I if I add an object, let's say a line to the DB. And colour it with an
RGB (255, 255, 255) value. When I hold the mouse over the line,
it disappears. Move the mouse off the line and it re-appears.
We need a macro that will allow you to select a certain color fill inside document and change all to no fill hairlines. It needs to be capable of doing it several times within the same document. Does anything like this exist out there?
We have color replacer. We want it to do this automactically with a static group of colors everytime without any manual maniplulation required.
My problem is: after any command or repeating it, the mouse pointer disappear for few second, when I just have installed the software I won't have this problem.

This is just temporary since I only have to switch out of Photoshop and in again and the pointer is back, but since it happens often, it becomes really annoying...

I am using Land Desktop 2004 but I am posting here in hope that 2012 users will have experienced this issue in the past.
The problem is thus: I am using the SNAPSHOT tool in Adobe Reader to capture some standard drawings in a PDF to the clipboard. I then paste these captures into AUTOCAD as OLE objects. I have been doing this forever without problems. In this particular drawing when I close and re-open the OLE objects are blank rectangles. The reset button is gray in the OLE object properties so there is no way to reset them. Everytime I remove them and redo the process they are gone when I re-open the drawing. AUDIT runs clean.

This is only the case for some objects in my 3D view. I have no problem with the visibility of the objects in the structural plans or elsewhere. How can I make all objects visible in 3D again when clicking on them?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI note that from time to time I can't see the counter and this is quite an annoyance. When the invisible pointer hover over or passes over an object, the latter will highlight as usual. I have to close and restart the drawing each time due to this issue. Is there an explanation for it, even a solution to prevent this from happening?
NOTE : This is limited to the drawing area only. I can see the pointer in the menu/toolbar area and outside autocad but not in the drawing area.
We need to xref a drawing with a different unit. When I go into the drawing file I want to xref and use the "-DWGUNITS" command I change it from feet to inches and use Architectural. Answer yes to all questions and certain objects disappear. Most of the objects are pline or spline objects. Here is what I see in the AutoCAD Text Window:

There a lot more of scaling failed messages. too many to show. How can I xref in these drawings with different units without objects disappearing?
I try to zoom into an object with my mouse and it disppears. I zoom out and it reappears but it's too far away, I zoom in again and it disappears. Why is it doing this? I click zoom object and that works but I don't want to do that every single time and even that isn't zoomed in enough.

(I understand the best way is to shoot the photos in a specific environment to disallow this effect, but I am asking if there is away to edit it using Light room and remove the flash effect).

The issue I am having a problem with is a mouse cursor freeze when I select an object with no command active.When I select an object, the cursor will freeze for about a second before I can move it again. When I hit escape to de-select the object the same thing happens.
This is with Acad LT 2011. WinXP. Normal operation this computer runs ACAD quite fast, no particular lags or anything except maybe when selecting to copy or move very large groups of objects, or when switching between layouts or to model space when there is a fair amount of stuff in the layout, or when regen on a large file size.
This mouse cursor lag was not always the case, but at some point this problem appeared.I have tried save, regen, regenall, closing the drawing, exiting ACAD LT, rebooting the computer.
It's very irritating, since so much of using ACAD is clicking and doing things with the mouse, that it really slows down my production, to have to get a cup of coffee every time I do a select action with the mouse.About a week ago I installed the trial version of LT 2012 to see if it was different. When I opened the same dwg in 2012 there was no lag.
I then closed this and opened the dwg in 2011, and there was no lag. So it seems that the installation of the 2012 trial version changed something in the way 2011 operated.It has been operating fine now with no lag until this morning. Now I have the lag again.When I now open the same dwg in 2012, I now have this lag in 2012 as well.
I did not change any settings in 2012 or 2011 like hardware acceleration or whatever. I just suddenly had this lag, and now I can't seem to get rid of it. Attached is a file that was made by opening ACAD LT 2011 and drawing a few lines, then saving it. No template used.On my computer with this file, I get the mouse cursor lag when I select a line.
When moving the mouse over objects, the objects are automatically selected. Are there a way to disconnect that function, so the objects are not selected before I click the mouse?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using my PC not cloud and had created drop shadows on several objects using the fx feature on the layers palate. When I added drop shadow to last object adjusted the distance to 9 & saved as default. Blending is on multiply still, but shadows no longer appear on all the objects.
What could I have accidentally done to alter all shadows where they no longer appear?
I have a chain moving along a spline, and I want to know how to make the chain disappear when it reaches a certain point, then reappear when it moves out of that point. I don't want the whole chain disappearing, i just want the part of the chain that has moved off of the spline.

I'm trying to make the clawshot from twilight princess. The chain shoots out a hundred feet, but then disappears when it goes into the device.
I am having both objects disappear after a Boolean Union (I am going to try creating just two random objects - a cube and a sphere - and seeing if the operation works with them).
One thing that I have thought is that the resolution of the mesh might be srewing up the operation (The sizes of the polygons in the two objects is pretty different).
So that might be a factor (when I am in Mudbox, I could try not subdividing the smaller objects as much as the larger one, so that the polygons are the same size).

Can not click on multiple objects or lines for erase,trim or extend commands. Is there a mode that I have turned on by accident , driver warning also comes up in trim offset command.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've gotten into a mode where I can't move objects by click dragging the mouse with the left mouse button. I've looked everywhere to see if there is some config parameter that changes the meaning of mouse buttons, but have found none. I've rebooted and reloaded Draw and nothing has changed. I'm sure X6 didn't come this way, even though I've only been using X6 for 6 months or so. I click drag move objects all the time, so I'm sure I'd have noticed this. I've even tried resetting the workspace, but holding down the F8 key while loading Draw doesn't seem to work.

I have all my selection masks - ON, I have tried all the variations of the selecting tools settings. Reseted the settings, deleted the preffs folder, uninstalled Maya, reinstalled again. Problem persist on 2011 and 2012 versions.
I can select every other object (surface, curves, planes) except those poly things. The only way to select is right button - select all and then remove the unwanted from the mass selection. How to activate selection with mouse!
how to turn off the mouse function when the mouse cursor moves over a feature, such as an edge, point, or surface, and highlights it. I don't want it highlighting the features automatically. I want it to highlight once I click over a feature. My colleagues and I are very distraught by this feature, and will be discontinuing our use of your products that do not allow us to turn this feature off. I'm not sure why you'd want to weed your customer base like this, assuming that I can't turn this option off from the research I've done pouring through the hundreds of complaints related to this issue. I haven't been able to find any posts recently, or regarding Inventor 2013 specificially on this issue, so I was hoping this version had the option of turning it off. Does any of Autodesk's software, such as AutoCAD, have the option of turning it off?

i have been trying to get this colored CAD drawing in high quality and more presantable. First, i created this shape and i applied gradient and i used the maximum capacity of gradient which i knew.
Is there any better way that i could do it in 2012 CAD get a better quality drawing in more details or should i use another software?
That's the problem, I can't see the colored window when I go over my selection, I checked the options and I see everything seems OK...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI create MFC enclosures with various gasses. These enclosures can be quite large with three or more gas types. I create view representations with gas name and color the flow path for each gas in the named view. Is there a way to turn on all the colored overrides in one view to see all the various colors at once? I thought MASTER would show all colors but it does not. If not the only way would be to create the view of all gasses on and re-do all the work from all the prevous views.

I have recently downloaded a .stp file of an AOD pump from a manufacturers website. Once I imported it into Inventor the appearance is a rust color and all features have a yellow outline. I am able to insert into a main assembly but I have not found a way to change the color or get rid of the yellow outline. See attached screen print.
