The last few days I've had issues opening C3D 2014. I'll start the software, the splash screen/window will appear and in the the lower left hand corner of it, you'll see C3D loading files. But when it gets to "Opening drawing....". Basically, opening my custom dwt. The software stalls. Won't open. Now I can go on any other computer in my office and C3D opens no problem using the same dwt.
View 5 RepliesI have a corridor design and the corridor daylights very close to the pavement. I need to have rock from the EOP out beyond the daylight point to a 30' offset from the alignment. I need it to follow the EG and show a depth of 2' throughout.
I had to draw the rock shapes manually. But I'd like to figure out how to do it using the corridor if possible.
Please see the attached image. Everything beyond the daylight point was traced on top of the EG and then offset 2' to get the bottom.
I am writing a lisp routine to automate creation of views. In the routine I am setting ucs to match user-supplied points, setting my view orthagonal to the temporary ucs, then setting ucs back to world.
The first object works. The routine creates the ucs, creates the view, asks for the next object to start anew, and then stops because AutoCAD is asking if I want to "Save current UCS with named views?" I thought I would just make a "Temporary" ucs, but if I do that, AutoCAD wants to know if I want to overwrite "Temporary" because I created that ucs name the first time through.
Any way to suppress either of these prompts?
Using 2014AutoCAD. Sometimes when zooming in using the mouse wheel by 1 click it the view will go from being zoomed out to zooming past the object in my drawing. this is happening in different drawings.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSeem like when I cut and paste objects from one file to another, particularly objects with different annotative scale, my lexisting ayers would get corrupted. Standard layer names will be appended with "@_96" at the end (i.e. "symbols" to "symbols@_96"l . The 96 would represent the annotative scale factor in the current file. If I exit out and reopen the file, all layer names will return bsck to normal. However if I cont. to work on the file for a long time, the file will get corrupted. when restore, a lot of annotative symbols that where on different "@_96" layers will merge into on new "audit" layer. Sometimes the symbols show up with a different current annotative scale

After editing my clips and am ready to burn,I select SHARE, CREATE DISK, DVD, create a menu and get stuck in a closed loop.Instead of NEXT after I preview the final product, the window has BACK, so I end up in the window where you select if you want a menu. Click NEXT and am back at the menu window with BACK in the box.
This same VS pro X2 was on my old computer (XP) and made many burns with no problems.
I've had nothing but problems with this latest project, finally got what looks decent and can't get past "preview" in the burn module. There's no "next" button, just "back."

I try to use the lasso tool to select an irregular chunk of an image and copy this chunk to another part of an image.
When I do this, it says "Could not complete the copy command because the selected area is empty." But there is clearly something in the selected area, and even if there wasn't, it should still copy white space.
This worked once, but when I try to do it now, I have the above problem. I don't know what I did different the time that it worked.
I'd use Microsoft Paint to do this, but it only lets me copy and paste square
chunks and I need irregular.
I am not able to get into my Illustrator CS3 account. A blank window shows when I try to get into the program and I can't get past the blank window. For some reason I am locked out.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSuddenly today, trying to open CS3 I get blank registration window which it will not go beyond.
The application is there in the background but everything is greyed out. I am not sure I have ever filld inal the registration details, I have just always pressed the 'later' button.
I'm running a batch process to apply a certain action. This action selects a color in the image, then switches to the alpha channel, selects a new background color, then deletes the content selected, leaving the area with a new rgb value. The problem is that not all the images have that color, so when it goes to select it, it doesn't find it.
Then an error pops up informing me that the delete funciton isn't available, since there's nothing selected. I've tried logging them to a file, but even then, the action stops at that step and moves onto the next image. Therefore it never makes it to the close step, so they remain open.
I have been using Paint Shop Pro for around fifteen years now and have always been very happy with each new version. I tended to upgrade every other version and have been using X2 for the last couple of years. With the recent announcement of Corel's service pack to fix some of the problems of X4, I decided to upgrade.
I uninstalled X2 and rebooted ready to install my shiny new copy of X4. All went well until I tried to start it up. The splash screen appears and starts to load up the components but every time it gets to "Initializing Palletes" it crashes and I get the "Paint Shop Pro has stopped working" and the options to close or go online and check for a solution!
I've tried uninstalling it, repairing the install, and also uninstalling it using the RevoUnInstaller as recommended by df but it didn't work. I also tried installing SP1 to see if it worked but didn't.
I can't even get this thing to start up at the moment. I need it for a few projects I'm working on and am beginning to wish I had left well alone!
I'm also dreading trying to re-install X2 as I can see that having problems if X4 has screwed up any deep-seated settings.
I have finished authoring my first DVD with VSX5. The VIDEO_TS folder and contents have been produced successfully. However the burned folder is a disaster and will not play past the title menu. I have used Nero for the burn.
It is not a media problem because I have used the same media brand on hundreds of project and hardly ever had problems.
I have also tried to play the project from the VIDEO_TS folder via the IFO file. I can get past the title menu to the chapters menu but again highlighting a chapter will not change the thumbnail in the Smart Menu window but the Play button works.
I authored the same movie in Pinnacle Studio 12.1 and had no problems.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a new Gimp user and have just started working on my first project with this application. Unfortunately, I ran into a roadblock almost immediately. I am unable to make text any larger than 30 PX. I can enter larger sizes than this in the Text Tool window, but any value greater than 30 has no effect. It doesn't matter whether I am trying to change existing text or am setting up the Text Tool for entering some new text. Selecting different units for the text size makes no difference in the maximum text size.

My Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 will not crop photos as it did in the past. When I use the crop tool, the photo is changed to the size of a dot and is unrecognizable.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI went to startup LR5.2 (local) and it all of a sudden did not get past the splash screen. It hung with a "Not Responding" in the title bar. I went to a backup file and the program seemed to operate normally. I did another backup to make sure I saved a good catalog. Today the same thing happened. I again went back to the backup and that did not seem to work. I have tried a number of things including deleting all of the preview files and upgrading to version 5.3.
Up until the other day LR5.2 was operating without any problems. One more thing. I finally got it to work by deleteling all of the preview files and going back to my backup. It starts up and seems to be ok; however, when I close the program and try to re-start .. it again does not get beyond the splash screen.
I have subscribed to the CC version of PS + LR but I am only using PS - have not downloaded LR5 for CC.
I did increase the RAW space to 30 Gig and there is 119 Gig of space on the hard drive. I use an i5 processor and run the 64 bit version of LR.
I had to reinstall LR4. How do I locate and load previous raw edits? Here's what I've tried:

I was trying to put together a slideshow in the Trial Version of Lightroom 1.0(on WindowsXP SP2) and I clicked on the Soundtrack section to add music. When the browse for music dialog came up it only showed drives below my H: drive. I keep my music on my M: drive and could not add music to the slideshow. I tried sharing my M: Drive and mapping it to my F: drive, but when I selected it I got "The folder F: cannot be used, please try another folder." This is a severe limitation.
I was planning on purchasing this version, but it looks like it is not quite ready yet. Maybe I will wait for 2.0. I was also not able to stack photos or change the folder that I import to from the downloader.
I often work with very large images (300dpi, with both geographical space and file size very large) since I'm often printing these images for print / direct marketing campaigns or signage. The image I'm working on now, for example, is 255MB / 44" x 42" @ 300 DPI. That's a big picture! So, sometimes I need to work in detail at the edge of a document. That's where the problem comes in:
When I'm zoomed in at say 100%, while working with that 44" by 42" image, obviously I must scroll around to get access to other areas of the image and display them on the screen. However, if I try to use the Hand tool for instance and drag up so I bring the canvas up and expose some part of the gray outside (and thus exposing the edge plus some blank space for me to work on, just like you'd do in Flash or whatever other programs.) When I try to do that with PhotoShop CS2, it will bring the image to the edge of the image's window, but not allow me to drag it even further like you'd be able to do at say a zoom level of 50% or smaller.
Can I enable this feature so I can drag images and move them into the window display but also show some of the exterior of the canvas so that I can work in great zoomed detail but at the leading edge in 100% zoom mode?
Reinstalled PSE 5.0 on new computer running Windows 7. Downloaded the service pack for PSE 5.0.2. Read that I needed to adjust the compatibility to Windows XP (service pack 3) PSE opens, but only as far as "Reading Preferences," then never goes farther.

I prefer Indesign over Illustrator but I tried with that also and that gives me a limit of 227 inches. I need to go bigger than this and it will probably be a regular problem. Is there a way to trick ID or AI to go larger?
View 7 Replies View RelatedEventually after I copy and paste with the clipboard enough times within one drawing, the ability goes away and I can no longer copy and past one item from one drawing to a separate drawing. I need to use the clipboard function because that is the only way of getting an item from one drawing to another.
I have download a clear clipboard function but it doesn't work. Closing CAD and restarting does not reinstate the function.
I'm not sure why, but Photoshop just started doing this after I converted my files to a smart object. When I try to zoom in past 50%, it displays these transparent pixel squares over the entire image. I tried rasterizing and flatting the image back, but that didn't do anything. It seems to keep doing this.

I've tried combinations of settings all over the map, but nothing gets even close. The jagged edge just won't go away.
I created some posters last year and I need to make them again this year. For some reason I'm not able to increase the font size past 1000.
I wrote down the instructions last year. The only thing I can't remember is how I increased the font to 2000. I can get the font size to 1000, but as soon as I increase it nothing shows up on the screen except the blinking cursor.
I'm using Paint.net 3.5.10 build 3.510.4297.28964 on windows 7. I have the image resolution set to 300.
I have also tried this same thing using the latest version of Paint.net on windows 8. I get the same behavior but I can't increase the font size past 900.
The file I created is too large to attach.
I have been using PSE 8 for a while, and recently installed the version 11 trial copy to see if it made sense for me to upgrade. Everything seemed to be going OK (PSE 11 converted my PSE 8 catalog OK etc.) until tonight.
A few minutes ago, I tried to open up version 11 and it gave me an error (#6) that said there was a configuration error and I needed to uninstall and reinstall version 11.
So, I uninstalled version 11. That seemed to go fine.
However, before trying to re-install version 11 I decided to play around with version 8 for a while. Only now, every time I double-click on my PSE version 8 shortcuts (one for the main program, one for the organizer), I get a screen asking me to agree to the Adobe software license. I click "accept" but then the license screen just goes away and the program never starts.
I am having an issue with my dimensions. If I have a dimension that is 1'-3" or larger, my extension line beyond my dimension line extends the normal length, but as soon as my dimension goes under 1'-3", the extension line then gets twice as long outside of the dimension line (see attachment). I have researched...and i can't seem to find a dim variable that will let me change this. is there anything to control this happening once my dimension goes below 1'-3"?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I'm working on a website layout this morning with parts and pieces all over my artboard. I zoom out to 25% and everything on my artboard disappears. It's still there, just not visible. I did a little tinkering and it turns out the 27% and below has this effect.
I'm using CorelDaw X6 64-bit on Windows 7.
I have a partitioned mac that i am running windows 7 on. I've had no problems with corel and all of a sudden when I go to open the program it won't open past "Creating Application Environment" and I get an error message stating problem open corel.
I have tried the f8 thing, no luck, I have tried the uninstall reinstall, no luck, I've tried the run registry, no parasite.
