View 4 Repliesis there any way to control which areas of my part or assembly that I want to use the View Break on? Currently I'm not aware of any options. It wants to break through the entire assembly or part view.
Basically I have a coworker who designs his electrical harnesses in Inventor. Some of the wiring branches off the main harness are longer than others and he would like to break only that specific branch of wiring, not the entire horizontal or vertical area of the view.

I'm using Autocad 2011 and When I'm working in a viewport in paper space, I isolate a layer, work on it, then unisolate it, CAD will automatically turn off (with the lightbulb) all the other layers that I'm not using in that current viewport. This means that every time I'm done editing a certain viewport, I have to go back to my model space, and turn back on all the rest of the layers in my drawing (with the lightbulb) so I can work in a different viewport with different layers. Is this just a bug in my version? or is there some way to stop this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to isolate an item in a list for a filter? I'm setting a filter for SSGET and know that I can use the dotted pairs and I know I can use logical comparisions but what I really want to do is filter a single varialbe in the DXF group 10. For example, I'd like to only get entities with a specific Z value in DXF 10. Or even better to filter for a specified range of Y value or X value in DXF 10. If I could write something like (cons 10 (list * * 8.0)) where the asterisks were wild cards, that would do it but I'm not aware of such a wildcard. Is there any way to isolate a portion of DXF 10 in the filter?

View 1 Replies View RelatedEarlier this week I mentioned on Google+ that I discovered something about gimp that was pretty huge, something that would change how I edit photos forever.
Since then, I've been determined to figre out how to boil this small bit of information, and show you just how much this can work for layer masking and isolating backgrounds, especially in the studio scene and landscape photography. I finally decided to simply do what I do best - record a gimp video tutorial using the method that I discovered, and share it with everyone.

It's impossible to use isolate selection one after another to get deeper in complex models with many objects? Did I miss something?
I have about 125 RAW files of random objects that were shot against an white background in a homemade light box.
My goal is simple, to isolate the objects against a completely white background whilst still maintaining the shadow of the object (if possible). I have been using Lightroom 4 and a lot of brushes to complete such a task, but I know there is a simpler way to accomplish this with Photoshop. I am using Photoshop CS6.
Here are what I think are the three most tricky pictures:

I found out that if the ceiling elements are in certain model groups, those can't be isolated and won't show up.

I recently purchased photoship 12 after the free trial. I downloaded 4201 photos from a trip oversease. I organized all the photos by date and location. I then created a slide show. This morning I was tring to locate my slide show to view. I found a slide show in projetcs but is was not the photo's I created in my slide show and it had duplicates of same photo's. I am new to this program don't know what went wrong.
I watched a tutorial and then tried to creat a catalog to isolate all the photo's...wrong thing to do. NOW I SEEMED TO HAVE LOST ALL MY PHOTOS AND SLIDE SHOW
QUESTION: How do I get back to my starting point and retrieve all my photo's and slide show? What a pain!!!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Photo Paint 9 to edit photos I took of some watercolors I did. Many of the photos are of a single animal on a white background (similar to the California state flag). When I printed many of these out they had a greenish tint (not a printer problem) so I went to Image--Adjust--Color Balance.... I adjusted the cursor on the Magenta/Green bar to -15 (towards Magenta) and hit ok. The problem is, now when I print, the image is ok but the background which I want to be pure white now has a pinkish (magenta?) tint to it.
Is there any way to isolate the image and get the background pure white again?
If I create a polysphere and make a part of the sphere invisible via isolate select, the hidden faces are still selected if I try to select faces. They are activated as if they were visible. And the invisible faces are selected if I to a click for face selection.

Basically I want to place parts and have them automatically connect to each other based on pre-existing UCSs on the assemblies. I have a 'ucs_in' and a 'ucs_out' on each assembly. I want the inserted component to perform a transformation to make the new occurrence's ucs_in to "mate" to the previous occurrences ucs_out. By mate I mean their center points are at the same location and all axes are pointing in the same direction. I have included screenshots to show what I'm working with and what I am trying to accomplish. I have also attached the project files.
Below is my attempt at the code to do this. My experience with transformations is limited so I may be way off from where I need to be.
Sub UcsMate() Dim doc As AssemblyDocument Set doc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument 'assuming both occurrences are already in the assembly and both have 2 UCS, "ucs_in" and "ucs_out" Dim occ1 As ComponentOccurrence Dim

From a main assembly I am trying to change the visibility of occurence that are in a sub assembly. But everytime I change the visibility using the designviewrepresentation.setvisibilityofoccurrences(), that change the visibility of those occurrences in the other sub-assembly. Of course, if I do it thought the interface that works great. Anyone did something with changing visibility of sub component.
