I have to transfer my auto cad plans to Photoshop. Im trying to export each layer into eps format and then open in Photoshop. But some layers are not showing up... What should i do?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to convert Store Floor Plans to DXF format for use in JDA software. Problem is, the part number attribute on the fixture (fixture is a block) is visible when you pull the DXF in on the other software. Is there a way to turn off attributes without losing them before I convert the file from AutoCAD? I will be pulling the files back and forth between both software programs.

On p. 350 one reads: "To transfer the layer mask from the Selective Color adjustment layer to the Hue/Saturation layer, Option/Alt-drag the Selective Color adjustment layer mask into the slot of the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer." Is this something that can be done only in CS and CS2?

I have AutoCAD LT 2008 soon to be LT 2012 and I also have AutoCAD 2012.
I would like to know if there is a way that I can set up a Layer Filter and transfer it from one drawing to another.
Ideally we would be able to do this in the LT version not full. If there is some way to do this with Tool Palletes that would be great.
I have created a map using some DTED files and now I need to use it in 3ds max, so I must export it in .fbx format but I'm not able to do this, because Autocad says to me that I must convert the map in 3D object. What I have to do to export the map in .fbx format??

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using MAP3D 2012 and have the following query. Under Task Pane and Display Manager I have added drawing data to a drawing layer. Added Style>Text and selected the Object data I want to have displayed (e.g. drawing number).
Since the drawing is going to be accessed also by users with a simple AutoCAD version I want to copy paste the text from display Manager to a Layer In layer Properties Management.
However, every time I create a new layer and copy paste the text does not appear or carry through.

However, since it will get on a CSS gradient, I need to extract the icons as a transparent PNG file, which of course gets me this in the web browser:
I can't just flatten it with the background, since the background is a gradient AND I need to be able to adjust the image's position in HTML. Also there, are several instances of this situation in the design. The best way to do this is to have a transparent PNG of each icon. But, how can I first get the artwork at least close to the way it appears in Photoshop (in darken mode over red)?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a few MOV format videos that I need to rotate and re-save with PS CS6. I've never tried video editing with Photoshop, and this must be the most basic of basic starts in my next career as a film producer. I assume I just go to Image > Image Rotation as one does with image files? Then when I export the video, and select QuickTime MOV format, the resulting file does not actually have any video in it -- only audio. And despite having no video apparently, the file size is huuuge.
I have QuickTime viewer installed, but do not have a licence for QuickTime full version. Is that it?
Shall I just export to mp4 and be done with it? I would prefer to be consistent... so that I have all MOV files (I won't have to rotate / edit all video files, only some).
I've reinstalled my OS (WindowsXP SP3) and installed 3ds Max 2012 again. It have run succesful. But it doesn't export license. While trying to export it says "Export Request Failed. The maximum number of exports for this serial number has been reached. You may not export more licenses than you have purchased. Error reference:36" It seems as my old licence is on server.

I initially thought to merge B&W and reverse adjustment layers, but read that an adjustment layer may not be the target of a merge. Is the way to accomplish this to fiddle with the B&W adjustment layer sliders somehow?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trialing the DG&P of xara. I am creating embroidery files in another software. I need to import in .emf. Most of my clipart, etc that I use is jpeg or png. I am wanting to take those into a program, create the vector file, and import to the embroidery software so that I can manipulate/simplify how I need to to create the stitch out. So, when I am in xara and I bring the image in, I select all and choose export in the .emf format....I figured that out. But, when I bring it into the other software I have a blank page. So, I figure I am missing something. Is there a quick way to convert the outline I bring in (in png) to vectors so that it can export and be manipulated in the other software in .emf? or do I trace the file in xara as I would in the other software, have a rough sketch, and then export? Where is the best info on what to do? I am pretty good at following tutorials and lessons but before I buy I just want to make sure it does what I am wanting it to do.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am currently using Revit Architecture 2012 and am trying to export a project file in a .fbx format to start using Autodesk Showcase which I just downloaded a free trial for. For whatever reason, Revit won't let me export any file in a .fbx format. Instead of being able to click on that as an option, it's greyed out. Is there an update I need to download or an fbx plug-in I need to get to utilize the fbx exporting function??
PS: I've put myself in the 3D view which I know can be an issue of why the fbx export function is greyed out.
