Is there a way to connect Map 3D 2006 to an ArcIMS database, and view the data as a raster image overlay? This would be a very useful capability, but although I've come across ways of connecting directly to the ArcSDE server, I can't find any way of viewing data from ArcIMS.

i have been a long user of romcat... but would like to use the new corel connect. i use the folders selected to my HD folder that has all my cdr files (20yrs worth from ver 1). when i type in a search word that is in 100's of my cdr files keywords... connect doesnt display them. In romcat it does display them, even older files, with the same key word. connect only shows cdr files that have in its file name part of the search word, but seems to ignore the key words in the files.
I have all my job files with important key words within them, but the actual file names are simple job numbered names. i noticed on searches from X5 content on dvd, the files also are just numbers, but the search finds key words.
I just got a new Imac for my workspace and I am running AutocadLT 2006 on the windows virtual machine. When I open files from my shared network they are coming up without any toolbars???What can I do to fix this.

im having wired situation where all the geometry are appear in Layout mode but not in Model mode. i've tried to zoom extents but nothing.
there were lots of layers that been frozen, i unfroze them and they all appear , but again only in the Layout mode.
in the Model mode, i can see that all layers are tagged as frozen, but i cant unfreeze them.
i guess if i can unfreeze them i can see them in the Model mode.
We are moving from 2006 AutoCAD Map to 2013 Map 3D. When I do an overlay of files in 2013 Map 3D which was (X-REF) in 2006 the files don’t align, some do some don’t. I didn’t have that problem in 2006 or any other software. I have tried adding a coordinate system to the file to see if it mattered but it didnt unless I'm doing it wrong. It is not just in one file, but in any file from what I can tell. Not just imported hatches either, AutoCAD standard hatches as well. I have reinstalled, downloaded whatever service pack I could find. This is so harmful to productivity.

I have a series of PNG images which have been authored from various sources, but mostly with Gimp. The images have transparent backgrounds and use partial transparency effects like drop shadow, etc. I want to display these on a bitmap layer of the TImage32 component from Graphics32.
I have dropped a TImage32 component onto my form, with the intention being to set the visibility to off, and use the TImage32 as a container for the PNG image I want to draw on the layer.
When I go to load the image at design-time, the dialog has two tabs - it allows me to load the RGB image, and the alpha channel, and I don't know how to produce these - I prouce the image by using the export to PNG function of Gimp. If I load the exported PNG into both the RGB channel and the alpha channel the resulting image doesn't have the transparent background. There obviously must be a procedure I need to follow to get Gimp to produce both the RGB and alpha channels.
I can connect to jp2 aerials via FDO but the images do not come in. They work fine with raster insert, why not FDO?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've started connecting to Raster (.sid) Aerials thru mapwspace rather than inserting them thru the Planning and Analysis Workstation due to greater control with gray scale and resampling raster and such. I started noticing after I save, I can't select anything in my drawing. I was connected to a whole county Aerial .sid file, so i thought maybe if I only connect to individual tiles for my project area which consisted of 9 .sid files, the issue would go away. It didn't. I tried typing REA, purge, audit, then eventually I would crash.
Is there something wrong with FDO connections with .sid files thru mapwspace in C3D 2013???

I'm trying to construct a complex corridor of urban highway. To simplify corridor i've made assemblies for each side of the road (see picture). This solves problem of countless number of regions (and assemblies) that I'll need to set if assemblies are for whole profile.
The problem with seperate assemblies for each side of the road is that I cannot connect them using Median subassembly because Marked point and Median are in different assemblies.
