Oct 2, 2011In VideoStudio X4 (SP1), I am trying to import an edited (VSX4) project into the library in order to use parts of it in a different project. This is something I have done successfully before but the last couple of times I have tried I get the message: “Unable to open file. File format mismatch”. (1081:1:3) There is no problem opening up the project in the normal way it is only when I try and import it into the library. I have compared the properties of these files with the successfully imported files and, to me, they look identical. They were all captured from video in the same way,

Feb 2, 2012This is driving me up the wall, I have pro X4 on my laptop and computer, I can't edit on my laptop as it lags, maybe Corel is too big for my laptop I don't know. On my laptop it allows me to import AVI. files, however, when it comes to my PC, it doesn't.It doesn't make sense how I CAN on my laptop but CAN'T on my pc, It did used to work fine on my pc when I had X2, but towards the end it started making the same error message
'Unable to open file [N:GFFILE309.AVI]. File mismatch'
I'm losing my temper, converting the files isn't an option as it makes my HD footage look like crap and pixilised, it also takes forever. I am at a dead end, I have installed the Corel Videostudio pro x4 codec and that hasn't worked at all.

Each VSP file represents different segments of movie. Each VSP file has items on Overlay track, title track, Music track, as well as transitions.
Each VSP file can be loaded using "Open Project" command under File menu.
Problem: VSPX3 displays error message "Unable to open file" "file format mismatch" [16803:1:2]

Apr 7, 2013Since the 4.4 update I am unable to add Lightroom to the "open with" menu. I was able to do this with 4.3. Now I can't right click a .dng or .jpg and open it with Lightroom.
I right click the .dng file and browse to add a new program as the default program. I navigate to lightroom.exe and select it. But it does not get added to the list of programs.

Everything is updated and the pictures in question have been successfully imported into Lr.
I would like to open individual pictures into Lr, but I am unsuccessful thus far.
I right-click on the picture and choose Open with Lr does not appear in the list of programs, so I click Choose Program.
I went to the Desktop and selected the Lr icon.
Now when I right-click on individual pictures, Lr appears as one of the available programs, but when I select it, the Lr Import dialog opens even though the image has been previously imported into Lr.
Is there any way to correct this so when I right-click on a picture and choose Lr, it opens into the Library or Develop module?

When I try to open lightroom I get the error "an error occurred when attempting to change modules" Thereafter I cannot do anything in LR, when I close & reopen I get back to the installation screen asking me if I have a serial no or would like to run a trial.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled. But no difference.
The first time I opened LR it asked me if I wanted to upgrade my photoshop elements library or create a new one. I opted for create a new one.I installed the trial to see how well LR would work on my Mac as I have it on PC and would like to switch completely over to Mac....

Dec 6, 2013I made a mistake and attempted to install LRcc on mac os 10.6.8. I now understand that this in not supported. Now, when I go back to LR 4, it will open some catalogues, but not the one with the most work in it. Naturally, I have done quite a bit of work since my most recent backup.

May 28, 2012I have found support for Nikon D800 NEF files incomplete in Lightroom 4 with ACR 7.0.
NEF files created by the camera in 16:9 mode using the shutter release set to take stills (setting g4) cannot be previewed or imported in LR 4.
Setting g4 and the 16:9 mode are discussed in the Nikon D800/D800E User Guide on pages 324 and 68 respectively.
Photoshop with ACR 7.1 beta seems to be able to open these files.
