AutoCAD LT :: Exported WMF Has Black Border

I am trying to export a DWG as a WMF in AutoCAD LT 2008. Every time I export it, whether from model or paper space, a black border is placed around the exported image. Is there any way to get AutoCAD to stop adding this border?
I was opening it in Adobe Illustrator to delete the border and exporting as a WMF from AI. However, this last export was distorting the image i.e. in AutoCAD the distance between points A and B were equal, but in AI the distance between A and B were NOT equal. It is critical that the image is not distorted in any way.
It must be a WMF because it is being used by a piece of software my coworker is coding. The software cannot handle any other vector graphic formats. A vector graphic is necessary because the software has a zoom function.
Finally, I cannot use BetterWMF or anything similiar because I am unable to install software on my work computer.

Open Xara Designer 7 for Windows - demo version.
1) Create a solid block of colour at an integer coordinate (say 0,0).
2) Make it an integer width and height (say 128 x 128)
3) Export
4) Choose '.png' (or '.jpg' - the same effect will manifest)
5) Zoom into the preview and see the weird discoloured edges produced
Alternatively, do the same thing with 'Create Bitmap Copy' and observe the same results.
I'm aware that if you have non-integer sizes/positions it anti-aliases, but this isn't supposed to happen if you rectify these.
[Edit: I think I found out what it was: on my Pro version, I have the option to minimise anti-aliasing, which might well be the issue. Oddly, I can't reproduce the problem at all on my Pro version, but only on my brother's demo version!]

I created a simple tree using one the visor's standard trees (oakWhite).
It appears properly with colors on the screen.
When I convert it to Polygons and export as obj (including mtl files), the obj contains a black tree (see picture below).
How can I make sure to get the colors and texture attachments ?

I am trying to make a png (tried a gif too) by going to File >>> Export for Web.
In the new window I selected following: -
Format: PNG
Color Mode: RGB color (24 bit)
Transparency Box: Checked
In Advanced, Anitialiaced Box : Checked
Embed color profile Box: Unchecked
Interlaced Box: Unchecked
Resolution 72
The image displays in comparison window as transparent but when I save this image and upload it on my website, the background changes to black instead of transparent.
I am using windows 7 Premium (64 bit) and Corel Draw X5.
make it a transparent background image.

Running Designer pro 6.1.2.13287 on Windows 7 Home Premium
I'm probably bumbling around and buggering up the export of png formatted images, but it appears something besides transparency is getting exported as backbround.
I do `Select all' then export to png.The poorly drawn green arrows were added in photoshop to show the area I'm talking about. The xara document which is apparently also getting exported in some way.At least certain other tools see a black background in that area. Not all tools have that problem with the image. For example; photoshop sees only transparency there.
But when I browse the exported *.png files with `Epson print CD', it sees black in that area as illustrated by the screen grab below.The first two images look clean as expected (I'll explain in a moment) but the third (the one that hasn't been cleaned in Photoshop) shows the black background in that area.
The first two were cleaned up in photoshop and now appear clean as expected.So to get a usable image for import into Epson's tool I must:
1) Export as PNG from Xara
2) Open with Photoshop and run thru a procedure where anything outside the outer blue ring in the image is deleted.(Even though PS only sees transparency, if I select everything from the blue ring outward and delete it, saving back to png, then Epson's tool sees transparency there)
3) Import into `Epson Print CD' and print the graphic to a printable DVD.
How can I skip the second step? That is, how can I get a clean export in step one? What is it that some tools are seeing as black background?

I have a 3D drawing of a phone, and there seems to be a reflection or glare covering it and it is really annoying.
The screen portion is supposed to be white, as well as the buttons. The border of the black section is gray, as is the edge of the phone.

I need to get rid of the black border around the artboard. The two images show my drawing lined up with the art board and then inside the artboard. The dark gray is not the artboard.
As you see, the artboard has a black border. I need to get rid of it. It shows up in my project when my color key is green. The black won't go to transparent.
So how-to get rid of the border?
I figured it out. View > Hide Artboards.

I have VS X2 (sp1 & sp2 installed). I am trying to convert videos from an uncompressed AVI format to something of reasonable size.
Unfortunately, the original source of these videos only output at 1080i, so EVERYTHING (including some only NTSC standard def videos) is upscaled to 1080i format.
Problem #1: the up-scaled NTSC 4:3 videos are full top-to-bottom screen, with the expected black-bars on left/right. When I try to write them out in any VS X2 output format, they end up getting an additional black border all around, as if they are being shrunk. The pixelation is horrible (it's not like their quality started out good). What I'd really like to do is just get them converted to standard def with NO borders.
Problem #2: even native HD captures (mostly 1080i) end up with a small black border as if they've been slightly shrunk / scaled.
I have tried the CROP and the PAN/ZOOM filters and cannot find a setting or combination that makes these full-size, no-border.

