I have done this before in cs4.Somehow I have lost brush sizes as a circle and everything is a "+"/crosshair.Can't remember what I did to get them back!
What do I need to do to get all my individual brushes/tools back?
playing around with the brushes and I think I must have hit something and now I cannot find some of the default brushes.
I know I did not hit delete or anything and I have hit 'reset brushes' but they don't come back.
Is there anything I can do to get them back?
i cannot get the tools name while dragging the cross hair towards the tools it is displaying only some boxes .

on working with Photoshop and Photography a bit, but I starting to get
back into it again. And finding out I forgot alot that I have learned.
I went out today and bought the Wacom Bamboo and it was/is working fine
other then me needing to get used to it an learn it. Mentioning this because
I'm not sure if it is related to my problem or not.
My problem is: Lost function to some tools like, clone stamp, paint brush, dodge/burn etc. I can click on them but when I try to use them nothing happens. But my history pallet shows it was used.
I have no outer circle (only crosshairs) on my tools . . . such as Clone, Healing Brush, Quick selection, etc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had this problem in Photoshop where the Rubber stamp and the brushes don't work. This is on the Background Layer and the Background copy Layer. I'm sure its one of the settings or preferences, but even reinstalling doesn't help due to some of the settings being in windows registry files.

I'm 10 days from purchasing a version of CS6 after using CS2 for 7 years. View 6 Replies View RelatedCurrently when I use the gradient tool I have no way of gettng back into the individual gradients that I have created - the little clickable circles that used to show up on the image have gone! Have tried everything I know about without reinstalling the software as Im scared of damaging/ loosing my catalogues and settings. Before you ask, yes I am in the gradient tool - the adjustments panel is viewable and apart from invisible handles seems to work as usual.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust seeing CS6 for the first time and trying to warm up to it. There were several annoyances I have been able to revert back to normal, but this one thing I can't seem to make go away.
The marquee crosshair used to be displayed with 1 pixel lines, now it has a 1px border around the entire crosshair when it is over a dark color. Is there a way to get rid of that border? It just feels a little cumbersome, and sort of annoys me. I would rather it not be there.
Is there another crosshair shape somewhere to download or does someone know how to create one?

Also, in healing brush, with "aligned" unchecked, why does the brush image change as it moves? I though that with "aligned" off, the selection made with ATL - click stayed constant.
I am interested in grouping and sorting brushes according to size, shape, whatever.
Right now when I add a brush library, they just stack on top of one another.
For example let's say I have a round brush with a 10 diameter, then next to it a round brush with a 20 diameter. If I make a 15, it goes to the bottom of the list, and I have to scroll all around. How can I group them?
I suspect I would have to make my own brush library with my brushes how I want them, then save that and load it?
I have been annoyed with the color of my crosshair for a while, I have my background set to black so the the crosshair is white. This is no problem in Model and over the paper in Layout, but when I move the crosshair outside the paper to the Grey area, I can't see the crosshair.
I can't remember this being a problem before so it must be something with 2011 that I installed a while back.
I can find where I change the color of the crosshair (Options > Display > Colors > Crosshair) so thats not the trouble.
The trouble is that since I can't remember this being a trouble before, the crosshair must have changed color from White when black background to Black when white background.
And I seem to remember that there was a color before that was called Black/White that was this exactly. It changed from Black to White depending on the background .
when i make my brush size very small (to the point that its only like 4pixels dot on the screen), a crosshair symbol automatically appears around it which makes it hard to see the cursor's surroundings when working on small details without zooming in alot (which would make a 4px cursor appear bigger thus losing the crosshair again). I guess this feature is there for people that might have trouble locating small cursors, but on a large tablet that allows very fast work without having to zoom in much, this makes things harder. Is there a way to disable this or modify some files or "hack" the cursor icons somehow and delete it?
(Tried all possible combinations of the PS prefferences but none of it seemed to be related to the cursor becoming a crosshair once the brush size gets very small relative to screenresolution)
