I have a finished 3D model in AutoCAD (although I did import it from another program), and I want to create the standard orthographic views as easily as possible. This tutorial looked perfect [URL].........
but i ran into some trouble. At step 5, where it says to press Base or use the command VIEWBASE i get a window that will ask me to open up some kind of inventor file. The tutorial does not acknowledge this, but the rest of the instructions and result seem like just what I need!
Is there a way to force the table and table text height to stay constant despite the scale? I can do it for Point Label Styles with an Expression. But in 2011 there is no way to build an expression for a table style.
I want to create tables in the drawing where the points are and then plot them from a drawing they're Xrefed in to. The tables are too small but zooming in doesn't make them any bigger because the scale of the viewport changes and they adjust.
i ve noticed that when i switch to orthographic view i cannot render the view. i have only black render output. how to make a render in say top view or front?
"Displacement is ON and set to view-dependent, but the view being rendered is orthographic. View-dependent displacement does not work with orthographic views."
After using ONE orthographic camera in a scene, however I am no longer using that Camera and still receiving the error. What should I do?
Whenever i move my cursor over a 3D solid, outlines of the solid stay dashed.I tried changing the visual effect settings but it doesn't work.
it doesn't only do this in every view (top, side, front) but also when i'm panning around and hover my mouse over any solid. Using the regen command resets the solids so that they don't have the dashed outlines anymore.
whenever i'm panning around and i have conceptual view on, i have to switch from conceptual -> wireframe -> conceptual if i want the solids to look normal again.
Is there a way to set a precise orthographic view - such as at 45 degrees. I need to render objects and take them into another application to dimension them so a set angle would be very useful.
When using the spot tool, often it is very difficult to see when it is against anything light colored in the picture. So is there a key to touch that might change the cursor to red or some color when needed?
As it is possible to import 3D objects in PS... And display it in outline in an orthographic view, I'm wondering how to print this view at scale 1:1 of the model size...
and not the size of the image file defined in pixels. AS a workaround is it possible to export that view in vector format to edit and print in Illustrator or Acrobat.
When in Orthographic view and in back, left, right, top, bottom, front view, I cannot draw an object as Cube by example. To be able to make the object I have to move a little bit my view .
Example. If I was in Ortho - Back view, I move the view a bit so it is not perfectly on the back view than it allowed me to draw object. Another way is to change to Perspective view.
why I cannot make object on straight orthographic view?
I create MFC enclosures with various gasses. These enclosures can be quite large with three or more gas types. I create view representations with gas name and color the flow path for each gas in the named view. Is there a way to turn on all the colored overrides in one view to see all the various colors at once? I thought MASTER would show all colors but it does not. If not the only way would be to create the view of all gasses on and re-do all the work from all the prevous views.
In the previous versions of civil 3d 2012 or earlier, I never had a problem with the view cube not staying pointed to the north. Since I never touched it in the past, how do I get it to stay pointed to the north?
We need a macro that will allow you to select a certain color fill inside document and change all to no fill hairlines. It needs to be capable of doing it several times within the same document. Does anything like this exist out there?
We have color replacer. We want it to do this automactically with a static group of colors everytime without any manual maniplulation required.
I'm remaining with the orthographic projects of the object [see image] and the project is due some time next week. I'm having a hard time drawing the orthographic projections.
I have a 2D drawing in model space that is set on the front orthographic view. If you change it, using the viewcube, to "top", the drawing appears as a straight line because it is now looking at a top view of the 2D drawing. How can I change it so that the top view will display the whole drawing?
the image above is a piping layout with two 45 degrees elbows. i drew the side view, then the the top view
now one of the 45 degrees elbow is replaced by a 90 degrees elbow. i don't how to draw this because the 90 degrees elbow rotate 45 degrees from the horizon.
I am currently attempting to dimension to a spline in an orthographic drawing and running into some issues. I can't seem to find a way to properly dimension rather than making microscopic holes in the piece and that way giving the .idw something to grab on to for dimensioning.
I am having an issue running AutoCAD LT 2011 on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. If I have orthographic dimensions on the drawing, AutoCAD crashes if I try to move, modify, or delete the dimensions. Recovery does not work. I am stuck with the dimensions once they are placed because if I touch them, the program crashes.
I do not know if this is important but I will include it anyway: this does not happen with older drawings that were created under older versions of AutoCAD LT. It only happens with ortho dimensions created in LT 2011.
I have applied all the latest patches, drivers for the video card, and even tried opening the drawings in 32-bit mode. Nothing seems to work.
My system is a Dell Precision T3500 Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bitIntel Xeon Dual Core 2.53GHz cpu12GB ramNvidia Quadro 4000 running Nvidia driver version 265.70
I am trying to draw an isometric version of this part from first angle orthographic projections. But for the life of me I can't, I have never been good at nets / pr Attachment ortho to iso.jpgojections etc.
recently i tried working with the modeling toolkit in maya 2014, and it works great in perspective, but for some reason when im in component mode and I try and make a marquee selection, the marquee does not show up although it does select the component.
After selecting some component and try moving then with the translate handles, it does not move at all, instead it deselect the components.I am able to middle click move components.
So i decided to turn off the modeling toolkit and everything worked fine with the classic manipulators.
My cursor appears and disappears while in GIMP as I move the cursor over the canvas. I can make the cursor appear but only if there is no movement of the cursor. It makes no difference which tool I select, the size of the canvas, or the level of zoom.
Please note that this only occurs in Gimp, and none of my other applications. It started when I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my input device configuration, but I could be totally wrong.
I have a total of 3 input devices - Core Pointer, Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, and Virtual Core XTEST Pointer. Both the Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer are DISABLED. Core Pointer is the only one enabled. Enabling Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer give me other problems in Gimp and need to remain disabled.
For the Core Pointer, Mode is set to SCREEN, a message says that 'The axis X has no curve', and the following Axis Settings: X 1 Y 2 Pressure none xtilt none ytilt none wheel none
In Gimp Preferences->Input Controllers, there are three active controllers - Mouse Buttons, Main Mouse Wheel, and Main Keyboard.
Methods of which I chose acToolbarDockFloating all nice but because floating hasn’t been saved in a workspace (yet) means that the toolbar is placed in the top left corner. To cut a series of tests and playing round with lisp and scripts and the likes I'm after a way of simply forcing the new toolbar in the dead centre of the screen using VBA.
I have googeld and the likes but cant find anything that resembles like
ObjToolbr.Dock acToolbarDockFloating 200, 200
(Presuming the location of the toolbar I want to force is 200 by 200)
Our company is using 2012Lt and has a couple (3) regular templates we use. The problem is I have to keep going back to the templates and clean them out (txt styles, layers, etc) and what I suspect is happening is that someone starts a new dwg does some work and the auto save kicks in before they "save as".
Question, is there a way to force someone to "Save As' immediately after they start a new dwg?
