Nov 28, 2011Translating when rendering only seems to use 1 cpu core and takes 90% of the render time, so having a quad core processor running a view that takes 10 min render only gives me a 5% decrease in time over a dual core...
I don't think you can really call Inventor rendering a multi core app?

Apr 18, 2011I need translating the layer from one drawing to another. e.g. I have some standard layers in our drawing template and I want to move the contents of our client's drawing to our default drawing template without their layers. Or may be is there a way to auto convert the layers to match our standard layers?

I have created a translation file with all the desired settings and everything works fine, except the old layers remain in the drawing after translating. AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Translating Drawing Including All Design Work To New Coordinate
Jul 23, 2013I am 90% into the design of a subdivision and the survey was just updated. The original design was in an arbitrary coordinate system, and the new boundary is in state plane coordinates. I would like to move all of the design information to the new boundary. This would include all of the surfaces (approximately 6).
When I move the surface (any surface), I end up with errors. If I move the surface alone, I cannot move the defining feature lines. If I move the feature lines, I loose all of the edits I have made to the surface.
Is there any clean way to translate a drawing, including all design work, to a new coordinate?

Jan 28, 2013while trying to type a text in Greek language on a photo. I have to tell you that i have done in the past many times this job (type Greek letters on a photo for watermarks etc) with the same program and the same computer until two days ago!
I checked the input method, i resetted the values inside the options from gimp preferences , i uninstalled the program twice and reinstalled it, i removed all the app Data for the specific software but still doesn't work. When i try to type Greek letters , i get strange symbols that i cannot paste here! It pastes normally the characters that i wrote on. I use gimp 2.8.3 and my OS is Mac OS Lion 10.7.4

Dec 31, 2008I had no significant problem of creating a panorama picture by stitching HORIZONTALLY many (up to 35) pictures. Is PS capable of automatically stitching vertically too? The idea is to accomplish multi-raw panorama. That is, if in addition to a wide view, I want also the panoramic picture cover significant hight. The idea is to sweep the horizon at a certain vertical angle.
Then, sweep at a lower level and creating a panoramic view of both sweeps. If not fully automatic, then create a photomerge and create 2 panoramic picture. Then automatically stitch the two panoramas vertically.

May 7, 2004I was at a friends computer who runs a DUTCH version of photoshop 7. When i tried to execute an action created on my pc, running an english (US) Photoshop, i got some errors. As the action tried to change layers it said: 'cannot find layer1' Turns out that, unlike for example M$ Office products (excel, Access, etc), Photoshop handles purely on a name (or text) base. If you'd make a formula in (DUTCH) excel stating 'ALS(b1<B2,b3=1,b3=0)' and you take this worksheet into an english version it'd be automatically read : 'IF(b1<B2,b3=1,b3=0)' (ALS is IF in dutch).
A dutch version creates a 'laag' as opposed to a 'layer', 'layer copy' is 'laag kopie'
So how do I get these 'english' actions to work on a dutch photoshop?
Are there any action editors and/or translators ?
Photoshop :: Customize - Brush Capable Of Picking Up A Pixel?
Oct 19, 2013I am able to create my own customizable brushes BUT I want more, WAY more. I want a brush capable of picking up a pixel or a few and transform it/them into a bokeh, JUST WHERE they are.
The only tutorials I found are about making brushes, customizing them to do what ever but they create the same thing all over even if different sizes, scattered or whatever. Nothing about being able to have one that selects what is underneath.
Blur radius does not work, I tried and tried and tried again. If I still have hairs it because they are too short to pull and if the walls are still standing around me it is because I am wearing a soft pillow to protect them against my aggressiveness toward them (my wife was tired of paying for repairs).

I have never used Final Cut Pro before, and wondered if the controls in Final Cut were similar to LR, if you could export and import between the two, and generally what the difference was between working with color in each. He has one of the RED cameras, which shoots in RAW, so I assume the different can't be too great.

Now, here's that same frame in After Effects.Both the C4D and AE files are using the same frame rate (24). And if I keep playing the AE timeline, it does add more particles, but nowhere near like it is in the actual C4D file.For reference, I'm running Cinema 4D Studio R14 and AE CC.

Jul 9, 2013I have owned Photoshop CS3 and CS5. I have used these products across 3 different computers, OSX and Windows in several different versions. I have used 4 or 5 different printers and each and every time my images print offset to the left of the page with about an 1 inch blank space down the right edge of the page. Portrait or Landscape, it makes no difference. I have tweaked the settings in Photoshop and the operating system and printer settings endlessly, all to no avail.why Photoshop isn't capable of printing an image centered on the page or borderless. I am currently using Windows 8.1 beta, an Intel i5 based system, a Canon MG6220 printer with Photoshop 5.1 64 and 32 bit.

AutoCAD LT :: Missing Language Packs
Jan 31, 2012My windows xp is upto date i believe , yet i cannot open some drawings as i get the missing language packs error.
When error pops up i cant ignore it as my autocad2011LT locks up and i have to use task manager to close it down, the drawings do open up on other computers fine in the office? Iv checked computers that can open drawing and they appear to be the same settings as mine ?

Dec 4, 2012I receive an error message upon loading a particular file and I would like to rectify the problem
The error message is the one that talks about TS13717811 knowledge base virus. It says it's looking for Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
I did a search on the pc for acad.vlx, didn't find it, it's also only one file, and when I open the drawing, all the text is there and works. Also to further prove that it wasn't the virus I copied everything out, and placed it in to a new drawing and the error message doesn't appear on the new file.
So I believe it's not a the virus. But something specific to that file, now once I open the drawing I am unable to find any errors with the drawing also I am unable to find what is pointing to these language packs. There is no errors in STYLE, also after doing a PURGE and an AUDIT I am still unable to find the error.
So what I am after is #1 confirmation that my assumption about the virus is correct and #2 how to locate what is pointing to these language packs so I can manually remove it, as obviously the purge was unable to do that.
Also looking for the same to find SHX files that are unable to be found, cause no errors and yet are unable to be found or purged.

Sep 18, 2013Sometimes when loading some DWGs, I get this Warning (plaese see the French JPG capture) saying that maybe I could need : Korean, Japan, Chine, etc language module !
I would like to bypass this Warning automatically because I open these DWGs with a Script to do some automatic actions and I resave them ...
At the Warning question : Do you want to open --> YES
I don't think that I can control this warning (--> Yes) through a special System Variable !?

Is this due to me not actually having AutoCAD installed on my development box? I do have references to AcDbMgd and AcMgd loaded in my project if that makes a difference.

Photoshop :: Language - With PS 7.0
Dec 10, 2008I turn to you with the question regarding Photoshop 7.0.
I have purchased this program from the physical person, and this is a German version. The documentation, package and the instruction are published in English, that is why I thought that this program is English version as well.
My question is: if I can install English version from different source using my original key?
Does my original key contains all language versions of PS7.0 or just the German version?
I have registered my key on the Adobe website, and there is no information that it works only with the German version.
I know, that PS7.0 is not supported,
On my back cover of CD is stickers with this info: PHSP,7.0,RET,IE... and then number. IE means International English?
But why on CD I have German version?

Mar 24, 2004I bought a used computer from someone so I am not sure what was previously on his computer. I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS form CNET. After install the language was in Italian. Uninstalling and re-installing does not help. I am thinking that there must be a registry entry somewhere but I cannot find it.
