I thought that dwfx is for everyone to open & view including people with out IV. I am trying to open this in my home laptop (No iv)

I have general question about DWF or DWFx file. Is there a limit number of files or how many MB can viewer open and work without crashing.
I have very well built PC but I have hard time to view DWF file without crashing.
PC spec
Xeon X5690 (3.47 GHz) 2 processor on board
48 GB of ram
SSD drive
Win 7 64 bit
Quadro FX4800 with driver recomend by Autodesk.
I have DWF file around 30,000 parts and the file size 18 to 25 MB.
I can open with 2013 DWF viewer but soon I turn the model it crash.
I change the setting in DWF viewer to Open GL or Software Open GL and it work but the graphic is not friendly rotating it missing a lot of detail.
My customer demand to use the DWF file to review the design and I don't know how to support them.
I try 3D PDF it is bad too.
We have assembly up to 160,000 parts .

Saved file appears to load aerial image tiles, but after automatic loading of shape files, images no longer visible. I am new user, how do I fix without having to delete and reload image files?

We have a couple of files that were created from Inventor 2013 as dwfx and when we upload them to the cloud they will not display correctly.
They will display correctly in Design Review on my local system.
I was wondering if there was an option to set Inventor to display the full file path for the current file open ? At present I am only seeing a short description of the name of the active file - I wish to see it's full file path similar to what AutoCAD displays.

is possible to retrieve the information of the reference in the iam file without open the file in session ? Opening with notepad the iam file, at the end of file, the references is contains in the planar text.
Is possible to retrieve documentation for this request ?
if i need to rename or change anything in the iproperties of ipt, im doing it from the vault.my problem is that, when i change something in iproperties of an ipt thru vault, i have to open the idw to update it.
as most of the iproperties in ipt shows in the idw.
its easy to change the properties in vault. but its deleting its purpose if i have to each idw to make sure i have the updated idw.is there a code where i can open all idw and save the same file and checking to the vault automatically?
I have created a new property set definition and added two manual property definitions and applied this to all objects. Every object on the drawings has distinct values for these two properties. These property values show correctly on the Extended Data tab of the Properties palette.
I have published to DWFX with AEC property set data set to 'Include'. In the resulting DWFX in Autodesk Design Review I can select each object and see the standard properties but not my special property set data.

I have to identify the idw files from many dwg files, sometime I just opened dwg file due to the same name with the idw file. (For project purpose, I need to save idw and dwg file in the same folder).
I hope I can open idw files only as I choose to open iam and ipt only, and remove *.dwg from File of types (*.dwg; *.idw).
In the right upper corner of autosek Invetor 2014 is a button wich says New (NEU = German) if i click there the window gets bright gray and says no response (keine Rückmeldung) ... i started the Laptop several times but it never Works.

I use to be able to do this without any issues however I am getting the following error message which prevents me from exporting the file.
"Could not open the DWG template file. Please check the path and try again."
I am using 2013 Inventor Pro.
This export feature use to work fine when I used 2012 Inventor Pro. however when i try to do the same from 2012 I get the same error message.
I have checked the default templates file path in the Aplications Option menu and I have tried to set a default in the AutoCAD template file option under the export destination setting under the save Copy As function.
Is there a way I can open an idw file using ilogic? I would like to put the rule into a form, so that I can click a button in the form to open the idw for my assembly.

When I try to do a make components I get this error "Could not open default template file." All the Standard.xxx files are the designated folder and named appropriately. Plus I just used this command earlier today. I did do a "rebuild all" but I'm not 100% sure the problem came directly after that.

When I open a file in Inventor 2013 I get the error message "cannot open XML file" for 20 or more files.(See attachment) This has only been an issue since 2013 was installed. What do I need to do to correct this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble opening a step file. I actually opened it a couple of days ago fine but now when i try it tries to load for a few minutes then just crashes. I have tried other step files and they open fine.
The file is 260MB not sure if it will attach here.

I created a macro for generate a PDF drawing, but when one file has been already created, AND he's already open, the macro don't work.
How to stop the macro automatically and notify that the macro has been stopped because the file is open.

i am trying to open the 3D part file from Parasolid Document to Inventor but it reflected only half of the 3D model.
Attached is thepdf file of how exactly it looks like and the parasolid file also.
Previously We have using Solid Edge. Now We have purchased Inventor.So I want to open Solid edge file directly from open option or Import option. I have checked the various file formats which are available with Import option but there is no such option which will allow me to open the .par(solid edge) file. How to open .par file.
