AutoCad 3D :: Make 3D Oven Using Polar Array Feature
Apr 5, 2011
This is an oven design in 3D. But I would do it brick by brick, if feasible. Below the picture. Some considerations: I tried to do using Autocad 2012 using the Polar Array new feature, but I can not close the oven on top.
I'm trying to use the PATH array feature on 2013 to array stairs, and I can't get the array to be 100% accurate. It seems like CAD rounds the decimal to the nearest 3/4" which could be causing the problem.
I set my run to 10.5" and rise to 7.25", array along the angle of the stringer, and there's always a small overlap on the stairs. The "distance between" should be 1'-209/256" and CAD rounds it to 1'-3/4" which is where I believe the error is. Is there any way to fix this or array this correctly? Otherwise...back to the COPY method I suppose.
I am trying to do a polar array of a small circle within a large circle. I chose the center point of the large circle as the center point of the array, but for some reason the smaller circles are not in perfect array as some one them slightly overlap the larger circle. Is there some way to calibrate it correctly?
I have drawn a bar counter in 3d which has a top rectangular shape with curved corners. The front of the bar has 100mm wide wooden fascia panels and they need to follow the line of the bar. I am using the Polar Array function which works great except I cant seem to get the panels to follow the curves/arcs around the corners, but they sit neatly on all the straight edges of the bar. So in other words the panels are straight and lined up on the straight parts of the bar but the panels stay at 90 degrees instead of following the curved areas of the bar.
I put the three holes in the outer ears/lugs with a Polar Array and want to change their diameter to make them smaller. If try to use Delete Faces to remove the holes it drastically effects one of the other lugs.
Is there a better way to edit holes in an array and is there a way to make arrays non-associative after the fact of creating them? The dwg is saved in 2007 but created with 2013
sequence for creating a Polar Array? I have no problem with Rectangular Array but for some reason I have no success with Polar. include what it should say in the command line in the sequence. I am looking to place 22 .1" circles around a 1.5" circle. I am using v2000 if it matters, however I can use v2007 if need be.
I cannot find the drop down for Polar array. I just have the 4 squares for array when I click on it I can request polar as the array type but it gives me a quirky menu with grips and does not allow me to set fill angles and number of pieces. I had issues loading this program, Map3D 2013 and was wondering if it was skipped in the installation, The circular pattern button is not on list of commands but does show in the documentation provided.
i'm trying to do a polar stretch and array for rigid insulation. RIGID2.dwg is my best option. but as you can see in the jpg, the first line should have arrayed already, because the gap is over 2". i tried to follow the instruction someone used for the clothes hangers URL.... and it resulted in RIGID.dwg, with the lines rotating off the main line.
I've made this block . when i rotate the vertical line I need to add lines every 15° as you see in the image, i've seen that polar array is not possible in the dynamic blocks.
I do not understand how to draw a polar array around a rectangular shape. If it were a rectagular dining table of any size how do I array the dining chairs around the table's shape. Alternatively what if I had a large square table and wanted to array 12 chairs with 3 chairs on on each side of the table ????? I get polar arrays around a circle or polygon but do not understand the rectangle concept ???
I am looking to design a grate approximately 5mX10m with holes 250mmX32mm. My first thought was to drawing the outline of the 5mX10m grate, then create an array of tiny 32mmX200mm boxes and extrude the material between the boxes and the boundary frame. Unfortunately when I create the simple array (something like 50box by 120 boxes) inventor keeps freezing I'm thinking this is too large of a patter for inventor.
How I can make the grate in a smarter/ less resource intense manner?
how do one wants to do a polar increment angle to make a degree in a autocad drawing. I want to design a truss but at the angle of the truss , how to make an angle between the top chord and lower chord. which icon i should click on ?
when I wanna make an array, i've to make all my choices on the command-line. How can I make appear the array-window, which I used to have in previous autocad versions? is there any variable I have to change? I'm using Autocad 2012 now.
I am creating a set of parametric stairs. All of my constraints are in place for my 2 main work points. I am now trying to make an associative path array to depict the stair treads. Path array works great initially, however when I change my variables for stair height, my stair treads tilt with my work line in such a way that they're no longer parallel to the floor.
The angle of the stairs must be variable as it will change from one set of stairs to another. All that said, I am wondering if there is some variable or command that will make the treads retain their ucs orientation regardless of the angle of my path line. I've tried every option while creating the array with no luck.
I've been using Tile to create an array from a jpeg image to use as a background for a website I'm building using Weebly. The original images display fine in Weebly, and when I use Tile to create the array the resulting image looks flawless in GIMP and in the picture viewer on my desktop. However, when the image is uploaded to Weebly it displays as though the original layer has been duplicated in GIMP and tiled manually and badly, i.e. leaving white space along edges, incorrect alignment of tiles.
"make components" has worked flawlessly for a few years until today.
I have a part with 47 individual solid bodies. When I select all the bodies and hit the "make components" tool about 2/3 of the bodies deselect and are not included in the list to be sent out to parts. While in the command, I cannot select them in any way. However, I can open one of the derived parts that are created and edit to select one of the bodies that refused to work in the make components command. While this is a workaround im not looking forward to doing this to 30+ parts.
I'm currently using the "Make components" feature to convert solid bodies into parts. This works great, but we use this method to construct angular roof structures, and after the parts have been made the parts have angular relationships to the .ipt files UCS co-ordinates. It would be very useful if I could align the longest edge of the part (Which is a timber truss) with the x axis in the model space and "lay" the plank flat on the X-Y plane.
I have been working with some GIS data in the form of SHP files in autocad map 3D 2011. On one of my layers I have started getting "Feature was not saved in the target feature source" when I try to check in my data. In total there are 308 errors in the data table, all of which were features I deleted. They all have a featID of null and I cannot remove them from the data table. I need to fix these errors without going back and starting over.
I have LR 5.2 and when I review newly imported images with an impromptu slideshow to rate and flag the image in the slideshow, the relevant "flag as pick" or "set as rejected" notification shows on the screen but at the end of the slideshow only the first image is picked or rejected and the rest remain unchanged.
I have tried the fix that adobe published for 5.0 - changing the ui.dll but that fix prevents LR5.2 from loading alltogether.
I've got the very basics down on autocad 2012 but was just wondering if you can use the polar command while using snap from, like for example if i want to draw a circle 180mm from another point at 45deg (@180<45)
I'm working in Autocad 2009 full, I've "polar tracking" ON, "Object snap", as well as "Object snap tracking" but still my polar tracking doesn't work. How to resolve this problem?
strangly enough its does give me one tracking option (read line) wile drawing at 5° and when i draw a square it seems like my plane is off a bit (prolly 5°, looks like a perspective)
Tried fiddling around with the DSETTINGS command but nothing goes.
so i s my plane off, UCS off, also i get sometimes 1 out of 10 times an innorect SNAP ( snap to a point and its off by a 0,x margin. i
I am running Autodesk Map3D 2012 and I need to label my feature points no matter if they overlap or not.The Map3D documention refers to a check box that will allow what I believe I need- but I cannot find the checkbox in the style editor. Here's a clip from the Autocad documentation:
To allow labels to obscure points on the selected layer..In the Display Manager , select the point layer. Click the Style button. In the Style Editor, click Allow Other Labels To Obscure Feature Symbols On This Layer.
