I'm trying to export a drawing to PDF. It works fine except the background photo, an xrefed TIFF file, doesn't appear.
I searched a bit and found a thread that mentioned going into printer/plotter properties, graphics, raster images, and pulling the two upper sliders left a bit. This didn't change anything for me.
When I export an image from the Develop Module, I'm having a problem with it being 1.5 to 2 stops darker than the original.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have created a video on After Effects. The original duration was 1:02 (as long as the video), but the client requested to add one more layer so I added at the end.
At this part the music stops and you just see the text layer.
I previewed it on After Effects and everything was looking perfect.
I opened the 'Adobe Media Encoder' in order to render the composition. The exported file though stops when the music stops! @1:02!
I have tried to figure out if there was a problem with the settings, but I wasn't able to find anything.
One of my wedding clients has just told me that *some* (about 1-2%) of the small JPEGs from her wedding don't contain any photo - they're just white - although the thumbnail displayed in exporer is fine.
To produce the small jpegs, I import the large JPEGs into a LR catalog and export them at a different size. (don't ask why - I have a good reason for doing this).

How can I find out what type of sharpening, if any, was used when a photo was exported from Lightroom 4? I have a photo with a watermark that is slightly different from the original but I am not sure what type of sharpening was used when the photo was exported.

Although preview of photos to be imported is shown I only get the message that the import could not be carried out (1) and the option to save the data as a :txt file. This was with Lightroom 4. It started first with being unabel to import directly from the camera, then I swithched to inserting the SD card directly into the laptop. This worked only after first downloading to the desktop. Later this didn't work either. I thought the program had become defect. Preview still worked and export is fine. I therefore updated to Lightroom 5 in the hope that this would solve the problem. However everything remains the same. Import still doesn't work with photos of any format. e.g. jpg or RAW.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have LR 3.6 and have created a catalog of pictures from a ski trip I took last year. All of these pictures and the LR catalog are in one folder on my hard drive. After sorting, deleting and retouching quite a few pictures I now notice that one picture is missing from the library. If I open the folder in Explorer (Win 7) I can see the picture, and Windows Picture & Fax Viewer will open/display this picture so it appears the file itself is fine.
However, I cannot get this picture into the library for some reason. When I choose File>Import Photos this one picture doesn't show up in the list of photos. It's as if Lightroom can't see this picture for some reason.
Oh, and I don't know if it matters, but there is a movie clip with the same filename but a different extension (obviously) that does show up in the library and the import dialogue. The picture filename is DSC_0001.jpg, the movie filename is DSC_0001.mov.

I've used lightroom for a few weeks. I was playing around with the Navigation bar settings. Now my zoom won't work.
1. When I move the cursor near a corner or edge of the photo, the cursor appears as a magnifying glass, and the zoom works just fine.
2. When the cursor is anywhere else on the photo, then the cursor appears as an arrow symbol. And when I click once or twice on the photo in order to zoom, the photo being displayed just switches to another other photo a few behind or forward in the sequence.
I used to be able to click or double click anywhere on the photo being displayed, and I could zoom in on that spot. I wish lightroom were working as it was.
I have recently downloaded Photoshop CS6 on my mac, and when I download a photo, the minature photo doesn't show up in the box with the "Layers" on the right hand side.... And because of this I cant change between two different layers, for example if I am changing the background.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter looking at reviews, I took the big step and bought the download version of Photo Pro X3, which got me a 2nd download file called Photo Essentials 4. Installed X3 first, then PE4. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled 'till I'm blue in the face. X3 looks like a good product, at least with the little I've done so far. But . . .
When I start Photo Essentials, which opens as Photo Project Creator, I get nowhere. Step one: selecting what you want to create works fine. However, on the screen where photo selection should be made, I only get the Desktop and My Computer icons, and My computer won't expand.
After 2 days of frustration, I decided to install ONLY Photo Essentials 4 on my wife's PC to see what happened. It opened with a screen that said Photo Essentials 4 at the top, and something that would allow me to paint over the top of a picture. Doesn't even resemble what opens on my PC.
Both PC's are running Windows XP Media Ed. I've noticed apparently similar problem with Windows 7, but is this really just the norm? I tried the cure I found elsewhere in this forum, by shutting down certain processes, and deleting everything within Digital Studio, but it didn't change anything.

