Can not click on multiple objects or lines for erase,trim or extend commands. Is there a mode that I have turned on by accident , driver warning also comes up in trim offset command.
View 6 RepliesI just started having an issues with the delete feature. When I click on an object and it highlights it--when i hit the delete button, it doesn't delete the object any more. Also i should be able to click on as many object as i want, now it makes me hold the shift key down. And also when I click on an object then pull the layers tab down to assign it to a diffent layer ---it won't change it now.. what do you think is going on with the software and who might I contact to get this problem corrected.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use cs2 and when in photoshop when i left click on any of the tools for instance the pen tool it brings up the menu to select pen tool, freeform pen tool, etc.. rather than just selecting it. I am use to having to right click on the the pen tool to get that menu, i was wondering how i would change it back. Same thing happens when i left click on all the tools on the tools menu, just used the pen tool as an example.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a tablet and I am trying to change brush size and hardness with the pen but I keep creating new layers. Is there a way to turn this off because I would like it to flow better. With the mouse if I ctrl+alt +left mouse is gives me a new copy of my layer. With the pen I get the pressure/size to come up but it is fickle and mostly just resorts to creating a new layer copy which is what I want to disable so it just does the brush size/hardness option. It seems the left mouse click doesn't display in any keyboard shortcuts.

In the past, it wasn't this touchy. It's so touchy that it's impossible to CONSISTENTLY click once and make the scroll thingy move just one position. In previous versions, it works like a charm. Is there a way to adjust this mouse issue?
I use it on every image for cloning so that I can check one section at a time. For this reason, I've now gone back to CS5, but also because CS6 crashes on me and it sometimes gets stuck on Auto Saving files (possibly because they're big).
I just bought Photoshop CS6 and it seems that it isn't working properly. I run Windows 7. The left click and left alt are not working. The buttons work perfectly on other programs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe issue I am having a problem with is a mouse cursor freeze when I select an object with no command active.When I select an object, the cursor will freeze for about a second before I can move it again. When I hit escape to de-select the object the same thing happens.
This is with Acad LT 2011. WinXP. Normal operation this computer runs ACAD quite fast, no particular lags or anything except maybe when selecting to copy or move very large groups of objects, or when switching between layouts or to model space when there is a fair amount of stuff in the layout, or when regen on a large file size.
This mouse cursor lag was not always the case, but at some point this problem appeared.I have tried save, regen, regenall, closing the drawing, exiting ACAD LT, rebooting the computer.
It's very irritating, since so much of using ACAD is clicking and doing things with the mouse, that it really slows down my production, to have to get a cup of coffee every time I do a select action with the mouse.About a week ago I installed the trial version of LT 2012 to see if it was different. When I opened the same dwg in 2012 there was no lag.
I then closed this and opened the dwg in 2011, and there was no lag. So it seems that the installation of the 2012 trial version changed something in the way 2011 operated.It has been operating fine now with no lag until this morning. Now I have the lag again.When I now open the same dwg in 2012, I now have this lag in 2012 as well.
I did not change any settings in 2012 or 2011 like hardware acceleration or whatever. I just suddenly had this lag, and now I can't seem to get rid of it. Attached is a file that was made by opening ACAD LT 2011 and drawing a few lines, then saving it. No template used.On my computer with this file, I get the mouse cursor lag when I select a line.
When i click my mouse to draw the cursor moves up and to the left of the position i started which makes any and all editing impossible. Imagine trying to draw a line but the starting point is a half to a full inch up and to the left of where you wanted the line to start. I've tried a clean install even changed my mouse. doesn't do it it drawx4 only photo-paint x4.

I have all my selection masks - ON, I have tried all the variations of the selecting tools settings. Reseted the settings, deleted the preffs folder, uninstalled Maya, reinstalled again. I can select every other object (surface, curves, planes) except those poly things. The only way to select is right button - select all and then remove the unwanted from the mass selection. How to activate selection with mouse!
I've gotten into a mode where I can't move objects by click dragging the mouse with the left mouse button. I've looked everywhere to see if there is some config parameter that changes the meaning of mouse buttons, but have found none. I've rebooted and reloaded Draw and nothing has changed. I'm sure X6 didn't come this way, even though I've only been using X6 for 6 months or so. I click drag move objects all the time, so I'm sure I'd have noticed this. I've even tried resetting the workspace, but holding down the F8 key while loading Draw doesn't seem to work.

I should be able to left-click on a layer, hold in the shift key while left-clicking on a layer further down the list to select multiple layers. It doesn't work, I can't even get the (Alt-Left Click) command to work, allowing me to select individual layers.
Both these commands work in Image Ready and Flash just fine.
I have checked the keyboard settings, but I am not really sure what to look for - nothing seems out of the ordinary.
when i am trying to use a function like mirror or offset..etc i will select the lines or objects then i will make a mistake such as selecting the wrong base point or such. i then press esc to end that function and try again but find it annoying that i have to select all the lines again. is there a quicker way to reselect the last lines or objects selected. I have two menus that I use often and I would like to add them to my mouse buttons. Attached is a picture of the two menus I like and the two buttons. The Shift + Click has the correct menu already (Osnap menu2) my problem is adding my custom menu to the CTRL + Click doesn't work. I labeled Osnap Menu 1 and 2, 1 being the custom menu I have use in the past and 2 being the default osnap menu that comes with the cui file. How to get the second button to read my menu rather than both read the same osnap 2 menu?

As you might see in the attached drawing, the red circles are objects wanted. I have been trying to export their coordinates as well as their IDs in grids, e.g D28, Easting: Northing: . I still haven't found a good way to export ID for each circle.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOK, today, or actually just this afternoon I've noticed it has become much harder to select items with the mouse.
Points, nodes, etc...anything where you'd typically hover the mouse over the item and it highlights for you to select it.
For example, lets say you want to project a point from another sketch, or select the center node of a line, etc.
Never really had an issue until this afternoon where now it seems I have to be right on top of the item and I cannot budge one bit or it won't select it. It is now taking me numerous attempts to select things like points (zooming in does not work, points scale accordingly).
Is there a setting somewhere? I can't seem to find such under Tools>Application Options and the like.
I find it extremely annoying to have to Ungroup named groups and then regroup and rename them in order to do a multiple selection of group members. I find I'm constantly ungrouping and regrouping in order to select/edit.
Note that the multiple items are often not the same type of object (e.g., text, line, shape, etc.).

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but suddenly my Type Tool can not select type by double clicking or click and drag any more.
I'm using Illustrator CS4 (14.0.0) on a MacPro with OSX 10.6.8.
I have been using AutoCAD 2010 for a while now and then all of a sudden, I am unable to select multiple lines. The only way to select more than one line for a command is to hold down the shift button and then select more lines. I think someone was playing around with the computer and must have changed a setting?
