Freshly started on an Inventor 2011 student version, I closed a window which showed the elements of a piece in a hierarchic manner (axis, planes, extrusions, holes,... and sublying scetches). How it can be opened again?
Ok I am struggling with this again. Some how when my assembly was made I had several work planes visable on several subassemblies. No big deal, I will just go to the subassemblies, turn them off and save them and all will be fixed right? Wrong, the assembly still opens with the work planes showing. So I expand the subassemblies and turn the visability off in the top level assembly. Now when I attempt to save the assembly I am told that the master view is locked and I need to create a new view. But I don't ever want all the work planes on and I don't want to create a new view because that leads to not being able to save a linked assembly or drawing if the wrong thing is open somewhere.
How do I unlock the master view to be able to save it with the planes turned off?
I'm using AutoCAD Architecture 2012 for interior design. I need to rotate/move some materials, I know how to do it, but after mapping it, when I need to make any drawing modification, the mapped material resets to their default, and not ionly the modificated solid, but everything that I have mapped.
How do I save the mapping coordinates, to avoid the need to map everything everytime?
I created multiple base views and projected views on drawing (autocad 2014). suddenly when I create base view it doesn't show anything, jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates (it is fixed can't be changed), scale can't be changed. It shows it is drawing view in properties, however when I want to edit (click edit then select the view , it won't recognize it is view). I created many views without problem, now all base views jumps to 0,0,0 coordinates....
URL....I am using PSE 12 as a photo editor for Aperture 3.5.1 and the photo is duplicated (as a tiff) in Aperture and PSE editor opens with the image. When I close the file and say to save the file it brings up the save as window.
I tell PSE 12 to "on first save -- save over current file" it now brings up the "save as" window and won't save over the file (changes the file type from .tiff to .tif)
In the Picture u see a spline (with and witouht render-mesh). I want to animate the deformation of the Spline/Vertices, without assigning each vertex to a keyframe.
First i thought i can do this via the Morpher-Modificator, but the animation happening there was not the one i was looking for.
Is there a chance to rig/save the Vertex-Coordinates to a Manipulator. So i can easily go from Shape1 over Shape2 to Shape3?
I am using AutoCAD 2008. When I want to "Save a drawing as" a different drawing, I used to be able to go to File - Save As, and a window would pop up, etc. Easy. Well, apparently one of my settings has been changed, because now when I go to File - Save As, AutoCAD wants me to use the command bar to save, which is much more complicated than the window. how to get the Save As window back?
I am using AutoCAD Architecture 2011. I've inserted 3 windows in an exterior wall. They all can be seen in Plan (top) view. I've gone back and changed the height of the windows. Now when I look in Plan (top) view, the windows I've changed the dimensions on are no longer visible.how to make these windows visible again in plan (top) view?
Note: These re-sized windows can be seen in any other perspective except Plan (top) view.
we need to be able to collect (save to a list) a series of x,y coordinates as each object in an AI file is selected. Can this be done by creating a script of some kind that runs concurrently with Illustrator? Is this something that can be done via Action Scripts?
i am trying to translate a Point coordinates from Paperspce to world coordinates in model space. The code i used in Land2006 worked OK but now in Civil3d 2012 it doesn't!
Private Sub GetPlais_Click() Dim tmpnt1 As Variant, tmpnt2 As Variant, tmpPnt1 As Variant Dim lole(0 To 2) As Double, upri(0 To 2) As Double Dim returnobj As AcadObject

I'm a GIS analyst trying to learn Cad. I'd like to place a single point in autocad model space at a specific Northing/Easting position. After reading several forum threads I don't think CAD allows me to change the coordinate system of model space from map coords to northing easting coords, as we can in GIS.
I'm attaching data to objects (attached data) and I'm unable to get the table option to open in a new window. I tried Field and the value is already set to 1. I'm using Map 3D 2012 .
It used to be with previous releases of AutoCAD that when I opened the application it restored the window size and position to how it was when I last used it, but with 2013 and now 2014 I find this is not the case.
Basically, I most of the time am happier not having the application fill the full width of the screen, so I have the left side pulled in a certain amount, but not only do I have to pull it in each time, but there is also a small gap at the top, bottom an right side that I have to close up, which is irritating.
All of the sudden, when I go to the pull down menu and click "Save As", instead of the window opening where I can physically choose where I want to save or save over, I get the file directory in the command line. I even typed in the folder directory and it still doesn't save it there. Why the sudden change?
I have a 3D part that produced from an assembly document. (pic.1). How can I take the coordinates of the curve that is designed on the right surface (pic.2) in a .txt or better .xls file ?
For almost a decade I'm used to AutoCAD standard 3D coordinates display: X to right, Y away and Z straight up. For some reason Inventor is configured differently: X to right, Y straight up and Z toward you.
Open two images that are large enough to not fit on your monitor at 100% view.
Maximize both windows. (Do not use F to change to Fullscreen, just maximize the windows.)
Set both to 100% (CTRL-ALT-0)
Use the hand tool to move to another position in the first image. Make sure that Scroll All Windows is NOT turned on.
Switch to the second image. At this point you can use the hand tool to move around, or not. It doesn't seem to affect the outcome.
Switch back to the first image. Notice that it is now not viewing the same portion of the image as you set it to before you switched. I would expect the view to remain the same, there is no reason for Photoshop to reposition the image in the window just because I switched to a different document.
Note that if I perform the same steps, but in either of the two Fullscreen modes, the view position remains as I left it.
if I run this test in Fullscreen mode and then switch back to Maximized, sometimes the windows will behave as they did in Fullscreen mode (i.e. not repositioning), but sometimes they go back to the odd behavior.
I'm a relatively new user to Revit (almost a year). My issue is that all of a sudden my view control bar is located so far to the left in the view window, the project browser almost covers it. I know that I can move the project browser window so that isn't all that critical. My concern is that when I want to look at a schedule it also is so far to the left of the screen I have to move the other windows to see it.
