I have an intermittent problem. I can't scientifically reproduce it. I use the Space Pilot to zoom and rotate around in my scene. Typically, it works great.
My problem is this: I have all four viewports visible. No matter what viewport I have selected, the only one that is zooming and rotating is the lower right one. My only work around is that I maximize the viewport I want to work in.
This even happens after I save the file, close the program and reopen it.
I was trying to create Aircraft pilot tube using inventor and got the problem of internal tube designing in the connector section. Please see the attached files.
I am having problem designing the internal part of the end connector section where the internal tube from the probe goes up bends and connects to a tube with end connector via an accumulator. (as shown in the picture attached - Pitot.tube_abnormal.procedures-1_A300-600_Prunep.55)
I have to print PDF file of model And this PDF file should have access to rotate model as we do in inventor. I came across such file few days ago. I tried in inventor it I could not do.
(# Ref attachment of PDF file having access to rotate model)
I made PDF file but that doesn't,t have access to rotate as first one has. ( # ref 2 ND attachment.)
Is there an easy way to rotate my drawing 90 degrees clockwise in model space, but leave it in it's orginal view in paper space. The reason is for drawing elevations - north, south, east, west from construction lines pulled from a plan. I've tried using UCS and was able to rotate, but it won't let me copy objects after doing
I have a site survey that I am having rotation issues with.
In the model space the drawing is rotated so when I draw a vertical line it points up (which is what I am used to). However in the paper space, the drawing is automatically rotated so that north is now pointing up, and if I attempt to draw a normal vertical line as i did in the model space the line now points NE.
How can I rotate the view of the viewport in paper space so that my lines as vertical and horizontal. This would not be such an issue if it was just a plan, but I have drawn sections that just look ridiculous.
how can i rotate a drawing view in model space and paper space? UCS -> new -> 3 point -> and saving the view works, but trying to figure out how to do this with paper space now. My purpose if for pulling construction lines from plans, for elevations. In the past I simply rotated the drawing, but if i had a layer turned off it would mess up their positioning.
I've created a drawing in model space, added text in paper space. When I go to plot the drawing the text is rotated 90 degrees instead of staying oriented the way I added it. There must be some setting that I am missing somewhere!
I was wondering if there was an option to set Inventor to display the full file path for the current file open ? At present I am only seeing a short description of the name of the active file - I wish to see it's full file path similar to what AutoCAD displays.
Cad Manager/Senior Designer Autodesk Inventor Professional 2013 SP2 64-Bit Edition Windows 7 HP Z400, Intel Xeon W3550 3.07GHz 12.0GB RAM, ATI FirePro V4800 (FireGL)
is possible to retrieve the information of the reference in the iam file without open the file in session ? Opening with notepad the iam file, at the end of file, the references is contains in the planar text.
Is possible to retrieve documentation for this request ?
if i need to rename or change anything in the iproperties of ipt, im doing it from the vault.my problem is that, when i change something in iproperties of an ipt thru vault, i have to open the idw to update it.
as most of the iproperties in ipt shows in the idw.
its easy to change the properties in vault. but its deleting its purpose if i have to each idw to make sure i have the updated idw.is there a code where i can open all idw and save the same file and checking to the vault automatically?
And this is a personal project. I want to set up my 2013 Pilot with windows graphic that you can see out of from the inside. Anyways. I cant find exact dimensions to the windows, and it's angled and rounded cornered and I need figuring out a way to make a template I can use for my window design in the future, I will also need to do the rear hatch window as well.
I have autocad civil 3d 2008 in my pc. From last 2 days I got a different problem i.e. when I am selecting open / save command from File menu graphical file select explorer is not opening just message in the command window . Previously I used to select files using graphical file explorer.
I have an Inventor dwg file that I corrected some drawing errors, checked it into the Vault and every time I try to open it,
my system crashes and a Diag Box appears saying that I should sent this info to Autodesk. I have filled it out on four different occasions but have heard anything back. how to get this drawing to open?
I can't open a new idw file. I get this massage when I try to open an idw file : " the template file you are using to create the new document needs to be migrated. please open it and explicitly save it before using it to create any more documents."
Basically I've got a detail specific to my design, I've extruded all of the layers up to their desired levels etc, but now I want to be able to rotate it all so that instead of these layers being orientated vertically, they are orientated horizontally, if that makes sense. I understand that there is something involved with the UCS but I'm not sure how to get this to work. This may be an issue with my computer as I know my laptop graphics card is pretty rubbish and impacts a lot of 3d programs such as Rhino and SketchUp so this could be the issue here
Everytime I want to open idw file only in one folder, it comes with dwg and idwfiles. I have to identify the idw files from many dwg files, sometime I just opened dwg file due to the same name with the idw file. (For project purpose, I need to save idw and dwg file in the same folder).
I hope I can open idw files only as I choose to open iam and ipt only, and remove *.dwg from File of types (*.dwg; *.idw).
In the right upper corner of autosek Invetor 2014 is a button wich says New (NEU = German) if i click there the window gets bright gray and says no response (keine Rückmeldung) ... i started the Laptop several times but it never Works.
When I want to open my inventor files on windows explore or my computer window then i click double on file (ipt, iam, idw) then my files opening in different inventor program windows.
I mean i have a open innetor window and i want to see in single inventor program window when i click double on file. But now always opening new inventor applications. Then i lost time and memory.I have Windows 7 (64 bit) and Autodak inventor 2012.
My Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014 (witch I downloaded as beta) can not now open it's own files, but it opens other models that I did using 2013, attached is the message that shows up
I have an IDW file of my assembly, which is bombing out during opening. II can create pack and go file and post it in your designated folder. File is large.
New installation on a new computer. First was crashing when I adjusted som Applicatin Options. Ran Service Pack 1. That seemed to work. But now I cannot even open up one *.ipt file without it crashing.
I have been trying to export a 2013 Inventor idw file as a 2010 AutoCAD dwg file.
I use to be able to do this without any issues however I am getting the following error message which prevents me from exporting the file.
"Could not open the DWG template file. Please check the path and try again."
I am using 2013 Inventor Pro.
This export feature use to work fine when I used 2012 Inventor Pro. however when i try to do the same from 2012 I get the same error message.
I have checked the default templates file path in the Aplications Option menu and I have tried to set a default in the AutoCAD template file option under the export destination setting under the save Copy As function.
Is there a way I can open an idw file using ilogic? I would like to put the rule into a form, so that I can click a button in the form to open the idw for my assembly.
