I have just loaded the trial for LR4 on my MacBook Pro. When I try to open lightroom I get the error "an error occurred when attempting to change modules" Thereafter I cannot do anything in LR, when I close & reopen I get back to the installation screen asking me if I have a serial no or would like to run a trial.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled. But no difference.
The first time I opened LR it asked me if I wanted to upgrade my photoshop elements library or create a new one. I opted for create a new one.I installed the trial to see how well LR would work on my Mac as I have it on PC and would like to switch completely over to Mac....
I took D700 and D800e with me and planned on saving to portable HDs. I/3 of files could not be saved in LR4, they had ? on each 'slide' location. I bought Nikon NX2 and images came off CF cards fine and were saved to HD. But, when tried to load those files to LR4, the same thing happened... "?" all over again.
3-4 new Lexar Pro CFs and 2 different cameras... Whats up?
My hard drive crashed and I lost all my pictures. I used a recovery program and it shows them as LRPREV files but I cant open them. Is there any way to get them open and convert them to jpeg.
Lightroom was working fine moving between LR and Nik. Then suddenly I get this error message. How do I fix it? Editing photos in Nik sofware when this message popped up.
When I first purchased my D700, I didn't have a CF card reader, so I've been using a cable with it to import my photos and love doing it that way. All of a sudden, the cable won't work with LR4 anymore. I can still use it to transfer photos to my computer, and THEN import into LR4 but that takes double the amount of time, and it's miserable. I want to keep using my cable, but it doesn't show up with my D700 in the import menu anymore.
I'm trying to import pictures show in raw from my D700 into Lr, but it keeps giving me an "unsupported or damaged" error. This is the second time this happens, the first time I just gave up and imported as .JPG. I've tried importing them from the camera, and from a flashdrive. Neither worked. Running Lightroom 5 on OSX 10.8.4.
After getting no support from your phone support line. I am writing here in hopes that this issue can be resolved. I cannot open files or create new files in Photoshop CC trial.
I am interested in shooting with my D700 and lightroom 3 tethered. Is it possible for the image to be recored both on the card and on the tethered computer?
I reinstalled Adobe Photoshop CS2 because I had problems with opening files with my previous Photoshop CS2.Now I have the same problem: I cannot open files or save them, neither when I try to open it with Photoshop, nor when I open the picture and choose "open with...". Photoshop starts, but nothing happens! What can I do?
I am a student, My school uses CS5 - I have CS6 - I am unable to open my homework at school (cs6 wont open on cs5) But I can still open school work at home (cs5 can be opened in cs6)

Why am I now unable to open NEF files in Ps CS6? Two weeks ago it was all working fine, I can still open my old ones but the photos I took today can't be opened.
When I attampt to open a file in Bridge or from FileOpen in Photoshop CC I get the following message. Windows cannot find C:program files (86) Adobe Adobe Photoshop CS3Photoshop.exe.
I uninstalled CS3 and my CS5 update a couple of months ago. This problem started with being unable to open jpegs and Tiffs from Bridge to Photoshop, it would however, let me open them
in Camera Raw and then into Photoshop. However even this has stopped
Unable to open AVI files in Photoshop CS6 I am running PS6 and want to open and edit AVI files. When I try to do that I get an error message saying "the video file cannot be opened" .
This seems to apply to ALL avis - yet I can open and edit MP4, MMV etc. I installed Gspot to track whether it was a codec issue and when I try to open ANY file I get this error message : "Warning: DirectShow crashed while GSpot was attempting to obtain information about a codec. This is usually due to damaged, misconfigured, conflicting, or poorly written codec drivers. It is possible, perhaps even likely, that other media players will crash when they attempt to play this file as well, as most of them will also use DirectShow.
GSpot was able to intercept the crash, and has attempted to identify the codec or filter involved; uninstalling or reinstalling this codec or filter may solve the problem. The codec was tentatively identified as: C:Windowssystem32imaadp32.acm Unknown video codec #11". I see a site to download the "imaadp32.acm" codec but what about the "Unknown video codec #11". What the heck is that and what do I do about it.
ps I should add that the avi files DO open and play in Bridge. I have the latest Quicktime. Everything is up to date and PS and the computer is otherwise working perfectly !
I just downloaded creative suite 5.5 on my new computer and never had any problems previously. However when i downloaded it to the new computer I am unable to open files.
When I open Photoshop, it opens like it would normally, but when I go to file > open , file > new nothing happens. There is no pop up for a new file and if I click on existing the file doesn't come up.
Can not open any RAW-files in PS CS6. Have tried "everything". Just formatted the hard disk, installed osx Lion again. Then installed CS6 and adobe RAW 7.1. Still can not open any kind of raw files.
I've encountered an issue regarding opening FLV. or AVI file extensions. AVI files - Whenever I try to open AVI files in Corel VideoStudio X5 Pro I get an error message saying "so and so file is not accessible" and then a second message replies: "These files cannot be added to the project. These files may of unknown file format, the computer does have enough memory, or the file is copyright protected."
Here's the information on said file.

When I try to open a .bmp file using the PS7 file open method with the file dialog window set for all formats, no .bmp files appear in the list of files.
If in Windows Explorer a .bmp file is selected then the right click option of open with PS7 is used PS7 gives an error message.
I've read other posts about saving .bmp files in 8 bit mode but can find nothing in the forum or manual about opening a .bmp file.
I have Adobe CS3. I've had it for two months, and just yesterday, it started freezing should I attempt to open files with the program. Should I right-click on an appropriate file and open it that way, it opens fine. I have attempted reinstalling photoshop,
The same day, I ran an anti-root kit program and removed several things. CS3 continued to work fine for a while afterwards, but then closed itself on me,
I have tried for three days to get my scene files for 3ds Max to open. I have completely removed and reinstalled everything pertinent to 3ds Max, including the scene files. Every time I try to open a file such as battlefield start, all I get is "open file failed".
I have tried everything possible to get the files to open. I installed two different zip files extractors, to make sure that the files were extracting correctly. 7Zip says the files are corrupted when I try to extract the, so I reloaded the files but got the same results. I also used Bitzip to extract the files, but nothing happens. Give me the exact procedure I should be following to download and extract these files?
