View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to save/open files in Adobe products using the general Windows format, i.e. where you could copy & paste a folder location into your address bar. I work on multiple projects across a complex network and I have to manually navigate through all the folders each time, and I can't copy & paste a location like I could if I was browsing through Windows normally. Also you can't save favorite locations?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn VideoStudio X4 (SP1), I am trying to import an edited (VSX4) project into the library in order to use parts of it in a different project. This is something I have done successfully before but the last couple of times I have tried I get the message: “Unable to open file. File format mismatch”. (1081:1:3) There is no problem opening up the project in the normal way it is only when I try and import it into the library. I have compared the properties of these files with the successfully imported files and, to me, they look identical. They were all captured from video in the same way,
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me up the wall, I have pro X4 on my laptop and computer, I can't edit on my laptop as it lags, maybe Corel is too big for my laptop I don't know. On my laptop it allows me to import AVI. files, however, when it comes to my PC, it doesn't.It doesn't make sense how I CAN on my laptop but CAN'T on my pc, It did used to work fine on my pc when I had X2, but towards the end it started making the same error message
'Unable to open file [N:GFFILE309.AVI]. File mismatch'
I'm losing my temper, converting the files isn't an option as it makes my HD footage look like crap and pixilised, it also takes forever. I am at a dead end, I have installed the Corel Videostudio pro x4 codec and that hasn't worked at all.
I have a psd file that apparently has an unsupported color scheme (not rgb or hex) for WD7. How can I open and work with this file? Its 3MB and I want to create a smaller web friendly image that fits my site header area.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCircumstance: Using VSPX3, how to combine multiple VSP files in a single movie using "insert media file into timeline" command on File menu?
Each VSP file represents different segments of movie. Each VSP file has items on Overlay track, title track, Music track, as well as transitions.
Each VSP file can be loaded using "Open Project" command under File menu.
Problem: VSPX3 displays error message "Unable to open file" "file format mismatch" [16803:1:2]
I can't see a way to search for this issue that seems faster then looking manually. X4 will open X3 jpg's, but not X3 TIF's. X4 will open the older PSP files, but X3 TIF's show up as black rectangles in X4 workspace and won't open. I've uninstalled X3 already, but do not consider re-installing it as a solution. Previous versions of PSP have been backward compatible for me. If I open a RAW file, edit it and save as a TIF, it will open.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to Videostudio Pro X5. I am starting a project and would like to upload the videos and photos as my first task.
I have some video footage on a dvd and when I try to upload it I get a message saying:
"unable to open file / file format mismatch"
It has been a while since I have used this program and my brain is slowly trying to remember how it all works
I work in a print shop that prints biggish stuff. I will frequently have files that postscript to close to a GB or more. Working on simple vector art with a few images in CC is not too much of a problem, but I still notice CC is slower than CS 6. The big problem is when I get a few 200mb PDF's, or files with layers of transparent PSD files in them etc, big busy files, then AI CC really bogs down, or frequently crashes altogether. CS 6 is MUCH better. I don't have the font issues, AI CC works fine with simple files. Saving & opening these big files is such a problem, I just save them back to CS 6, but that causes problems too, I do not want to, nor should I have to have 2 versions open at the same time.
I always try to optimize the files as best possible, but it is tough sometimes as they R supplied by the customer, and the time it takes. We save to a Windows Server 2008 R2 box over gigabit network, which I know is not best practice, but no choice with the sheer volume of files. Would B insane to try to keep track & copy them back & forth, and it was never a big issue with CS 6. I am the first victim in our office, but the other 3 Mac Pro's will B switching over to CC this week, and I know the operators will B crying.

How can I have my external editor (PS CS4) open my files in their native NEF format and not as a copied PSD or TIFF?
I do not want an edit copy and wish to have the RAW file open in photoshop. I have had this option in thw past, but since installing LR 3 on a new computer can not configure to just open the NEF file in Photoshop.
After recently installing Corel Draw 12 we discivered we could not open our existing .cdr files. It would make sense if we were trying to open V:12 files with an V:5 but it seems like V:12 should support V;5 .cdr files.

We have an iMac workstation here running Premiere that will not open projects or import clips. Here's the sequence of events that led to this:
1. Premiere was locking up on the splash screen whenever it got to "ImporterQuicktime.bundle". I tried trashing preferences and launching with plug-ins disabled and received the same freeze. Based on forum recommendations I removed "ImporterQuicktime.bundle" and "ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" from the plug-ins folder inside the package. The software launched fine - but none of the Quicktime files in the project were working. So I then took copies of the above 2 files from the iMac next to this one, with the exact same configuration, and pasted them into the plug-ins folder. Since then - launching the software has generated the below errors.
2. Attempting to open any project gives a long error that starts as: The preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not be located.
3. Starting a new project and attempting to drag any Quicktime ProRes media into the project gives the error: File Format not supported.
I have trashed the preferences, re-installed the Pro Apps Quicktime Codecs, de-authorized the computer and re-authorized it, and upgraded Adobe Premiere from 7.0 to 7.2. None of which fixed the issue.
I'm thinking about trying a complete re-install of Premiere next.
Here's the details:

I am looking for a way to force all DWG files created with previous versions of AutoCAD to automatically open "Read Only". For example, using Civil 3D 2011, I open a file that is a 2007 format DWG. I want this file to automatically open read only, and inform the user that it has opened read only.
I'm hoping that this is possible, since opening a 2007 format DWG in a newer AutoCAD already tells you that it's an older format in the command line, and files can already be opened as read only.
I am trying to open a video to edit within Photoshop CS6 x64. I am getting the following message:-

We have a computer that using AutoCAD Architecture 2013 and Acrobat 9 Standard. When printing a large sheet (30"x42") with images in it to a PDF the images do not appear in the newly created PDF. However, if the same file is printed to fit an 11x17 the images display correctly. Any thoughts as to why the large sheet size is not printing properly?
