Apr 16, 2012I would like to create a toolbar command to label northing and easting. I know I can label it using Note Label, but can I make this into a macro with a shortcut button?

Apr 4, 2013I am working on a pipeline profile. I have survey information (existing surface) and the horizontal alignment. I have created an existing surface, a pipe alignment, and a surface profile/profile view.
In the profile view, it only showed the existing surface. Now I have taken the design information of the pipeline and drawn in the vertical alignment on the profile view.
I need a surveyor to go out and shoot the top of pipe at high points, low points, and select points in between.
I have placed a pvi for each of these locations.
I need to know how to either spit out a table of these points that will include northings and eastings or create cogo points from the pvis so that i can create a table from the points that will include northings and eastings.

I've got a user who imports points into the survey database and RANDOMLY the points will be shifted on average 27 feet in the northing and 4 feet in the easting. She notices this because she'll check a point and see tht the northing and easting varies from the grid northing and easting (I've attached an image to view) She will then discard the drawing and begin a new one only to import the data and now it imports correctly. The behavior is completely random and it's happening on multiple projects.
All the projects begin with the same template. All the settings (drawing settings and survey settings) have been set to US Survey Foot. It's weird because once the issue is noticed it can be fixed by simply beginning another drawing and re-importing the data, but it has happened on projects where she's already got pre-existing data.

Oct 8, 2013how would i add a static offset to the both the northing and easting to all my points? i need to add 3.02 feet to the northing and 0.56 feet to the easting. elevation is good, but the positions all need to be shifted.

May 31, 2012I need to export to an Excel Spread Sheet (along a 15,000 foot alignment) the Station and Norhing-Easting at every 100' station tic. The only solution I can think of is to place a point at every 100' tic and export the points to a file. I can then put in Excel and edit the point number to reflect the correct station.

My understanding was this was an issue many years ago so that any coordinate values that were extracted for use in a db would be positive values. However, I'm not sure that is an issue any longer for most applications so is there any point to using a coordinate system with those values?

I have a "gps block" that spits out the proper coordinates but i am not sure how to move to a specif point. My layout is set up such that when i use my "gps block" on a known point it spits out the northing and easting, however, when i try to actually type in a specif northing and easting, it is no where near the point i am looking for on the layout.

May 9, 2012I need a macro to auto label, with DIMLINEAR, the lines for Rafters with the lenghts. I have the Dimension Styles set up for each roof pitch, but need a macro to auto label the line instead of clicking each line individually. Also, I can't find a ROUNDUP feature in the Dimension Styles. I've got it to round to the nearest 2' but it won't go up....if it's 11' it goes to 10'...I need it to go to 12'.

Sep 6, 2012C3D 2013. We have profile line labels, some of which get manually edited (for example, change the "<[Tangent grade(FP|P2|RN|AP|GC|UN|SD|OF)]>" to a static number such as 0.29%).
However, if you CTRL+Click and select one of these labels and change the style of that one label, then the manual edits are lost and the label reverts back to the default string.
Is there any way to turn this behavior off?

Any of the following questions about "Save Run Macro"?
1] When I protect the macro from viewing (so I can protect my code) "Save Run Macro" does not see the macro.
2] When I save the part for the first time (ipt, iam or idw/dwg) the macro does not run. I always need to run the macro again.

Nov 5, 2008Has seen this error in the event viewer? We seem to get this with all drawings containing a Pipe Network?
The complete error is: Type=Error Source= AeccDbNetworkRule::runScript Description= Unable to run Macro: ValidateRule.
And this error repeats itself 253 times in this dwg. We do have the "Pipe Catalogs" on a network drive. But it's mapped as R:AutoCAD Civil 3DPipes Catalog and not a unc address. I don't know if this is a problem to worry about or not, but it's still annoying to get this many events in the Panorama.

Oct 7, 2011I would like to use the following macro from the LDD 2004 Civil menu (yes, we are still using 2004!): ^C^C^C^P(cd_mnl)(zz_sdsk '(ad_xsutl 2));LDD. The macro is Zoom to Station from the Cross Section pulldown menu. How to use this in a LISP routine, or an equivalent LISP command? (The user won't be supplying the station number. The station number will be extracted from a selection set of objects with attribute blocks with equivalent station numbers.)
Each cross section has an attribute block associated with it, which lists all the details for that section, including station. The macro must be using that block (listed in a database, perhaps?) to find the station in the dwg.

May 4, 2008I just opened my corridor drawing for the first time in 2009 and was greeted by this error:
Macro file not found at original path specified in subassembly. Updated macro file location to path defined by AECCCONTENT_DIR environment variable.
I'm not familiar with the maco file and the only post I found relating to this said the AECCCONTENT_DIR environment variable was abandoned in 2007.

Feb 4, 2013I keep getting the words "Label Text" being placed at 0,0 every time I insert a profile view into my drawing. Is there a simple way to change something in the settings to either not display this at all or sontrol how/where it is displayed? It is annoying when you do a zoom extents being you now get 2 small dots on screen, 1 being the actualy drawing at the correct utm cooridnates and the other being this piece of text down at 0,0.

Feb 15, 2013I have applied a client's style to the alignment to show PI's. In this case we have 2 alignments close to each other (NB & SB of road). PI's close to each other will then overlap. What I would like to do is apply a style that will have the line and text go exactly in the opposite direction. I am trying to avoid dragging the text as that seems to bring up several more issues. I am looking for whatwhere to change within the style editor to make this happen.
