View 4 RepliesIn Photoshop CS6 Adobe has added a white outline to the cross hair cursor (when for example using the Marquee and pen tool) making it a lot less precise than before when you want to hit exact pixels. Is there a way to remove this?

This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?

Then I delete the background color only leaving the picure and transparent background - I export to a .png from the .psd.
When I re-open the .png and slide a black background color layer behind the picture, I see a tiny white outline around the picture.
Do I have an issue with my erase command or my export to .png-8?

I remember seeing a post about a plugin which allows you to remove the background from an image...
Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the plugin....
Or if you can point me to a Tutorial that deals specifically with removing a background colour from a complicated image i.e. an image with a complicated outline...

I want to be able to make part of the outline invisible and still fill it in its original shape.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to create an outline map for another application. The world is demarcated into areas, separated by black lines. The map must only have black & white pixels.
Some questions about using GIMP for this.
1. Is there a tool I can use to make every non-white pixel black?
2. Is there a tool I can use to eliminate isolated pixels of the wrong color (that is for me a black pixel with all neighbors white or vice versa)?
3. Is there a tool I can use to make the black lines thinner? It is desirable in my application to have the lines be only 1 pixel wide

Is there a way I can delete the white pixels only and then have only the grey and black pixels remaining? If possible, I don’t want a hard pixellated edge where the white and grey/black pixels meet.
What I want remaining is only the black and grey lines with a transparent background.
