems to be the loft and sweep feature that cause this problem. I have thought about using the extrude feature (as this works) to create the shape and then cutting the ends to get the angles I want but that would be time consuming.
I have set up the sheet metal rule to be 3mm mild steel, any way creating this component and being able to create a flat pattern.
I am attempting to model an internal 1/8"-27 NPT thread, both the through hole and the tapered part of the hole are modeled, but after I draw the helix and the polygon and orient the polygon to the helix correctly, (or even if I don't, I have tried it) it keeps saying unable to sweep object. I am using Sweep with Alignment with the No option. If I select the polygon first, then click sweep, it works, but rotates the polygon so that what I get ends up looking nothing like a thread profile.
I have tried reducing the polygon radius down to a ridiculously small value, thinking it might have been interference due to a possible trig miscalculation, but with no success, still have the same issue. FYI, I am using a .037" turn height for 27 TPI and a polygon radius of .0214", with a helix small end radius of .177" and large end radius of .189".
Solution to getting a horizontal sweep to miter with a vertical sweep? Or maybe there is a way to pick a path? A feature in the full version that Autodesk deemed unnecessary for LT.

View 0 Replies View RelatedWe have been using Autocad 2000 32 bitfor many years and just recently upgraded the laptop with windows 7 64 bit and upgraded to Autocad 2010 64 bit. We cannot view the autocad 2000 drawings in the new autocad, it keeps freezing. I understand its a compatibility issue. How can we convert the drawings? I did download TrueView but it only gives me the latest option to convert to as 2007.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI converted from AutoCAD 2000 to 2014 and now when I open up my old drawings some of the text does not show up. But if I go back and open it with 2000 it is still there. I found that if I convert the text to mtext it shows up. Is there a setting in AutoCAD 2014 that I can change so that this text shows up? I tried changing the annotation scale to see if that would do anything but it did not.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing the plot command, I am able to convert my AutoCad 2000 drawings to pdf format but I don't know how to save them in their actual size. In other words, I have a drawing that should print on a 24 x 36 sheet in actual size, but when I save it in a 1:1 plot scale, only an 8-1/2 x 11 section of the 24 x 36 drawing is displayed. I think I need the ability to designate a 24 x 36 paper size but I don't see a way to do that.
I thought I could do that in Plot Device - Properties but there's no paper size option larger than 8-1/2 x 11. I have the PDF Converter, Windows system driver by Autodesk. What do I do?
I was having trouble importing the surface of my canoe into SAP 2000.
Attached is my canoe surface,
I read that SAP 2000 accepts autocad surfaces, so this should work
In AutoCad 2000 there was a design center that showed my symbols on the CD. Now I have 2010 and can't acess my symbols on the CD. I can't run the installl on the CD because I don't have admin rights.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am running AutoCad 2000 and using the plot-to-file option to create a file for use with a basic home workshop CAM system. This CAM system has been designed to run with data created using the Hewlett Packard plotter driver HP7470 but unfortuneately my version of AutoCad 2000 does not list this driver as an option under the Plotter Manager/Add a Driver tab. how I can go about finding and downloading a copy of driver HP7470 in order that it may be added to the list of options in the Add a Driver list?
I have tried using some of the alternative drivers listed in but all appear to give inaccurate or spurious results.
What I have is a topo plan in 3D (All contour lines have x, y and z values). My pipeline is on x and y coordinate only. I need to get the corresponding z value for say about 2000 points on the pipeline.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using inventor 2013 and creating the drawing for a part or assy. and saving it to autocad 2000. after i open the saven .dwg fine in autocad 2000 of customised .dwg viewer (EDMS internal customised vault kind of software), i see some of the features of annotations and even mechanical features added has question mark (as the images attached).
Thing is what i am doing is and we have a BOB.shx file for the font. (which inventor is not supporting) and we could not bring this inside inventor. Inventor supports only .ttf font types.
So how way possible we can use inventor drawing inside autocad 2000 by save a copy as option. or you have any patch type support. We are loosing lot of time in this as a productivity loss.
Is there a command within AutoCAD2000 to establish the centre of gravity of a solid or solids?

My door schedule is about 2050 cells now, and will be about 4000 when done. I defined a set of about 1,000 cells in the Excel spreadsheet, and AutoCAD linked to it no problem. So, I tend to believe the poster who stated the 2000 cell limit, but I can't find this.
I'm doing a project for my paper and it would really save me some trouble if i could loft through vba..... the alternative is too boresome....
View 4 Replies View RelatedAutocad used to perform the LOFT command partially in the COMMAND LINE and additional properties could be setted in the DIALOGUE BOX.
I used to draw my lofted elements :
1. Pick sections in order
2. Following Guide, Path,...
3. Dialogue box ( sections smooth fit, ruled, normal to,...)
4. Volume was drawn.
Nowdays it's a bit more extended but in step 2 when u pick a path the volume is drawn immediately and I can't append additional properties like in step 3.
Filedia is on 1
How do I get to the Loft dialogue box ?
When I try to load up PS 7.0, it gets as far as "Initializng color preferences," and then just blinks off. I've rebooted and re-installed the prog, with no success.
(Obviously, or I wouldn't be here, yes?)
My ImageReady loads up fine, so I tried the "jump to" command to bring an image over to PS.
I get a response that it cannot jump because "Photoshop is not responding."
My OS is Windows 2000.
I have CS2 and have loaded the plug-in for Jpeg 2000. I now find that I cannot save as an ordinary Jpeg. I know that 2000 et al is superior but a Jpeg2000 file cannot be read by many of the people I am in contact with re: family history.

View 0 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to loft a profile between 3 circles and i have created 2 2d spline guides to loft through (see picture).
I get an error when i select the two splines as guides which says
"Modeling Operation Error:
The guide is not G1 between first and last sections. The selected entities are not valid"
The guides are definitely touching the profile edges so I'm not sure what the problem is.
I am using a down loaded upgrade of Photoshop CS3. Since I don't have the CD, I tried to use the JPEG 2000 plug in from my CS CD, but CS3 doesn't seem to recognize it. Should the plug in from CS work in CS3? I have tried unsuccessfully to find the plug in as a down load.
