Jan 26, 2011Im using Autocad LT 2006.
im having wired situation where all the geometry are appear in Layout mode but not in Model mode. i've tried to zoom extents but nothing.
there were lots of layers that been frozen, i unfroze them and they all appear , but again only in the Layout mode.
in the Model mode, i can see that all layers are tagged as frozen, but i cant unfreeze them.
i guess if i can unfreeze them i can see them in the Model mode.

Feb 14, 2013We are moving from 2006 AutoCAD Map to 2013 Map 3D. When I do an overlay of files in 2013 Map 3D which was (X-REF) in 2006 the files don’t align, some do some don’t. I didn’t have that problem in 2006 or any other software. I have tried adding a coordinate system to the file to see if it mattered but it didnt unless I'm doing it wrong. Jun 24, 2013My system crashed and it apparetnly effected AutoCAD 2006 LT. All my toolbars disappeared, etc. I now have it all back the way it was except for my right-click menu is all mess up.
Regardless if an object is selected or not, the Snap Menu appears, instead of the one I was used to (that included Erase, Move, Copy Selection, Scale etc. ). How can I get that back?

Feb 5, 2011Can I take a block that is currently in my drawing and put it into a tool palette? I know how to move blocks from the Design Center to a Tool Palette but I don't know how to get my blocks into the Design Center.
Scenario: We use a number of different fasteners in our drawings but they aren't the fasteners that are currently in the Design Center under "fasteners". I am manually redrawing the same fasteners each time I start a new drawing.

Nov 21, 2011I am looking for a way to force all DWG files created with previous versions of AutoCAD to automatically open "Read Only". For example, using Civil 3D 2011, I open a file that is a 2007 format DWG. I want this file to automatically open read only, and inform the user that it has opened read only.
I'm hoping that this is possible, since opening a 2007 format DWG in a newer AutoCAD already tells you that it's an older format in the command line, and files can already be opened as read only.

Mar 19, 20133 out of every 4 times I select a hatch, to edit properties or delete, AutoCAD gives me the FATAL ERROR message and cannot continue. It is not just in one file, but in any file from what I can tell. Not just imported hatches either, AutoCAD standard hatches as well. I have reinstalled, downloaded whatever service pack I could find. This is so harmful to productivity.
