View 3 RepliesI have done this before in cs4.Somehow I have lost brush sizes as a circle and everything is a "+"/crosshair.Can't remember what I did to get them back!
What do I need to do to get all my individual brushes/tools back?
I'am using illustrator CC but while using the star tool, instead of being drawn while being dragged by the tip or the outer radius, my star is getting dragged from the inner radius. The problem does not occur when dragging while holding the alt key.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCS6 Pen tool, clicking and dragging on an existing path should not change the angle on the adjacent radius handles. It should only dynamically adjust the length of the existing radius handles, based on which direction you drag. It should only affect that one segment and not affect the bordering angles. I've been pathing with Adobe products for 25 years and this should not change now. I want to be able to fine tune ONE line segment without affecting its neighboring segments. The "new" behavior should only occur with a modifier. If the Mothership deems this is the only way to do this moving forward, at LEAST give your long-standing customers a modifier, such as the shift key to enable us to keep working as we have been for decades.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm refining some SVG files, imported into GIMP as paths. I added numerous guides on the images and drag anchors to the guides. All the paths consist of straight lines only. The problem is that on some anchors GIMP performs the "drag curve" operation instead of the "drag anchor". As a result, my straight lines become broken (curved).
The only solution I've found so far is to apply maximum zoom level, say 400%, and repeat the dragging in this resolution. This makes GIMP work properly, at least, I'm able to "drag anchor" as expected. But switching back and forth to the 400% zoom level is a bit annoying and inconvenient.
Is there a better way to "say" GIMP that "dragging anchor" is the "dragging anchor", not "dragging curve"?
Why does dragging on a Touch Screen change the cursor into a Hand Tool? This did not happen in CS 5.5 and I could edit on my touch screen monitor. With Photoshop CS 6, as soon as I start to drag, the cursor changes to a hand cursor. I have look at all of the system options and nothing seems to affect it so I have to assume it is something wrong with Photoshop CS 6.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I click and drag with the direct selection tool, I'm getting a drag on the object rather than a marque for selecting points. As soon as I click, the tool switches to the black arrow tool. Did I mess up a setting somewhere? I'm not using any modifier keys.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a situation where the default behavior of my rectangle tool (or any of the other shape tools) is now different. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 running Illustrator CS5. It acts as though the option-shift keys are pressed, so whenever I draw an object, it draws from the center point and the dimensions are constrained, so i can only draw a square or circle, not a rectangle or ellipse. Additionally, whenever I use the selection tool, it clones the object I drag, and also constrains the positioning, so i can only drag in a 0, 45 or 90 degree angle (or multiples thereof). It's as if my option-shift keys are permanently pressed (if I actually press option-shift, the behavior persists). I tried using a different (brand new) keyboard, tried throwing away preferences, and the problem remains. I also tried booting up Illustrator CS4, and the weird problem showed up there! This behavior just started happening spontaneously. I couldn't think of anything weird that happened (a crash, a new plug-in, etc.). I can't find a preference that sets this behavior either.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using the trial version of CS5 (probably going to upgrade at the end of the trial), and I've only found one thing about it that I don't like more than CS3. This is VERY VERY annoying, and I'm not sure if it's a glitch, or just a preference that needs to be reset:
When using the move tool, I will move something and it will just snap back to where it originally was. When it snaps back, it might move a few pixels over in the direction I was dragging, but it is definitely not moving to where I want it to go. The only way to get things to move the way I want to is by Free Transform...but it's annoying, when you're trying to design a layout, to have to free transform every element you want to move, first.
I'm guessing that this is a glitch because sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't...it's pretty random. I've tried turning Snap on and off, and nothing changes.
I have been annoyed with the color of my crosshair for a while, I have my background set to black so the the crosshair is white. This is no problem in Model and over the paper in Layout, but when I move the crosshair outside the paper to the Grey area, I can't see the crosshair.
I can't remember this being a problem before so it must be something with 2011 that I installed a while back.
