Is there a quick way e.g. export Registry Key etc to transfer the files and paths specified in Options?

i try to open a saved file in photoshop i get an error message saying "Write to registry failed Options not saved."
it shuts down whenever i hit the OK button.
I have been reading a great deal about all the different options out there for rendering Civil 3D files. I need to not only realistically render static views but also add fly-by and walk throughs. Additionally in the near future I want to be able to add (for example) moving vehicles to static views and fly-bys (sp). It seems that most indications are pointing towards 3DS Max Design 2012. Would this be a correct observation? Aslo, does 3Ds Max Design readily accept native C3D files?

I downloaded a Copy of AutoCAD Recent Documents Manager.exe from the autodesk website and it won't run on any of the computers in our system. I was thinking about writing a LISP routine to delete the filenames with a DST suffix by replacing them with the next filename in the list. My question is If I replace the file with the next one above and the filetime,filepinned and class respectively. When I reach the end of the list can I just use "" for the file,filetime and class and integer 0 for filepinned (it looks like it requires a double).
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo in the transfer maps box dialog when choosing what maps to output, the AO and Custom map option has disappeared from the list. All the other options are still there, normal, displace, etc. I defragmented my disk drive a while back ago but that can't be it, can it?

is it possible to drag and drop processing options (in German: Entwicklungseinstellungen) from one picture to another? The usual way by right clicking on the picture and then selecting copy the justifications and then right clicking on another picture and pasting them is very slow.
It would be fantastic if I could just use the spray tool to quickly transfer the options from one picture to a group of others. But this is only possible with presets I first have to save. But many processing options I don't want to save as a preset, because they are not that important. I just want to have a possibility to quickly play around with the options.

It is possible to export shape files from GIS to CAD, but how within Civil 3D, are shape files imported into a drawing?
When exporting points to a .TXT using PNEZD the elevation goes haywire.
After being exported it reads roughly 69000 in an area where the elevation should be about 5400 to 5800 feet
(very roughtly a factor of 12)
Is there a variable I can change to fix this?

when I export a road file to my TS2 it becomes corrupted (file size 50% of what it should be.
4 months ago there was no problem. The weird thing a is that the other worstation in the office has this issue to.
Here's what I have done to troubleshoot: swapped out both data collectorsexported this rxl file to a virtual instrument on my desktoptalked to cansel and autodesk but the said they haven't seen this problem. I can rule out the following.
trimble/autodesk software, hardware ( to much a coincidence that both work stations have this problem)Data Collectors swapped out - file size of the corrupted rxl were the same on the virtual deskto instrumentcorrupted dwg - exported a road six months ago, now re-exported and the new file is corrupted.
Both machines are identical:
Pentium Zeon
16 gb RAM
Identical software installation
I have PSP X2 on my laptop and it has developed a problem where it will not get through the initialization process. It comes up with the flash screen and after awhile the flash goes away and then nothing it just sits there and if you try to do anything you get a program not responding message and the only way out is to use the ctrl, alt, delete and exit manually. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it but this problem persists no matter what I do including going in and completely deleting everything corel from the hard drive.
how to completely flush the program and all the hidden files and registry entries so I can do a virgin install and start over without whatever glitch it has developed. There is an ini file or something that is staying on my computer and causing this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe produce our own plasma cut sheet metal parts (up to 60 mm thick) for our manufactured machines. We have just installed a new machine that has a 24 station drilling/tapping head as well as the plasma head.
Our existing method automated of exporting the DXF shape files works great but I have a problem with drilled/tapped holes. I have configured the DXF output to put the external profiles on a named layer and done the same for internal profiles.
The problem arises with the DXF output of a drilled/tapped hole also being on the internal profile layer as the plasma machine see's any hole (drilled or not) as a plasma cut hole. I need to to be able to put drilled/tapped holes on a different layer but I don't want to have to do this manually (open DXF in Autocad, select and change drilled/tapped holes to another layer), save DXF file, as 80-90% of the parts we use on a machine are plasma cut 9no manual cutting).
So I'm putting it out there for the developers of Inventor to increase the DXF output layer options so that features (drilled/tapped holes, slots, etc..) can be put on a different layer to the inner and outer profiles.
How to set a default under options for export to PDF? I need to set the Vector resolution so it defaults to 720 DPI instead of 400 DPI.

Is there really no way to export multiple paths, on multiple vector layers, to Illustrator in one go?
When I export an FBX file from 3DS Max it is using the full path to each texture. I would like it to either use a relative path or just export the name of each texture without any path. How can I do this?

It's not very useful in my case. I have an image with several layers and a bunch of paths related to different layers. So I need to export only paths which "belong" to a selected layer, so to speak. Of course, I can edit SVG by hands, but I wonder if some decent tools there exist for this task.

I've reinstalled my OS (WindowsXP SP3) and installed 3ds Max 2012 again. It have run succesful. But it doesn't export license. While trying to export it says "Export Request Failed. The maximum number of exports for this serial number has been reached. You may not export more licenses than you have purchased. Error reference:36" It seems as my old licence is on server.

I've been doing some research on new computers for the office and my boss came to me about potentially switching from Windows OS to Mac OS. In my opinion I'm ok with whatever OS we use but I don't know much about MAC Computers. I have done some research on them and have read of customers using Inventor 2012 on Macs but that’s the extent of it.
1) Are there any issues that you've seen when running Boot Camp or Parallels and which do you think is user friendly.
2) How well are you able to transfer files from a MAC PC to a Windows PC then vise versa? (Taking work home etc.)
3) Have you had any problems transferring your library of information from Vault over to a Mac? (Checking in and out of Vault)
4) Our company use's DXF's made from Flat patterns that we transfer over to a Salvagnini machines that use's windows.
When I upgraded to Autocad (ACA) 2010 I migrated toolbars, etc. from ACA 2009. I am looking at getting a new computer and would like to know if I can just copy one of the CUIX files onto the new system and have everything work just as it does now. Is this possible, and which of the many CUIX files do I copy? Do I need to also copy the MNU, MNR and MNX files?
I’ve searched the CUIX files but can tell from the dates which are the newest.
I would like every new project created to have "Content Center Files" path set to %project%/Content Center
Wher can I set default paths for content center files and design data for new projects?
I'v seen for exporting a path to illustrator, they mention the File>Export>Export Paths to Illustrator option. When I look under "Export", the only options I get are:
Data sets as files...
Render Video...
Zoomify
I can still drag/cut/paste the path into Illustrator, so I haven't been stopped, but why the export option isn't showing up?
I find it absurd that AutoCad C3D doesn't have a vehicle sweep routine built in to the design software. This is as basic to roadway design as super elevation is to horizontal curvature.
Buying third party software such as AutoTurn or Pathplanner R4 seems ridiculous.
I'm trying to add lossless CODECs (e.g., FFV1, Lagarith) to Photoshop (and Premiere and After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder) so that I can generate archival videos with the highest possible lossless compression ratios. I've installed several CODECs, but none of them appear in Photoshop's 'Export Video' options, for example. How do I get these CODECs to appear?
For the record, I'm using CS5.
What happened to the stacking optons n the export dialog when adding the exports back into the catalog? After watching Jared Platt's creativelive course, I started creating my PSD's by exporting them in bulk, adding them back into the catalog and stacking them on top of the original raw files. After updating to LR 4.2 I don't see the option in the export dialog any more.
