Mar 16, 2013I have a bunch of points that I am trying to turn into a solid object. I am doing this by using the 3D poly command and then LOFT, UNION and CONVTOSOLID. this has previously worked well, but this time when I use the LOFT command it does not produce a 'closed' surface, but rather a grid like surface which wont convert to a solid. Are there different settings for the LOFT command, and if so, How do I change them to produce a closed surface?

May 15, 2012I press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on
- if I plot to a real device or in PDF
- if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.

Jun 4, 2012I'm creating a VB.Net routine which will run the REVCLOUD command. In my application I prompt the user to select a single polyline using:
EntRslt = acDoc.Editor.GetEntity(EntOpts)
Then later I run the REVCLOUD command using:
acDoc.SendStringToExecute("_revcloud Object Poly No ", False, False, True)
Where Poly is the polyline I selected earlier. Of course, the line above doesn't work since "Poly" is interpreted as a string. But I would like to figure out how to pass my VB.Net selected Polyline into the REVCLOUD command.
How I might do this? The REVCLOUD command will not accept the "Previous" selection set so setting the Implied Selectoin does not work. If my Polyline was the Last object in the database I could use the "Last" option, but it isn't.

AutoCad :: How To Prevent Object Appearing On Top While Using Move Command
Oct 2, 2013Before I upgraded to AutoCAD 2014 (was using 2012) when I used the MOVE command on 3D geometry (while using the Realistic Visualization) I could see one object move into another. Like, moving a cylinder into a box to represent a button, and I would see it slowly sink into the box as I moved it further and further along.
In 2014, the object I am moving will REMAIN ON TOP visually of all other geometry until it is completely inside the other geometry (at which point it disappears completely). It's hard for me to then judge just how much of it is sticking out during the MOVE command. Once I complete the move command, the proper visualization order is then shown.
In other words, if I have a 10 inch cylinder, and I'm trying to move it into a box so only 2 inches sticks out (as a visual guesstimation), currently I would see ALL 10 inches of the cylinder whether part of it is inside the box or not, until I complete the MOVE command.
AutoCad 3D :: PressPull Command - Object Is Raised But Not Filled

When I try to use the command on an object, the object is raised but not filled. It looks sort of like a fence/outline around the border of the object with a grid pattern.

Jun 18, 2013If I select some objects (i.e. pipe, feature line, etc.) and right click to bring up my shortcuts, I click on SOME commands (i.e. object viewer, elevation editor, etc....respectively, the command does not progress....it forces me back to a selection box cursor and I have to reselect the object.
For example, I select a pipe, I then right click, shortcut menu pops up, I select "object viewer", and then my previous slection is not granted and it asked for a new selection (it used to always just proceed with the command), I then have to select the pipe I had previously seleted, and the command proceeds as normal.
not a bid deal, but it slowing down my productivity having to select these items twice. The wierd thing is that it is not like this with all of my right click short cut commands...only a few!?

I'm able to change the macro for the mirror button which works but only when I push the button. Before the cui file I remember everything was done from the acad.pgp or the acad.mnu files but with the new CUI file i can't seem to locate wher to change the actual command and not just the macro for the mirror button.

Jun 22, 2011I'm using Autocad 2011 and When I'm working in a viewport in paper space, I isolate a layer, work on it, then unisolate it, CAD will automatically turn off (with the lightbulb) all the other layers that I'm not using in that current viewport. This means that every time I'm done editing a certain viewport, I have to go back to my model space, and turn back on all the rest of the layers in my drawing (with the lightbulb) so I can work in a different viewport with different layers. Is this just a bug in my version? or is there some way to stop this?

Apr 13, 2013I've been searching for a command that could actually cut lines for purpose. For example, if I'm drawing a 2 line crossed, wish I could cut the 2 lines so they are now 4 segments. On a circle, I could actually draw a line that pass trough the circle on cut it off the way I wish. Does such command exists for autoCAD? Very often, I've many lines at the same time that I wish I could cut with a single one. The problem is that I don't wish to trim 'em and extend (losing time and long process). Sure there is also the div cmd, but this isn't what I'm seeking for.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Crash In Open Command?
Jan 10, 2013I am having a problem with AutoCad 2013 crashing. While running the program when I use the open command dialog box if I re-name a file, create a folder, or copy a file autocad goes unresponsive and crashes immediately afterward. I have installed the service pack and update my video card driver trying to fix the problem. I used to be able to perform everything mentioned above in AutoCad 2010 without any problems. I don't think its my computer causing the problem because everyone else in my office is having the same issue with 2013.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Hatching Using Hplayer Command?
Jun 27, 2013i use the hplayer command which changes the layer when i open the hatch command. i am sure when i closed it in the past it then changes the layer back to my current layer. now it gets stuck on my 'hatch' layer and i have to manually change the layer to 'current'.
is there a reactor or is it part of the command?