I can find where I change the color of the crosshair (Options > Display > Colors > Crosshair) so thats not the trouble.
The trouble is that since I can't remember this being a trouble before, the crosshair must have changed color from White when black background to Black when white background.
And I seem to remember that there was a color before that was called Black/White that was this exactly. It changed from Black to White depending on the background .
How to rotate the X Axis in the Crosshair? See picture attached.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to make the cross hairs default to the inverse of the color under them (e.g. black when over white, blue when over yellow, cyan when over red, etc.)? I remember that it did this in previous versions, but I can't find a setting for it in 2011.
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy crosshair displays the trails all the time. What can I do to resolve this problem; it's not the mouse setting.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBack in Acad2002 when I selected a command (line, for example) the crosshairs would lose the pickbox around them and I could precisely pick the area I want with no obstruction. I see in 2012, that following those same steps, leaves the pickbox around the crosshairs and thus makes it obtrusive to precisely pick exactly what I want. Is there a system variable to make that pickbox disappear while I am making my selection?
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen i started using 2011. I have 2 viewports active; plan and isometric view. But when I try to navigate in the isometric view, the crosshair behaves in a way I don't understand. What happens is that when I zoom in the crosshair disappears over or under what I'm zooming in on.
It's hard to describe, but it seems that it have a different origo then the view represents. When I zoom out so much that the crosshairs are visible and I try to move them upwards, they stop in the middle of the screen and then the marker becomes visible in the ribbon part of the screen.
I have tried detaching all xref's, purged and audit, checked the elevation (0). This only happens in some drawings, not all, and I can't think of a common denominator in the drawings it happens.
Is there a way to change the color on the Zoom Window Crosshair? I would like to make it darker to be more visable against my background..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI admit that I have used AutoCAD for several years now, but I have very, very little experience with 3D applications and needing to alter the typical horizontal/vertical coordinate system.
What I have is a file that, though the lower-left icon is horiz/vert, my crosshairs cursor is tilted approximately 30 degrees counterclockwise. This file, I believe, did originate in AutoCAD Civil 3D, so who knows what was done there. But, how can I get my crosshairs straightened out once more?
I have noticed a relation with the UCS and the cursor, when I've played with Orbits. I just can't grasp what that relationship is.
How do I change the crosshair so it is at an isometric angle for drawing?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave a specific drawing that the crosshair in the Y direction is broken (sse attached image). Exacctly in middle of screen this problem was seen also in older autocad releases (R2008)
The UCS is world and PLAN view is set, the screen is OK the display card + driver is OK. The weird thing is this is only in this dwg and even if it insert it to fresh dwg in comes good.
Upon selecting anything in 90% of any drawings the crosshairs disappear and CAD2014 freezes for 2sec.
It's a Dell Presicion T1600, Xeon 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, Quadro2000 with a 120GB SSD as the primary running CAD2014 premium.
It started recently.
This happens even if I toggle HW acceleration. We draft mainly in model view with the 2D Wireframe style.
when working with a 3d model i want to switch between front, top, side views to change my XYZ axis. when i hit the view icon(whichever i am going to) it regenerates and zooms extents. is there w way to stay zoomed into the current location but toggle the crosshair XYZ plane?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust seeing CS6 for the first time and trying to warm up to it. There were several annoyances I have been able to revert back to normal, but this one thing I can't seem to make go away.
The marquee crosshair used to be displayed with 1 pixel lines, now it has a 1px border around the entire crosshair when it is over a dark color. Is there a way to get rid of that border? It just feels a little cumbersome, and sort of annoys me. I would rather it not be there.
Is there another crosshair shape somewhere to download or does someone know how to create one?

View 4 Replies View RelatedTwo questions, actually. Why does the healing brush crosshair change in location relative to the brush and then why does the crosshair change in color?
Also, in healing brush, with "aligned" unchecked, why does the brush image change as it moves? I though that with "aligned" off, the selection made with ATL - click stayed constant.
