AutoCad 3D :: Put 5 Mm Radius Fillet On Upper Edge?
Jan 15, 2013I want to put a 5 mm radius fillet on the upper edge. After 1.5 mm it will not...Why? What can I do? Convert it to a mesh object? Or?

AutoCad :: Fillet With A Radius
Nov 12, 2012I'm having a problem with the fillet command using a radius, I can't seem to get a rounded corner. I have the radius set at 1.00. I should see a rounded corner. If I set it at 0.00 or 1.00. I get the same result. Something doesn't seem right! Could it be a setting.
I viewed a few videos on Youtube and I can't replicate the same filet with radius results. I watched one that you can select radius by right clicking mouse. A text box appears to the right of the cross hair cursor where you can input the radius. On my screen that does not come up.

Jan 22, 2013If I define the fillet radius in a drawing and close the drawing, then next time I open the drawing, the fillet radius has defaulted back to 0 and I have to redefine it again. Is there a way to maintain the fillet radius in a drawing so that I do not have to redefine it every time I open the drawing?

Sep 20, 2011I need to fillet part on an edge on the top face of the enclosed part, is this possible? I have tried a few things but the fillet command always selects all the edges on the face to fillet.
once selected it says in the selection box that 15 edges are selected, and I can't ctrl click to remove any of them singly, basically it will deselect them all? I have made sure I have loop select off.

I have the outline of a solid body guitar that I drew with spline, extruded and now trying put a 1/2" fillet radius along the edges, top and bottom.
Using the 3d fillet command produces an error, and extruding a profile along the edge path doesn't work either.
Attached is the spline outline, the red part is what needs the fillet, but the white part does not. However, they can't be extruded into a 3d solid unless their joined!

The geometry/features that are used to create the fillet are exactly the same.

I have a extruded face that is a half circle on the top.so I am trying to fillet or cut a section off of the rounded edge. Feb 8, 2012I would like to radius the edge of a block for about 1" along a 3" edge. In Solid-doesn't-Works I would select an eddge to radius and then would edit it pulling one end of the line to radius back to the desired length of the radius.Here I find no option to edit the edge, I have also tried splitting the edge but I can't seem to make that feature work. Is there a way to do this short of creating a work plane at one end of the edge and then creating a cut to a set depth?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Constraint Limits Don't Work In Upper Assembly
Nov 1, 2011I have a linear slide assembly, for which I've set up limit constraints in the open and closed position.
It all works well, with one being able to drag the slide open and closed and the parts stopping in the correct positions.
I then inserted 4 of these assemblies as sub assemblies in a parent assembly.
I then constrain another part to the 4 slides.
I want to just drag on this part, to make the slides move to open positions.
This is to check kinematics etc.
One cant do this. You can only drag one slide open, by activating that slide in the model browser.
Any way to make limits work properly in upper assemblies?

I'm using Windows 7 ultimate 32 bits, i have a graphics card with 1900 x 1200 resolution.
As you can see below, the upper horizontal control pannel appears too big by comparaison with the workplace, and it's resolution is too poor.
The same thing happens with True view 2012.

Feb 3, 2013Fillet works fine on a single curve and straight lines, but I'm having trouble using the fillet command on two curves (arcs). I have two circles which I have trimmed into arcs roughly to the correct length, when I try to fillet them (with various radii) the filleted curve either connects to the wrong end of one of the existing curves, or the filleted curve curves in the wrong direction. I've used this tool a lot before and have never had problems - until now. Is there a way to decide which way the fillet curves?
