I have upgraded to Lightroom 5.3. After uploading the software, when I attempt to open the program, I get the message: "The application was unable to open correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. I have not been able to contact Adobe for support.

Please fix the folder permissions or choose a different catalog" I have changed the permissions to read/write for the drive, parent folder and catalog file.

Thinking SP2 would fix it, i tried installing through autocad, but after it says transferring, nothing happens and everything closes and this box comes up. If I go and get the update package and install it manually, i get the same error. This machine is running windows 7 pro x64 and I have already tried a repair, and full uninstall/reinstall.

I am getting an error message saying that the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) click ok to close application. Further research appears that the temp file location is not found for lightroom 3 64bit, and it wants me to find it or reinstall lightroom 3. The problem is that my software is 16hrs away from me and I forgot to register it when I got it for school in July 2010. I am not sure what I can do here, but I need it for school. Can I just download a trial version and until I can get this fixed

It goes through the initial steps, stays at "preparing new searchable data" for a long time, then eventually stops and pops up the error message: "Unable to upgrade catalog. Lightroom encountered problems when trying to update the format of the catalog file and cannot use this catalog in this version of Lightroom". I tried upgrading a smaller catalog that I don't use anymore and it worked fine. how I can get this catalog converted? Its my main catalog with all of my current years' images. For the time being LR 4 is working fine but I'd love to get 5 up and running.

I have a question if
1) enable profile corrections
2) setup is Auto or Custom Or Default
3) the camera is correcr ( canon)
4) Model of the lens is correct EF17-40
5) Profile is shown as EOS-1D Mk 3
the arrows do not show any other camera and Mine is a Canon 50D, How do get the correct Profile to register also unable to update DNG files.
Lightroom 3 cannot open because another application already has it opened. I received this confirmation after sending photo files to my E Book.

Right now I can ask to open the images in Photoshop/ACR or to open a folder on Bridge, but I can't find out how to do that with LR. I just can't bypass the catalog part which is useless to me.

I tried to remove old prefs, old application, other Adobe prefs and finally all Adobe software but Lightroom refuses to start up. I tried to create another user and for the new user the thing is working. I really really hope to find a way to get it running on my old user-account because of a lot of other software, server-connections etc etc. I am working on Mac OS 10.5.8.

The application could not be started correctly (0xc0150002)I searched the internet without any luck, many people have this problem with other programs, but nobody has a solution!
The funny thing is, it worked (2010) then suddenly it stopped working... I uninstalled and reinstalled 2010, didn't work, then I thought lets try the newest version, exactly the same error! Other programs work properly, also other Autodesk programs like Inventor 2008.

Installed the newest Graphic Driver

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm a Sony user and installed the Lightroom 4 trial. It imported the old 3.6 catalog and gave me a nice new Lightroom 4 catalog. So far so good. Everything looked normal.
Now, when I import new .ARW (Sony Raw) pics into LR4, I'm not getting the lens information correctly. I use a tool call 'alphalensinfo' that reads .ARW files and creates .XMP files with the correct lens name. LR3.6 used to import the pics and read the XMP, giving a correct lens name in the LR catalog. LR4 seems to fail at this.
For instance, with my Samyang 8mm, Alphalensinfo would add the exif field to the XMP file saying "Samyang 8mm". LR3.6 then shows "Samyang 8mm" for the lens, after import. LR4 shows "---" for the lens.
Has something changed in the way LR 4 handles Lens EXIF information?
Since I installed LR 5.2 I'm not able to open DNG or RAW files in ACR 8.2. They open directly in PS CC.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince the 4.4 update I am unable to add Lightroom to the "open with" menu. I was able to do this with 4.3. Now I can't right click a .dng or .jpg and open it with Lightroom.
I right click the .dng file and browse to add a new program as the default program. I navigate to lightroom.exe and select it. But it does not get added to the list of programs.
