I need a macro to auto label, with DIMLINEAR, the lines for Rafters with the lenghts. I have the Dimension Styles set up for each roof pitch, but need a macro to auto label the line instead of clicking each line individually. Also, I can't find a ROUNDUP feature in the Dimension Styles. I've got it to round to the nearest 2' but it won't go up....if it's 11' it goes to 10'...I need it to go to 12'.

I have created an "addin" to monitor the "SAVE" & "NEW" button press on Inventor.What is the possibility of AutoDesk including this feature to the next release, or better still, creating a "patch" so that inventor can be upgraded to do it automatically, without the need to write an "addin"?
For Example,
If the user presses the "SAVE" button, AutoDesk Inventor would automatically look to see if a macro called "OnSave" exists. If it does, it "runs" the macro, if it does not exist, it works exactly as Inventor does now. This also would work in a similar way when pressing the "NEW" button.
I would like to create a toolbar command to label northing and easting. I know I can label it using Note Label, but can I make this into a macro with a shortcut button?

I'm trying to create a macro which will attach a custom sketched symbol with a leader to some specific parts in a view. By modifying some sample code I managed to create a macro which will attach the sketched symbol to the currently selected edge (see code below). However I would like to select the view and let the code cycle trough all the parts and check the filename or a custom iProperty. If the filename has a certain pattern or a specific custom iProperty exists it should add the sketched symbol. I don't really see how I should do this, I can get a reference to the selected view and as far as I can see I can use the referencedfiledescripter to open the assembly and cycle through the occurences. However I don't see how I can use this to add the sketched symbol to the occurence in the drawing view.

We're about to roll out LT 2012 now the SP1 is out, normally I would run round and change the default options by hand (template locations, support file paths etc..) Is there any way I can do this in a macro, or some other way, which means I don't have to go to 100 PC's?

Any way to move that code from 2004 to 2012 somewhat easily. If not easily, at least tell me that it is possible without having to rewrite the entire macro.
Have a number of std blocks with a single part number located centrally within a circle similar to std grid line coordinates used on architectural plans.
Is there a simple way to set the block up with its part number fixed centrally so that when the block is inserted at different rotation angles the part number always appears central within the circle and upright.
Forget lisp as only have LT.how to centralise the text within an attribute so its always central when block is rotated.

Okay, so the simple macro i have been working on isnt just for personal use. We will use this macro all day long - but the issue is - my coworkers im sharing the macro with would prefer the macro open when program opens.

Im working with IV2012 and my autodrop feature doesn't work altough the checkbox in the content center is checked on. i can't seem to find a solution on my own.
As far as I know the feature has never worked since I went from IV2011 to IV2012. (alot of troubles in the beginning btw, most of it is gone since service pack installed)
Is there some way we can turn off the auto highlight feature in inventor 2012? I am working in a large assembly and every time I move the cursor over the assembly it is trying to pre highlite parts and assemblys and it really causing alot of delay in my work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.

When shooting on white seamless, I gradually bring up the background lights until I see the raw file just blowing out as I want it, at my shooting aperture. With LR4 and auto-recovery - using this method of 'metering' if you like - I'm adding 2-3 extra stops of light than I would expect before this happens, which then gives me wrap around and flare problems. I'd like to take back control of this, so I'm not guessing where my pure white is any more..

Any of the following questions about "Save Run Macro"?
1] When I protect the macro from viewing (so I can protect my code) "Save Run Macro" does not see the macro.
2] When I save the part for the first time (ipt, iam or idw/dwg) the macro does not run. I always need to run the macro again.

I'm having a minor issue with one of my drawings. The existing drawing was a .hln file that I have opened in AutoCAD 2011 LT.
I tried to draw a line of length 1600mm but when I take a dim it's only 145mm but via properties its 1600mm. The drawing is attached zoomed-in on issue area.
How i'm adding lengths of individual plines...I am running MEP 2013 and lately we've been doing a lot of measuring of plines...The problem i'm having is that we are supposed to add 24' to every length...So if I measure a polyline and it's 10' long, the number i'm supposed to be putting on the drawing would be 34'...Is there a way to create a command that will automatically add what I need to every pline?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm creating an assembly and in this assembly I need to add some foam pieces. These pieces are the exact same part number but can vary in length. How can I make such a part so that i can insert it into an assembly multiple times but have different lengths? I'd rather not make multiple pieces of foam for every single assembly for all of our product lines and am looking for the "one foam to rule them all" option. I would assume this would be an ilogic component I would have to create, but i haven't really made a part like that yet.
