Is there any way to open a new window of your model that is not inside the main window of inventor?
I have two monitors and would like to be able to have another window / view open on the other monitor.
As a new user I really prefer the single window mode but have a real problem in that every time I open a filter the window/box that open opens up underneath the single window and I cant see it without minimising the main gimp window. I've played with the preferences windows management options and seem to have all the file options curves etc on top now (these were opening under the single window at one point) but nothing I do seems to want to make the filter boxes open where I can see them - It's making GIMP quite unpleasant to use.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am playing with a design in simulation where the balance is effected by gravity. I have a part at a set angle to start off so a constraint is place and set to this angle,then in simulation I suppress the angle prior to starting the simulation to see what happens. Then I unsuppress the angle then edit it to adjust the simulation to a new angle I then resupress the angle to free it up and run the simulation again.
This can go on a few times until the angle is found in the simulation.The problem I have is it takes ages to do this. Basically it seems in simulation the tree is always collapsed and I want it expanded, how ever after each change the tree collapses?
Is there a way to have the tree always expanded so I can quickly find and adjust my constraint? Or even better is there a way to pull the constraint into the main edit window for direct editing?
It would be good if a small bow / window could be opened with the ability to add a setting/constraignt that needs constant updating.
How to switch focus to AutoCAD document window from my form of C# .NET plug-in.
After user pressed the button, I invite him to input a point, but my form still on top.
And it is nessesary to press minimize button, next to set a Focus on Autocad window, then to pick a point.
It is not handy enough.
I did not find a property to set a focus in class of Application.MainWindow.
I am using Photoshop CS4 on a 32bit vista Q6600. When I installed CS4, I had a graphics card based on a 8600GS. Photoshop run fine, even in openGL.
Not I upgraded the graphics card to a 9600GT for better performance. CS4 still starts, but when a photo is loaded, the photo appears correctly in the navigator, but the main window where the photo usually appeared remains grey, as the background. When moving around this window, the photo appear, but as soon as I release the mouse button, the window turn grey again...
When I deactivate openGL in CS4, everything seems to work.
I am having the latest NVidia drivers installed 178.24 (with both graphics cards).
I tried to reinstall the driver, no change.
I tried to reinstall CS4, no change.
getting CS4 work in openGL with this 9600GT?
I can open Photoshop just fine, all the buttons work. I can see everything that I'm doing in the layer preview thumbnail, but all I see on the main design screen is the 'transparent' background. The cursor shows up and looks the part of whatever brush I'm using, but nothing happens on the main screen. I haven't even got a chance to use this version
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if Gimp developers are able to assist, but running Gimp inUnity seems to be a bit problematic at times. Because of the global menu,focus on the correct toolbox / area is needed. Furthermore, Unity / Gimpseems to apply the focusing a bit unintelligently. For example, if I moveto another workspace and return to the Gimp workspace, the focus is nolonger on the main window, but rather on the toolbox.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn X4 I could set the pallettes I wanted (layers and History) to a docked position on the RHS. With X6 the pallettes cover the RH part of the window and the image, with the opened image centred on the whole screen so that the RH part is cut off. It can't be centred within the area visible when the pallettes are open. This gives a smaller visible image if the whole image is in view. This is a serious issue, which X4 handled ok ! I've tried all the options but cannot get X6 to behave like x4
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently started using Maya on Mac OSX, after having always used it on Linux, and I'm really baffled by the child windows behavior (think Hypershade, Graph Editor, Script Editor, etc...)
The shortcut Cmd+~ does switch focus between the windows, but the child windows always stay on top of the main one. That means that if I open one of these, but need to work in the main maya window, I need to click on the minimize button or double-click the title bar (because Cmd+M doesn't work on these!!!), then need to click in the dock to recall them...
Surely I must have missed something, didn't I? Is there a way to ensure the child windows are hidden by the main window when I switch focus using Cmd+~? On Linux I remember we had a way to set the environment variable MAYA_SET_PARENT_HINT to change this. For sure it's possible under OSX, since that's how firefox / safari and other applications work (switching focus between the different child windows correctly manage which one are in the foreground / background)
I have just installed Elements 12. I went to open some jpeg images. They appear in the Photo Bin but can't be made to appear in the main window. The Layer Panel shows the background copy of the images.
View 3 Replies View Relatedphotoshop CS2 stoped displaying the red channel correctly on all images. The red channel displays very muted color.
After deleting all preferences of CS2, cleaning out the Windows registry, and upgrading to CS3 the problem still remains.
In CS3 however, the color shift goes away if I drag the image outside of Photoshop's main window.

