In 3dsmax I want to:
(1)Open a .txt file containing some data:
E.g.
0,0,10,90,45
0,0,20,180,45
0,0,30,270,45
(2)Create arrow object at the XYZ coordinates pointing in the direction of the Heading Pitch values.
I'm an absolute beginner, and cannot find a simple pointer in GIMP. By simple pointer I mean an arrow to select an object, similar to the pointer in Inkscape. What am I missing?

I select custom shapes, then arrows, then I mouse-drag out the arrow, and, of course, they disappear when saved. So...now realizing that this is a path, I duplicate my first layer and place the arrows on the new layer. then I flatten. Still, arrows disappear.

It's a simple right facing, filled arrow, encampassed in a circle. There's a perfect drop shadow/gradient effect going on to add a 3d effect. I'd like that on a transparent background if possible.
I think we keep on without an annotation symbol to label the x,y and/or Z of a point ? Have I to develop our symbol ? I'm going to create my own symbol. Using attributes & dynamic behaviours I can do it.
how to get my arrow rotates (I move the box and I have - the arrow aligned with line1 and line 2 horizontal).I don't want to use parametrics, because I want to have a symbol compatible with versions prior to 2010.
Since i updated PS (CS6) the last time it has this very strange behavior when i try to position a object via the Arrow Keys.When i hit a Button very fast (3 times) the object jumps back to its very first position where i started to move it.
When it is a new "feature" - where can i turn it off?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been using Corel Draw primarily in my work for more than 20 years but have never taken the time to understand this....nor why on some artwork an object will move fractionally but on other artwork (specifically this time, a 20m x 10m workspace for vehicle signage) the objects move 200 or 300mm!?
I always thought this was a 'drawing precision' setting but even when I set that to 1 decimal place it doesn't seem to affect this.
I have (what I think should be) a relative simple question. I'm trying to find the best way to create a relationship between some standard primitive (box) objects (i.e. loudspeakers) at the walls they're supposed to be mounted to (i.e. the inner faces of another "box" object with inverted normals). I would like to be able to change the length and/or width values of the "room" (box object) and have the loudspeakers (also box objects) expand or contract with the walls.
I've tried linking and wiring parameters but so far no luck.
I'm creating a simple pink eraser by creating the outline with a spline to get the basic shape then extruded it. Now the edges are square/sharp. How do you get a radius on the sharp edges? I applied an "Edit Poly" modifier but it only allows for an edge chamfer and I need a smooth radius.

Illustrator keeps freezing when applying an effect such as texture-grain to a simple gradient, or even rasterizing a simple black circle. My system is about a 6month old macbook pro with 16gb ram, i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB. What could be causing this? It wasn't like this when i first started using the laptop but has started to do it everytime i try and do any of those simple tasks recently.

The Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". I'm playing with the 3D tools in Photoshop CS5 Extended for a friend. He provided an .obj file of a tool part and it opens just fine as a complex, shaded object.
Question: Is there a way to generate simple outlines of the object and export those outlines as paths to Illustrator?

I am trying to draw a 3D arrow using 3ds, similar to the top left 3D arrow from this stock image website: [URL]...... and I am unsure how to approach this problem.
It must not be a hard image to draw considering how many people are selling this image online, but I am stuck. I have tried creating a box, converting it to an editable polygon, and then applying the bend modifier to the box, but it does not look anywhere as good as the image on that website.
The Line Tool in Photoshop CS6 is radically different from that in PSCS5. I have used Photoshop almost daily for years, yet I haven't been able to figure this out.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I zoom with the mouse scroll "alt scroll" then press the down arrow it opens my file menu, this is 100% reproducible. Zoom any other way will not open the menu. I have searched the shortcuts and can not find any shortcut associated with opening the file menu.
BTW windows 7 system , fully updated cs5.
I need to rotate a layer to an exact spot relative to another layer.
Moving it right and left with the arrow keys lets me see when I snaps
into register.
I also want to do that with rotation.
I have Photostop CS3 on a pc and want to draw several arrows with a curve. I can draw a line with the pen tool and make a bezier curve, but how do I add an arrow head? Using the arrow symbol only lets me draw an arrow in a straight line and the head of the arrow is too big.

it looks to me that an arrow created in Illustrator CS5 and exported in a svg 1.1 file is later recognized as a stroke+triangle (two disconnected objects). It just want to make sure that I did not miss anything. The option "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities" is not checked since I want to open the svg file in Inkscape.
