I dont understand why I'm so stupid not to be able to acheeve this simple task with Lightroom WITHOUT TRIMMING the image (altering it's proportion and cutting away photo-content)
(on light-gray backgrownd for instance, to use as cutting indications. I know how to use cutting-indications for images i print without a border)
(i do not whant to use workarounds, the kind of preparing "identity plates", a new one each for infinite variations of proportions to use as fullblown-up backgrounds..)
Is there a workflow to transfer a booklet created in InDesign into Designer Pro?

I've put in all my text and graphics but when I go to Print Booklet, the preview looks fine, the problem is when I select print I get this error message: "The active document uses multiple pages sizes. Print Booklet works only with documents that us a consistent page size." I rechecked and all my pages are set for 8.5 x 11.

Currently self teaching myself using 3D on a current project I'm working on. A cable stayed bridge having a span of 30 metres supported primarily by a single diagonal parabolic arch. The arch is square in section but rotated so it looks like a diamond along the arch length. To draw the arch I have drawn the arch sections at intervals along the centreline where it changes size in section 1.4, 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0m. I have then used the loft command to draw the arch using the drawn sections as the objects to loft through.
For the GA drawing I have a plan view and elevation. When printing the generated/ lofted lines are are pixelated and not very crisp or clear (not a solid line).
I have tried adjusting the visual style and shade plot, for each of the options and none of them are giving me a solid crisp outline for the generated arch. I have also had a little play using the visual styles manager but nothing seems to work and also tried maximum quality in the print options.
What do I need to do to print a solid crisp outline for the outline of the arch please, are you able to select the edges of the square and convert them to solid 2d/ 3d lines.

Im trying to vector a face.. I have traced the face exactly and filled it with a base colour.. now im going to layer the skin.. however.. i dont want to retrace the outlines of the face every time a layer is close to the border.. I want to be able to exceed the face outline with that layer.. and then use the base colour layer (that is exactly traced) to clip that layer so it has the same outline as the traced base layer.. that way I dont have to trace my layers every time I get close to the edge..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the function to outline a border to text with the function "Path to text" but no matter how I try the path will only use 16-19 letters in one row.
I have read several guides on how to do this and no one mention anything about this issue. As long as I have 16 letters on one line it works, but I have more it will just skip them.
I write the text:
12345678901234567890
Then I click an choose "path to text", but when I do it will only create a path of 1234567890123456 and skip the rest. If I write text on several rows it will use up to 16 letter on each row.
Is there an limit to "Path to text" .
I inserted an indesign document of 42 A2 pages into a new indesign A1 landscape document to enable me print two sheets per page on an A1 drawing, and cut afterwards. How do I make sure the border line in the middle is also printed so I have a reference line where to cut the paper equally into two?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just started using the new Indesign CC and one of the features that I miss is the blue outline that would appear around textboxes. It would allow me see where my text was and move it around. The new Indesign CC displays text, but with no outline around the text, which makes it difficult to re-adjust the box size and move around my text.
Is there a way to enable the text box outline to show when designing (not when printing) as the previous verisons of InDesign did?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOnce I have removed the background from around a picture and save as a .psd it looks perfect. only picture and transparent background - even if I slide a black background behind it all, there is no white outline - just as I want it. Then I delete the background color only leaving the picure and transparent background - I export to a .png from the .psd.
When I re-open the .png and slide a black background color layer behind the picture, I see a tiny white outline around the picture.
Do I have an issue with my erase command or my export to .png-8?
I have tried saving this is different fonts as well as smooth, crisp, etc and it still shows with a white border around it.
