Mar 7, 2012I can connect to jp2 aerials via FDO but the images do not come in. They work fine with raster insert, why not FDO?

Corel CONNECT X5 :: Connect Search Doesn't Recognize Keywords In CDR Files
Feb 15, 2012i have been a long user of romcat... but would like to use the new corel connect. i use the folders selected to my HD folder that has all my cdr files (20yrs worth from ver 1). when i type in a search word that is in 100's of my cdr files keywords... connect doesnt display them. In romcat it does display them, even older files, with the same key word. connect only shows cdr files that have in its file name part of the search word, but seems to ignore the key words in the files.
I have all my job files with important key words within them, but the actual file names are simple job numbered names. i noticed on searches from X5 content on dvd, the files also are just numbers, but the search finds key words.

Nov 21, 2013I've started connecting to Raster (.sid) Aerials thru mapwspace rather than inserting them thru the Planning and Analysis Workstation due to greater control with gray scale and resampling raster and such. I started noticing after I save, I can't select anything in my drawing. I was connected to a whole county Aerial .sid file, so i thought maybe if I only connect to individual tiles for my project area which consisted of 9 .sid files, the issue would go away. It didn't. I tried typing REA, purge, audit, then eventually I would crash.
Is there something wrong with FDO connections with .sid files thru mapwspace in C3D 2013???

May 3, 2013I'm trying to construct a complex corridor of urban highway. To simplify corridor i've made assemblies for each side of the road (see picture). This solves problem of countless number of regions (and assemblies) that I'll need to set if assemblies are for whole profile.
The problem with seperate assemblies for each side of the road is that I cannot connect them using Median subassembly because Marked point and Median are in different assemblies.
AutoCAD Map 3D :: DWG Insert That Contains Data Connect
May 15, 2013I have tried the XREF route to look to another drawing to bring in my NED files instead of putting my NEDS with my shapes and point data. The drawing that contains the NEDS were brought in using data connect. When I xref the NED drawing into a new drawing, nothing shows up. Zoom Extents does not show anything nor does anything appear to be turned off. When I do the xref, I see the image of the tiled NEDS and click on use georeferenced location (because I am trying to trick the neds to stay together but translate together). Is there a better way or what could I be missing to get it to show.

AutoCad :: Get The Line To Connect With Circle?
May 24, 2012I have a little problem with trim in autocad 2012. After trimming some lines that cut through a circle there's a big gap between the circle and line, so there's no way i can create a polyline. How do I fix it?

Jan 23, 2013I have one computer that can't connect to the Vault Server. It use to work fine and I am not sure what happened. I have gone to the extreme of uninstalling and re-installing and still nothing. I am in the same project as when it was working. I have checked the Application Options Content Center and made sure that the Access Options is set to Autodesk Vault Server.
When I click on Vault Server, everything is grayed out except "Log In" and "Connection Options". If I click on either of them the dialog box goes away and nothing happens. No error dialogs nothing. If I go to the project amd click on the Configure Content Center Libraries button it just disappears and nothing happens. Not sure what else to do.

Then I created multiple section view for each corridor (pic3) ( for all corridors in section view table tab, i added corridors own materials). but cumulative material volume reset to zero at each new corridors beginning. In my project, corridors cumulative material volume value should continue from the previous corridor's value. Can i connect this volume tables or can i merge corridors ?

When I measure a specific parcel with MAPDIST or MEASUREGEOM i get 140 feet but when I check the distance in ArcGIS I get 156'. The 156' is correct. It's not just that shapefile, the conversion is consistent with other imported data. The ratio is about 1.114

Jun 6, 2013I am using the map connect command to import a geotiff file to NAD83 coordinates. After import, the image displays correctly at the correct location, however my xref manager indicates that the image file location is in my local app folder within the C drive on my computer even though I specified the target base file on our network server. I also noticed the map connect function converts the files to a png file.
Because the image link resides on my computer others cannot view the image when they open the drawing. I don't fully understand how the map connect function works, do I need to use the map insert command if I want the image to be hard linked into the drawing?

Nov 20, 2013We have a SQL Server instance that I connect to over our network. I can access it when I log into SQL Server Management Studio. In AutoCAD Map 3D 2014 I do not have the option to "Add SQL Server Connection". I tried using the SQL Server Spatial connection but the database does not have spatial data. I only see a list of tables but they cannot be added as feature classes and display the message "The feature class doesn't exist" when I click on a table. I also don't have the SQL ServerProvider.dll in the FDO folder. I tried copying the .dll from version 2012 but it didn't work.
How do I connect to my non-spatial data in SQL Server? Is this a permissions issue?

Apr 20, 2013I created one section with two assemblies. Main line assembly and offset (second line) assembly. Each assembly has its own alignment and profile.In strait its all ok, but in curve I get strange situation, that I try to solve. (look to the picture)
I add Mark points on Point 1 and 3. Then connect them using Link Slopes Between Points. Knowing that Point 2 is not static, but moving point I can't find any way to connect subassembly edge point to that Point 2.
So how can I connect subassembly to Point 2? Or maybe there is a smarter way to connect points 1 and 3. Slope from 1 to 2 should be 50:1 and from 2 to 3 should be 1.5:1

Mar 29, 2012I have a jpeg that I am wanting to paint on a 12x15ft canvas. I was thinking of doing like a grid system with 4 inch spaces between lines, and finding the distance from the lines on the jpeg to the edges of the canvas and then connect the dots.
IE a dot 48 inch from top, 108 from left side which connects to a dot 4 inches down (size of grid) until i have an outline.
