If Video studio x2 or x3 is capable of editing video captured with this camcorder and is it a difficult process to transfer video into video studio ?
View 2 RepliesI am using Video Studio x2 and I am trying to edit video from my HD camcorder. The video that I am trying to edit is in MPEG4 format and at a rate of 30fps at 1280x720. I have tried to change the properties within Videostudio but when I try to watch it or do anything else, the programme crashes and I have to start again. In the past I have to down grade the format to DVD, and then it works, but at a cost. Does VSx2 support this format or do I have to upgrade the programme to support HD editing? I am using a Laptop with a intel core 2 prossessor and a 1024mb Nvidia Geforce graphic card, which I feel should be enough.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use two cameras to capture video. I have been using my Sony DCR-SR47 Almost since the day I bought VSX3. I am still using both. However I am now having stuttering in the audio. I do not have to render the video. I can import the video and play a clip fine, once I trim it then do a playback without rendering it I get the stutter. It occurs at regular intervals.

The audio is also giving me a "reverb" effect. Like a barrel effect. This is the input format of the footage. This is the output footage

Output: Using Windows XPSP3 with all current updates. And have all codex installed. I did switch from using CCCP codex package to K-Lite recently.

If I so much as drop 3D file onto the timeline and tag it as 3D (SBS L-R in my case), I get the "... lost 3D attributes..." message when I try to create a 3D file. I tried tagging a 2D file as 3D for S&Gs and got the same result. In case it matters, the files are in .avi format (and even rendering a 2D version of these makes a jumpy video, but I digress...).
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm new to video editing and am using video studio Pro X3, everytime I edit some video or want to use a clip. The trimmed video always flashes the first frame at the start and finish of the trimmed clip. Also when I add a subtitle or text in the time line, that first frame flashes by at the beginning and end of of the text. This is very annoying and doesn't look very good in the project. How can I remove this first frame and how do I prevent it in the first place??
View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to X3 and it will happily load 1920 x 1080 @ 50p x264/AVC files from a Pan HDC-HS700 just fine (and reports the details correctly but as PAL HDMV). As I play these back in native form on my HTPC (and they look stunning) I just want to EDIT them, then smart render them out in the same format.
This is where I seem to come unstuck, as if I choose "Create Video FIle --> Same as First Video Clip", X3 wants to pump it out as PAL, MPEG 720 x 576 @25fps! I can also not find or create a template that matches the specs of the format.
So
1) Can X3 handle 1920 x 1080 @ 50p x264/AVC out of the box
2) Is there a "tweak" like old versions where you can expose additional CODEC settings to handle 1920 x 1080 @ 50p x264/AVC
3) ....if not what alternative software does work with 1920 x 1080 @ 50p x264/AVC (as Pana's bundled HD Writer is very limited)
While using X3, on a Vista 32 bit, 2.1 ghz dual core, 3gb ram, a 7600GT card -- while editing HD video, I get a lot stuttering during playback in edit mode -- often the sound stumbles too, all of which makes it hard to see how my work is progressing.
Checking the task manager, the memory is only about 50% used and processor doesn't appear taxed, so question is, why is this happening and what can I do about it.
I often have the problem that when I am editing a video in Videostudio Pro X5 the clips often seem jerky.
View 7 Replies View Relatedprobably isn't an X4 issue exactly, but when i'm done editing a video file in X4, i'll close the file and insert the next video file to edit. when i go into windows explorer to delete the first file i just finished editing, it won't let me delete it because it says it's currently in use. How to delete it without having to close down X4 to do so?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 and every time I put a song in the project and play it, no sound comes along. It just stays still and after a few seconds goes to the end of the sound file.
Also, whenever I edit a video that has sound, when I play the project, the sound comes all wrong in the part of the edited video. If I did nothing in other videos of the same project, the sound comes good from them. It happens with x2 and with x3.
I am using VS 10 and I have successfully captured all the video needed for this project (DV format). My project is an interview where I used 2 cameras during the recording session. On one camera I used a microphone and I want to use that audio throughout the project for consistency. At the beginning of the session I recorded a timer from my laptop screen to better sync the video during editing.
I placed one camera video on the video track and the other on the overlay #1 track. I moved the overlay clip so it matched the frame of the timer on the video track. The 2 tracks synched up perfectly. How to cut back and forth from the second camera. I extracted the video track audio to the audio track thinking I could just cut the video track and the overlay track and slide the overlay track up to the video track. But, it won’t let me cut the overlay track. By the way, while not an expert,I am also not a first time user with the software as I have made a number of projects over the years.
It has been a while since I have used VS Pro x3 and am just starting a new project but when I go to capture footage the only options I am getting are as per the attached screenshot,

I'm starting with the corrected JPEG and then highlighting the original video so they are both selected, but the JPEG settings are not applied to the video when I Sync Settings -- things like color, sharpening, and noise reduction.

