I'm creating a simple pink eraser by creating the outline with a spline to get the basic shape then extruded it. Now the edges are square/sharp. How do you get a radius on the sharp edges? I applied an "Edit Poly" modifier but it only allows for an edge chamfer and I need a smooth radius.
View 9 RepliesI would like to radius the edge of a block for about 1" along a 3" edge. In Solid-doesn't-Works I would select an eddge to radius and then would edit it pulling one end of the line to radius back to the desired length of the radius.Here I find no option to edit the edge, I have also tried splitting the edge but I can't seem to make that feature work. Is there a way to do this short of creating a work plane at one end of the edge and then creating a cut to a set depth?

I have a Edge project I would like to add a simple html to, which consist of many simple text divs. Is this possible?
I also have the block of div codes if I can just insert that instead .
I opened the html file in edge it shows as many separate divs. I can select but cannot copy to another edge project where I want it .
can I convert it to symbol, or can a html file be turned to a symbol?
can i group div them?
can i add it by editing the .js file and creating and ID?
So i instead opened the edge html in DW CC where I can copy the code and paste the div's over. it previews right. except the location and it covers all frames on the timeline (I only need it in one part of the site). So then i tried Muse as a html insert but i lost a lot of edge attributes. fail!
I'm trying to avoid rebuilding all the text divs in edge.
Question is:
what is the best way to import, or reuse html in edge ?
I have been having one heck of a time creating a professional quality border. I use the ruler and I cannot get the borders to match up perfectly. Is there a trick?
Can someone give me some tips??? I want to have the border in black, and so it will go to close to the edges of standard piece of paper. I'm thinking a box border followed by a gap then another box border. Then contents will go inside and I can handle that ....

I created a simple symbol from a circle with a cross inside (two rectangles). The symbol has two states labelled "normal" and "over" in which background colors change : on mousover and mouseout on the circle, sym.stop("over"); and sym.stop("normal"); respectively.
The problem : "over" when the cursor hovers over the circle, but back to "normal" when it hovers over the cross. The API suggests to use mouseenter and mouseleave to avoid child elements of the symbol interrupt the mouse event. I tried it, but the behavior is the same.
Is there any JavaScript solution (I'm a beginner, coming from AS3), or should I bypass with two flattened graphics "normal" and "over" ?
I've been working on creating a sword in 3D Max for the last couple of days and have run across a problem. At the base of the blade, it goes up straight for about an inch and then tapers out and up another half inch in a curve.From there, the blade tapers/curves back in, then out once more to create a thicker end of the blade, width wise. I need to know a simple way of doing those curves. A friend of mine suggested using quick loops, then individually scaling them to get the curving effect. That just seemed like it took too much time to me, and I thought there must be a simpler way. I tried adding a taper modifier to the selected area, but that didn't really seem to do much, except give the opposite effect that I wanted.

I'm then trying to extrude the track geometry (a simple rectangle) along the path of the track (see the bottom image).
I'm following a tutorial that says to select the line, then under compound objects select loft. Then under creation method I should chose "Get shape" and select the rectangle, however I'm unable to click on "get shape", the option is greyed out.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Wacom Intuos2 tablet with GIMP 2.6.12, and it works fine except as the subject says, the eraser works like a brush. In Photoshop, I don't recall exactly what it does, but I believe switching to the eraser (meaning flipping the pen over to the "eraser" side" switches from the foreground color to the background color, so that it effectively works like an eraser.
How can I do that, or something similar, in GIMP? I've searched everywhere and most of the posts have to do with getting the tablet recognized (check) and implementing pressure (check).
can I snap an object/vertex/edge to another object straight in one axis?
I'm coming from Rhino 3d, where this is possible by holding the shift key.

My system is about a 6month old macbook pro with 16gb ram, i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB. What could be causing this? It wasn't like this when i first started using the laptop but has started to do it everytime i try and do any of those simple tasks recently.

Ive tried (admittedly) not that hard at doing it with the skew options within Edge Animate but I cannot get it to swing realisticly.
I'll start off by saying that my knowledge of webcode is not the best, but I am learning as I go.
I am working on a project that uses "if then" statments. For example
sym.setVariable("test","0");
if (test = 0) {// Code }
else { / /Other code }
Now the "if then" statment works fine however my problem is the code that I am able to put into one of the two options seems limited. I'm not sure if I have it set up wrong or what, but I need to be able to delete and create instances of symbols/elements depending on the variable "test".
So for example if "test" equals 0 I want to delete symbol "update" so my code is...
sym.setVariable("test","0");
if (test = 0) {sym.getSymbol("update").deleteSymbol();}
else {}
However this code doesn't work??? If I just use
sym.getSymbol("update").deleteSymbol();
then the code works fine. But when I put it in the if than statment it fails to excute? I can put other code in the if than statment, such as alert(test); and I get the proper alerts ect.... So I don't believe it is the statment itself. But I could be wrong.
I'm trying to recreate an audio/visual feature that was built in photoshop/indesign (with hundreds of individal frames, that took hours to complete) in Edge. I've started it and gotten about half way, but I've run into a roadblock and can't figure a way around it.
I need the animation to start onclick with a play button that switches to a pause button. This single button needs both play and pause functions associated with it, and the background image has to change accordingly. I've got the animation to go as far as play onclick, and pause, but I can't figure out how to get it to play again after the initial pause.
I'll need to add in an audio track to go over the whole thing, that will also play/pause. The entire thing has to be timed to the audio track. I have never done much javascript.
I have two intersecting objects, which I merged.
Problem is, that the merged object has a pertruding edge, which I want to trim off, but I can't. I tried drawing a rectangle over the unwanted part, but for some reason, the rectangle, or any path I try to make around that edge, it shifts to the left, as if it is snapping. I don't know if it is because I'm too zommed in, but there must be a way to intersect the two seamlessly...

How do I snap my new line to the edge of another object? A workaround is drawing the line over the object, and snap the point back using intersection snapping. I hope you understand.
