I am trying to make an thematic map and i want to enter at the value an interval. For example i want to dysplay all constructions that were made between 1980 and 2012 and i dont know what to write at the Value. I've tried to enter (1980,2012) but is not good

For eg: I have a layer called CIty with object data for name, country, etc. I would like to display a common symbol for all city points in ASIA, a different symbol or color for others etc. how can it be done with autocad.
I set the thematic rules for a connected data (example .shp file) in the style editor, can I use this thematic rules automatic for other connected data? This other connected data (other, slightly modified .shp file) have same values as the first.
(I think this so, as in arcview the .avl file, or in arcmap the .lyr file)
Can I export, and than import the thematic rules?
Setting the label size for multiple thematic rules, I couldn’t figure out how the label size can be set for multiple thematic rules in one go (attached).

I attached data to parcel and building number, and I want to create topology and then to create thematic queries, based on any data attached to the numbers. And I don't know how to do that, and how can I use thematic query to show me the specific parcels based on the data I want if the table is attached to the parcel number and not on polylines. Same thing on buildings...
For example: I want to make some thematic maps based on tax value, street where the parcel is located, area, or on buildings: how many levels they have, and more.
I uploaded a example file to be more specific, with data attached to numbers, without topology created (drawing cleanup is done).

I work with a drawing that for some reason don't have a proper fence line in it. I tried to load another .lin file, but still the fence line looks funny. The line I'm after looks and work ok in alla other files but this one!
I tried to copy paste a fence line from another drawing but what's pasted is just half the linetype...

Right now i have to FLATTEN my project every time i want to do any action (like offset for example), because my Z plane values are different.

I thought the idea for the Mtext background mask was to put a transparent mask behind the text to 'grey-out' the object below the text.
When I do that and select a mask color it plots as a black box. So I select a color that normally plots as a screened entity but it still plots out as a solid black mask.
How can I make the mask transparent? Can I not mask out what's below the text? My plotter is set up to plot line weights by line color.
when I tried downloading and installing this INCREMENT app from the Exchange Store. First, I can't get this to run at all. If I go into the CUI settings dialogue, I don't see this plug-in listed anywhere where it should appear. It had occurred to me that maybe the only way this app works is from the plug-in tab and not from the command line, but I'm not sure that makes any sense, either seems it should work either way, if I'm interpreting the documentation correctly. But, I cannot make my ribbon tab appear to check out my probably mistaken theory (see above). Navigating around the CUI dialogue and checking the settings for my tab, I see that it is set to "show" and there is every indication that it should appear, but there seems to be something buggy or suspicious going on with the
Control-0 (clean screen) toggle and/or the Control-9 (command line) toggle as well?I don't see how either of these would have any affect on the visibility of my tab, if they were toggled to the correct setting. I am the only person using this workstation so it's not like there is a profile issue at work here.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to create DXF in AutoCAD 2012, Civil 3D 2012 and Lt 2012 and every time I try to open the DXF after creating it, it comes up with:
Error in APPID table
DXF rear error on line 21308
Invalid or incomplete DXF input - drawing discarded.
I've tried saving it various DXF formats: 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2010, and all show up with the same error.
I use the Key Design Accelerator, i suceded in making the Keyhole in the shaft, but cannot complete the selection for the hub.
I selected the 2 hub's faces, but am stuck in the third and last selection box for the hub, the Second Reference

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a drawing that has three different viewports with the scales of 1-250, 1-500 & 1-1000. I would like the text I've created in model space, to display at the same size (2.2mm) in all of these different viewports.
I'm using metric, and 1 unit in AutoCAD = 1m. I know that most people use 1 unit in AutoCAD = 1mm, but in my profession (working on large architectural site surveys) 1 unit in AutoCAD = 1m is the norm.
So the viewports are set at 4:1 for 1-250, 2:1 for 1-500 & 1:1 for 1-1000. I've set the text to be annotative, and to have the same scales. The annotation scale is currently set at 2:1 in model space.
Firstly, I don't really understand why and when I'd need to change the annotation scale in model space? I've adjusted it in the past to make sure that lintypes display the same in both model space and within viewports. Is it the same thing?
Secondly, by doing the above, all that I've achieved is that currently in model space the text is 1.1m high (which is what I want, and how I'd originally created it). In the viewports it is now coming out at 8.8mm for 1-250 (4 x too big), 4.4mm for 1-500 (2 x too big), and 2.2mm for 1-1000 (the correct size).
When I activate the viewports, it tells me that "annotation scale is not equal to viewport scale" in all but the 1-1000 viewport.
How can I make the text 2.2mm in all of the viewports?