Just bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-Zs7 wich shoots AVCHS Lite HD video and a lesser quality .MOV files as well. I wanna know if Prox3 can deal with these before I upgrade!! I have Prox2 right now.
I am trying to produce a DVD for private use only from a recording of a free-to-air TV one-off program. The program was recorded by my PVR set-top box that we use to convert the digital (HD, I *think*!) signal for our old analog TVs.
After quite a lot of work - due more to my lack of expertise than anyhting else - I have a VideoStudio project that seems to play quite nicely on the PC.
However, when I burn a DVD, the result is very jerky and flickery - to me, it seems as if the frame speed is too slow.
On one attempt, I noticed that the final .VOB file was only about 2GB - 51 minutes of video - and I decided to try increasing the video bitrate (I think that's what it was). The new .VOB file was a little over 4GB, so I expected the quality to be better.
Not so! In fact (without being able to play the two DVDs at the same time) I think it might be even worse at the higher bitrate.
I am editing a video using VS X3 and am using both AVCHD 1080i and AVCHD lite 720p clips.
What would be the best format to retain quality when I render as a file and then copy onto a USB stick to play on my Bluray player? My player seems able to read most formats.
I usually download my DV tape from the Panasonic analog camcorder to my JVC DVD recorder. However, I wanted to try downloading from the cam to the PC. I connected the cam to the PC and started VS Pro X3. When I click on "source" I get the message: No video device driver installed or device is not connected. The device (cam) is connected and the 1394 port is wrong properly. Then the video driver is needed. Where do I get this from-do I need to reinstall VS?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have used old tape type camcorder (sony) for 7 years and used firewire cable(1394) to capture the video into my desktop. capturing file format was AVI(DV type 1). It's pretty big size of files but I like this type of file format because there were no compression so that I can keep an uncompressed original DV files. When I captured(download) the video from camcorder, I usually turn power on the camcorder after connect into desktop, then VideoStudio automatically recognized my old SONY camcorder so it's always ready to capture the videos.
BTW, I purchased new HD camcorder (JVC, model jvc gz-e10). I did connect same what I did tape camcorder, but neither my computer nor VSX5 can't recognized to capture. (It just only detect as movable device, i.e. SD card...)
How to capture this video clip from HD camcorder using VideoStudio program? Inside of SD card, captured files have "mts" file extension.
I have been using VS for quite a few years firstly with VS6 and currently have X3 (depending on a few things I will probably upgrade to X4).
Up until the present time I have been capturing on my PC at home via fire-wire from my current camcorder (Canon MD 235 which of course uses mini DV) . I want to purchase a new laptop to give me some mobility and also be able to edit produce DVD's on the move, looking around virtually no current laptops (unless I go well beyond my budget (around £500)) have fire-wire or even an express port to use a expansion card with fire-wire.
I realize that I will probably have to step up and get a newer more up to date camcorder over the summer and what I am trying to understand is the difference in capture formats. I like the look of some of the low end Hard drive/flash/SD card camcorders around, but how do you import to PC, is all done by USB?
In what formats is the video imported and how easy in comparison to say Avi files and is it easy to edit video using VS and produce a DVD from the resulting files?
The capture went just fine when digitizing my tape and the .mov file has both audio and video during playback in both quick time and Adobe Premeir Pro, but when I drag it into the time line only audio will show up. Even weirder it's 4 layers of audio instead of just one audio and one video. This only began with videos that I catured today. When using footage I captured on a previous day it works just fine. What went wrong? Where's my video!?

I am importing RAW and AVI footage capture from a program called DXtory. I am recording those videos with three audio tracks, one track covers the sound of the video game being played, one track covers my microphone input, and the last track covers the sound that comes through my teamspeak server.
When I import a video into Corel am I able to separately edit each audio track? IE change the volume of one input but not the other?
Can you create speech balloons in editing VS Pro X5 video clips?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just installed VS X5 and when attempting to capture/import from my Panasonic HDC-TM 700 camcorder am unable to do so. I get two messages either "Use a display environment of 1024* 768 or more", or "There is no capture driver installed on this system". Neither of which make much sense.
I was previously using VS X4 with no problems importing. Should I assume that the necessary driver is on the DVD or do I need to download another driver. I have HD Writer AE installed.
I currently have a Sony HDR-CX160 camcorder, which does not have a firewire port. I also have a 3 month Dell XPS8500, which does not have a firewire port. I am running Windows 7 64bit. When I hook up my camcorder via USB, Windows DOES recoginize it. It is not recognized by Corel, not in the Capture Video, Import form Digital Media,, Import from Mobile Device or Stop Motion. (my webcam does show up) It does not show up in the pull down tree. I understand that you can use Windows Movie Maker, or the supplied Sony PMB software to download it, but I paid for Corel to be able to do this. Why I would like Corel to be able to do this is that you need a"live" camera to be able to use the Stop Motion Capture, not something that has been recorded before.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just purchased an Aiptek GO-HD hi-def camcorder that outputs movies in 16:9 1280x720 H.264 MOV files. I can't seem to get these to work with VS10 or VS11. It either locks up when rendering to a DVD (VS10), or the DVD that it makes has extremely choppy video and audio and is unusable (VS11).

The camcorder is a Panasonic HDC-SDT750 and it connects to my computer without problem and is recognised by Windows (7) MY Computer is a Hewlett Packard S5206, Windows 7 64 bit.
I am using VSX5 and have downloaded the latest version of Hewlett Packard's video drivers and the latest version of Direct X.
Ive been attempting to import AVCHD video footage captured on a Panasonic into Premier Pro CS6 on my MacPro. I've tried this from the camera and after copying the entire folder to my desktop. The footage is there, but has no audio!