I used Photoshop CS3 to create a coupe of boxes in black, nothing fancy, just pure black boxes as for background stuff for a web page, and then saved it for Web through photoshop whereby the html and images are created. Opening the html in dreamweaver appears ok until i add a dark background and white "strokes" appear on my boxes drawn using PS.

I have some small rectangular drawing of different sizes (about 3" x 4" or 5" at 200 pixels/inch).
I want to place a simple solid black line border around the edge of the canvas. These drawings have a white background.I do not want white showing past the outside edge of the border.I want the border to show with an even smooth width on all four edges of the drawing.I want to specify the color and the width of this border. Here is what I have unsuccessfully tried: Using the Rectangle or the Line tool on a layer assigned for the border is a hit and mostly miss proposition.
For the Rectangle tool, once the rectangle is placed on this layer, I do not know how the adjust this rectangle. I erase the rectangle and try again. Sometime what I see is okay, but most of the time what I see is irregular and poorly positioned. For the Line tool the lines drawn often show as a stepped line, not a single width line. I do not know how to not have these steps occur, and I of course do not want curved lines. Can you instruct me about how I can create a simple solid black line border around the edge of the canvas?

I am creating a peice of artwork in illustrator. I have cut out the icecream image in photoshop and placed it in illustrator as a psd file. It looks fine in illustrator, looks like it should do. The problem occurs when I export to pdf, a black border around the ice cream image appears. However when I print the black border does not display. So the issue with the black border only appears on the pdf. Check out the attachment beow for example of what I mean.

I'm printing a letter size document from illustrator at 50% size. All pages have a white background so I would like to have the document print with a black rule/ border around it so I can tell what it will look like. Is there a way to do this without manually putting a rule around all 25 existing artboards? Or is there a way to do this in the Acrobat pdf I'm outputting from this doc?(CS5)

I have a drawing that has a white background.
I would like to add more to the white background to make it bigger without having to stretch it and distort the image.
I want to place a circle shaped outline border around the original image with a set border thickness and color and be able to crop/remove the portion of the image beyond the outline, changing it from a square/rectangle image to a circular image.
If I am not able to change the drawing to have a round outer border from square, how can I make the outer parts past the newly created circular outline transparent?

Using Acad LT 2014, Win8. Using stb plot style. I also tried printing from my Win7 laptop, same result. Does not appear to be a Windows8 issue.
I am having something odd happening, I think it is new with 2014.
I noticed that my lines are not actually printing as black, but rather a very dark brown or almost black.
I have a stb style (Bk 1.00), Color = black, screening 100, and for some reason it's not really printing full black.
One layer (A-Elev-Maj) is set for color 132, but the plot style is Bk 1.00. It prints on my Canon Pixma and on pdf as very dark brown.
I have another layer (A-Fill-Bk) set to color 0,0,0, and also plot style Bk 1.00, and it prints dead black.
I tried making the A-Elev-Maj layer 0,0,0 and it still prints an "almost" black.
I checked in the stb file, it is really set to black. I tried 250, as well as 0,0,0 and go the same result.
Attached pdf. You can look at the fence railing or the triangle chimney cap to see the comparison of the A-Fill-Bk which is printing actual black and surronding lines which are "almost" black. Zoom in and you can see it.

When I export a section of a drawing using a viewport in paper space and the export pdf function, the text doesn't appear in the PDF. I've noticed some other layers didn't appear, but that was because they weren't set to print. The text layer is set to print, but it doesn't.

I recently started using AutoCAD. I drew two floor plans for an assignment I have. Now i'm trying to export the drawing into PDF (with scale set to 1:100) so I can export it into indesign and photoshop, however when I export it a small part of the drawing is cut off. I'm not sure how to describe it, but if you look at the included files you can see what i'm talking about.

I have this .sdf-file with 5 patches of forest. When i try to export this file to a .shp-file only 3 of the 5 polygons are exported. For the export i used the bulk copy command. why only 3 polygons are exported?
I have included a .dwg with polylines of the 5 patches. The .sdf file could not be attached.

Our GIS department is looking fo an easy way to import a CAD drawing into ArcMap without having to fool around with different scales and what not.
Currently we draft with the units set at "unitless", does this need to be change? Is there other settings that need to be set up to make the export/import easier?

I'm trying to export a drawing to PDF. It works fine except the background photo, an xrefed TIFF file, doesn't appear.
I searched a bit and found a thread that mentioned going into printer/plotter properties, graphics, raster images, and pulling the two upper sliders left a bit. This didn't change anything for me.