my pc is HP windows 7 Home premium 64bit and my pc info is shown in photo down.
I have Lightroom 4 and the plug-in LR2/Mogrify; which I purchased. I am trying to send my images at 300 dpi to a photo lab to produce 4x6 prints with a border at the bottom that is 10% of the short side, and the other 3 borders are 2% of the short side. I then add text for a size 25 pixel font. I am happy with this look when I export to the file folder on the desktop. When I upload to the photo lab, their software wants to resize my prints; where I loose my border or part of the image or the larger border with the words cut-off. I know I have to do something with the canvas, but I don’t understand what to do to get a fixed image size for a 4x6 print with borders and text. I need to know what the numbers are to imput in the Mogrify "background canvas" and how many KB to "compress to file size".
I have the "image sizing" at 6" longest edge, 300 dpi for resolution
I have the canvas at 1280 x 1920
The compression size at 300kb
With this I am losing the top border and the other borders now look wierd.
Doesn't Photoshop Elements 11 support a photo tray option or is it just the main tray on your printer? My printer has a photo tray that I always used in previous Elements versions. Elements 11 doesn't show a photo tray option in printing, what gives???
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Library mode, the Navigator does what I'm used to from previous versions of Lightroom -- it shows a preview of the currently selected photo. However, when I go into "Develop" mode, the Navigator chooses another photo from the collection I'm working on (always the same one, it seems) and shows that one. This is frustrating, because I like to use the Navigator in Develop mode to see previews of an edit I'm working on. It's also just nonsensical that it shows a different photo.

I also have the unmentionable CC program and it half works by dragging my finger from outside the document then dragging into the doc - which is totally unworkable.
I've read Sony, Toshiba and Asus touch computers aren't compatible with that "other" paint package and Corel. What's the workaround? This is just a shame that no touch screen computers work with them.
Are there any touch screen computersout there that working with drawing packages? Or at least Corel?
Trying to edit and save this file fails silently, because Photo-PAINT does get confused by a file name like this: "filename.morename.extension". Nothing gets saved.
The actual file name taken from my example file is: "Flag_of_Germany.svg.png".

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to export a DWG as a WMF in AutoCAD LT 2008. Every time I export it, whether from model or paper space, a black border is placed around the exported image. Is there any way to get AutoCAD to stop adding this border?
I was opening it in Adobe Illustrator to delete the border and exporting as a WMF from AI. However, this last export was distorting the image i.e. in AutoCAD the distance between points A and B were equal, but in AI the distance between A and B were NOT equal. It is critical that the image is not distorted in any way.
It must be a WMF because it is being used by a piece of software my coworker is coding. The software cannot handle any other vector graphic formats. A vector graphic is necessary because the software has a zoom function.
Finally, I cannot use BetterWMF or anything similiar because I am unable to install software on my work computer.
I recently started using AutoCAD. I drew two floor plans for an assignment I have. Now i'm trying to export the drawing into PDF (with scale set to 1:100) so I can export it into indesign and photoshop, however when I export it a small part of the drawing is cut off. I'm not sure how to describe it, but if you look at the included files you can see what i'm talking about.

I have this .sdf-file with 5 patches of forest. When i try to export this file to a .shp-file only 3 of the 5 polygons are exported. For the export i used the bulk copy command. why only 3 polygons are exported?

Our GIS department is looking fo an easy way to import a CAD drawing into ArcMap without having to fool around with different scales and what not.
Currently we draft with the units set at "unitless", does this need to be change? Is there other settings that need to be set up to make the export/import easier?
Any export issue with Revit, where the leaders in the Revit model are exploded when the model is exported to AutoCAD. If so is there a setting or a procedure in Revit that fixes this other then redrawing the leaders in AutoCAD?

It's like in Illustrator when you specify whther the line is on the inside or outside of the curve, but I don't know how to control this in Inventor. I've tried changing the line thickness and all that but I've not had any success.

[B]Wall layer does not appear in layout when exported to pdf. Also the colors of other lines print in colors different than are assigned to the layers. Everything exports great if I just export to the pdf in model space.