Photoshop states that both of the large images are solid R:255 G:0 B:0. However, after print screening the images and pasting them back into Photoshop, it shows that the one on the left is actually R:201 G:88 B:34.
The same thing happens for green and blue as well, though the difference is much less dramatic.
I don't remember changing any settings and my laptop (Win XP, CS2) does not have this problem when loading the same images.
My computer is running VISTA 32bit with 3GB of ram. The graphics card is a NVIDIA 6800.
I just now installed LR5, converting my LR3 catalog to LR5 catalog. Everything seemed to go fine. I picked one photo and converted to the 2012 process. The new sliders appeared.
The problem: Any changes I make are seen only in the Navigator window, not the main window. I figured there had to be a simple fix, but I've scoured the web and can find no one having similar problems.
I modified a Window Family file by adding a Window inset parameter. When I inserted the window into a wall, otherwise the window worked fine, but when I changed the window's Window Inset value, the frame depth changed instead of the frame's location. The frame was originally made by Sweep tool, but now when I made it by Extrusion tool, the window works fine. Anyway, for future purposes, I would like to know how to be able to use the Window Inset parameter with a frame made by Sweep tool. How do I lock the depth of the frame sweep?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe main develop module controls have disappeared from the develop window. How do I recover them? I'm working with Lightroom 5.3. The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just installed my newly purchased PSC5 extended software. When I try to use the ACR it will load and I can use it but when I try to open, save or cancel my image I cannot. This is because the ACR window is too 'long' for my Sony desktop window and the buttons I am trying to access are in the 'shadow' of the desktop window. When I try to resize the ACR window to access the buttons it will let me adjust it on the vertical window edges but not on the horizontal window edges. I have to reboot the laptop to do anything at all.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSometimes, when I have two or more drawings open in the same instance of AutoCAD, another tab opens up on the Windows Taskbar. Here's the scenerio; I have two drawings open. On the task bar, Autocad's icon shows two drawings open. Somewhere while drawing, AutoCAD will start bogging down, especially when switching drawings. On the Window's Taskbar, it will now show three drawings open. Two of which will be the same drawing. There will only be two drawings open. The drawing which is currently on top for editing will be the one that shows up twice. If I change to the other drawing, it takes a really long time to swap. Sometimes, it will sit there for a minute and then swap back to the other first drawing on it's own. I try going back to the second drawing again, and the same thing happens again. The only way to stop this from happening is to completely shut down AutoCAD and restart it. I think it has something to do with the ribbon. And I also notice it more often after doing a CopyBase, but not always.

How do I get it so the layers, paths, and channels are all in one window/box?
I made a complex sketch, and want to extrude.When i want to select the whole sketch, i position the mouse on the upper left of the screen and drag down and right, but no window is created.
And i cannot add segments to the selection, even with pressing SHIFT, because immediately after the first is selected, it is extruded.you see on the picture i attached that some segments (in red) are connected. how can i connect all the sketch together, so when i will select it everything is selected.
Is there a way to expand the constraint window so that I can see my entire parameter formula? In the image below, my equation is cut off in the "offset" window. Or am I supposed to be inputting the parameters in some other manner?

I am trying to open/checkout files from windows explorer and vault but they are being opened in a new inventor window instead of the same client that I had running beforehand. This problem just started today and I have not made any updates or changes.
I made a prompted entry, for example, in a sketched symbol,again, for example.
Now i edit the text and want to write a static text, not a prompted entry and none from that list, but i cannot get the empty, white, window, like in the picture, and like when i start a new text.
I am forced to choose only from the list.
Im doing some pictures for a broschure.
There are several products to render out and I like each product to be viewed in same position.
When i rotated the product in a view i like can I save the position coordinates and set them later in another product?
get the same view position all the time?
The explorer Windows when selecting file from the context menu to bring up the iProperties. Properties window creates a file C:Program FilesAutodeskInventor 2013BinDTCPexe.exe?

I have a Visual Basic.NET add-in that displays a dialog in Inventor. The code in this dialog opens some parts in the background. This has always worked fine, but now I'm working with Vault and when the files are not checked out Inventor displays a small window and asks the question if you want to check out the file. The problem is that this small windows stays behind my add-in dialog. Is it possible to show the check out windows on top of my add-in dialog? I tried form.show and form.showdialog, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.
