View 2 RepliesI'm trying to save a file as a back-up so I need to save it to my PC in a file format that is editable in elements 8
View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically I open a jpg file for editing in photoshop elements and then use "save as" to save my edited project as a jpg with a new filename in a local picture folder.
My new file however shows as
File Type: File
It will not open! the file wants me to associate a program to open it with and If I select photoshop to open the file I get a warning dialogue "Cannot open 2.5 3 Core TQ Rubber Flex because it is the wrong type of file"
This is the version of photoshop and my system info
Adobe Photoshop Elements Language Version: 10.0.0 (10.0 (20110831.m.17215))
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
Version: 6.1 Service Pack 1
Here is an example of one of these image files as seen on my pc.
I have to send a company a photo in RGB format - I can convert it from JPEG to RGB, but can not get it to export out of Photoshop Elemement 11 - Also I really am not sure what RGB is, perhaps I don't need to know - I got a file onto my desktop that I believe was saved as RGB, but can not remember how I did it? Also can I share from Photoshop Elements 11 to other sites such as Istock or FB?

View 18 Replies View RelatedI am wanting to create a book, for home printing, to cataloge the life of my new dog. It could therefore eventually contain a large number of pages and I will need to add pages as time goes by.
But I would also want to print pages as they are designed and add them to the binder on a regular basis. Problem is that I have been completely unable to find any option for printing selected pages.
The programme only seems to be capable of printing the whole project, which means that if I have 50 pages all of them will be printed once I hit the Print button. I have searched all of the print options, page set up otions etc. but cannot find anything that allows me to print, say, pages 25-30.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have used Elements 8 for many years to organize my thousands of photos. I know where the catalog file lives on my laptop and it has an extension of .pse8db.
I would now like to use that same catalog file as I move to use Lightroom so that I don't lose all that data.
I believe that now it needs to be .lrcat.
What process do I need to follow in order to upgrade my catalog from Elements 8 to Lightroom?
After using for a few weeks, I have had a few crashes, but this morning, I could not save a photo "Due to program Error" (no codes etc). Closing out that file and losing the edits, but now I cannot open any new file? Again "due to program Error". Working on Christmas cards and gifts. Running Macbook Pro with ample disk space and hard drive availibitly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using PSE 8 for a while, and recently installed the version 11 trial copy to see if it made sense for me to upgrade. Everything seemed to be going OK (PSE 11 converted my PSE 8 catalog OK etc.) until tonight.
A few minutes ago, I tried to open up version 11 and it gave me an error (#6) that said there was a configuration error and I needed to uninstall and reinstall version 11.
So, I uninstalled version 11. That seemed to go fine.
However, before trying to re-install version 11 I decided to play around with version 8 for a while. Only now, every time I double-click on my PSE version 8 shortcuts (one for the main program, one for the organizer), I get a screen asking me to agree to the Adobe software license. I click "accept" but then the license screen just goes away and the program never starts.
I recently had my hard drive begin failing and had a new drive installed. I am trying to find out how to download PSE8 onto my new drive. I also need to reload Lightroom 4, which I have a disk for, but I keep getting an error 1935 when trying to install it. I thought I would just go to the Adobe site and download it too, but besides the same problem I'm having with downloading PSE8, my Adobe info only listed PSE8. My records show I registered Lightroom November 2012.

Windows 7, service pack 1, 64-bit OS.
Before upgrading to PSE 10 for Mac, I would select a photo in iPhoto, click on edit and PSE 8 would open with the selected photo. Now PSE 10 will open but, there is no photo open in PSE 10.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter initial install on my windows 7 64 bit system , all aspects of the software worked for about a month and then I could not open the photo editor. All other aspects of this product opens and works fine . Unfortunately I cannot use the editor or open photos previously modified in the editor. I can open the editor if I log in in safe mode but no other way. I have done 2-3 clean installs as described in previous articles, there are no errors just won't open.
