AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Using ViewCube Tool Leads To Crash

Photoshop :: CS5 - Driver Error Leads To Constant Crash In CS6
Jun 21, 2013I was using CS5.1 for a while with no problems. Everything went well until one day it gave me an error on hardware acceleration. All it did was give me a scrubby zoom. I spent a few days researching it and eventually gave up on finding a solution.
So I thought I'd try out CS6, to see if it fixed anything. It doesn't. It's worse, even. It crashes randomly at various actions (like switching tools, changing layers, saving), and it crashes without fail if I use liquefy or transform a layer and then try to duplicate it (I'm just trying to make a gif, darnit!) If I'm just drawing and erasing and using undo, it doesn't crash as much. Scrubby zoom is still a problem.
My driver is up to date according to the HP website:Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver2010-12-03 , Version:8.15.10.2189, 78.05MIt's really old, but HP isn't updating it. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Moot point.The driver is compatible with OpenGL.
I also tried this driver, but apparently it's not compatible.
Additional info/things I've tried: Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU M 450 @ 2.40GHZ 2.40 GHzRAM: 4GBSystem type: 64-bit No third-party plug-ins. 60% memory available to Photoshop. Photoshop is updated to the latest version.Windows is updated (I spent a freggin day trying to figure that out because updates were frozen, and then spent 3 hours trying to figure out why F8 wouldn't bring up advanced boot options so I can delete old update logs so I can update windows so I can get photoshop working--TO NO AVAIL) GPU support option is greyed out, so it's already turned off.
When it crashes, all Windows says is "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working". Then the details afterwards note "files that describe the problem", which include...

So I looked up other issues regarding "aticfx64.dll", and nothing works. My last options are either to downgrade again, or to upgrade my video card, but I don't know what kind of video card I need.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: ViewCube Skewed From WCS?
Sep 27, 2012I've got a strange problem with my ViewCube. My screen is showing the world ordinate system as it should in the standard plan view ( X horizontal,Y vertical); however, my ViewCube is skewed to the right about 30° (top view and rotated about 30° right). It is set to orient to the current UCS and the current UCS Is World. If I use the ViewCube to change the setting and orient it as top view orthogonal (north straight up) my view (UCS World) gets twisted left by about (not exactly) 30°.Am I missing something or is this abnormal ViewCube behavior?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Viewcube And UCS In Template Drawing
Jul 30, 2012I set my template dwg UCS to world. The viewcube will straighten up, i.e. North points up on the screen. I save the template, start a new drawing using the template and my viewcube rotates every time. I have to reset the UCS to world. What would cause this?

Jan 4, 2013I am working in C3D 2013 creating a new "clean" template and continue to have the problem of the view cube east and west getting flipped. I've had this problem occasionally in the past and by editing the GEOGRAPHICLOCATION seemed to solve this. Generally I noticed the "z" coordinate setting would flip from a "+" to a "-" thus causing the "e" & "w" swap. My problem is that this is no longer a permanent fix. Every time I open the dwg I am have to edit the GEOGRAPHICLOCATION.
I know I could just turn off the view cube and pretend I never saw this issue but I'm worried this may cause other problems when it comes to coordinates and survey data.

Feb 9, 2014Whenever I overlap UV shells in the UV editor either by transfering UV maps between mirrored objects, or simply copying objects, or by manually snapping UVs on top of each other, I run into a problem when I want to move those overlapping shells. When I marquee select all those UVs or hit Select Shell and then try to move all of them at once with the move tool, they become misaligned. In certain cases they snap back together or are only off a little, but most of the time, they jump around in a weird fashion.

1. Create a document and type some text in a font size, for example I used a 30 points size.
2. Duplicate this layer.
3. Make the text layer it bigger but don't use the Text tool, use Transform. The font size will be shown in the Text panel accordingly. Deselect this layer.
4. If you select the layer or point the Text tool the size will be right (42,66 pt)
5. Select all the text in the layer you just made bigger, the panel will show that text is still 30 points!
I wanted to upload photos to clarify the problem, but the browser disn't allow me to do so, although pics are 450px wide and less than 2.0 MB each.
Photoshop :: Eyedropper Tool Causes CS6 To Crash

I use the Curves Toolbox (I invoke this command thru the shortcut Ctrl + M) and select the grey eyedropper to color correct my image. It crashes immediately upon clicking with the eyedropper to select my source color. When I am using the Brush tool in Color mode and I hit "option" to invoke the eyedropper it will crash as soon as I choose my source color.

The only other programs I have running are Finder, Firefox, Text Expander, and Bridge. Mini-Bridge is open as well. I'm going to try to work solely with Mini-Bridge to see if that works at all.

Close Civil 3D, then restart it.
It should open in a zero-document state, with the SSM palette visible.
Now open a sheet set, and double click on a sheet in the SSM to open it.
When I do this, I get four "Unhandled Exception" dialogs in a row, then C3D disappears (crashes!)

Jan 21, 2012PaintShop Pro X4 SP1 I've had this happen a few times before, but now it's beyond a joke, in that any time now I attempt to use the Clone tool, an empty script error message presents, and PSP is either frozen dead or just vanishes from the screen.
Win XP Event Viewer reports: Faulting application corel paintshop pro.exe, version 14.1.0.92, faulting module corecmd.dll, version 14.1.0.18, fault address 0x0000dd54.
FWIW. PSP X2U on the same machine works its clone tool okay.
Ah well! back to a JASC version of PSP 9 that does actually work for more than part time use.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Paste Special Crash When Pasting From PDF?
Jul 11, 2013About 50% of the time, when I take a screenshot of part of a pdf (using acrobat's screenshot tool) when I go to paste it into C3d, I choose paste special, and then image object, and the screen goes pale and I get the C3d has encountered an error and needs to close message.
I have installed the latest hotfix which was recommended after a save to dxf crash this morning but just had it crash out again with a paste special.
When this crash happens, it never asks me to send in a report.
I am using C3d 2013. the 64bit version, on Win7 pro 64 bit SP1,Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPU E3-1240 V2 @ 3.40ghz and 3.40ghz. 16gb RAM, and AMD FirePro V5900 2gb graphics card.
The computer should be able to cope, but I find that it lags if I just insert whole pdfs and I usually only need a bit of the image.
Is there anything I can do apart from always convert the pdf into a jpg first?

- Open a SheetSet.
- Right click on the sheetset and select Transmittal Setups.
- Click import.
- Select a template DST and click open.
- Check a setup and click import checked.
Civil 3D Locks and an error saying "AutoCAD Application has stopped working" pops up and whamo. I have custom eTransmit settings and here they are just in case,

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Menus And Ribbon Frozen After Crash
Oct 28, 2013Lately, whenever Civil 3D crashes, my menus and ribbons would freeze, but my command line still works. It's like the entire user interface locks up. I'm able to workaround the problem by rebooting the computer and then recovering any drawings I had open at the time of the crash.

Jun 20, 2012I recently upgraded to Civil 3D 2013. I am regularly crashing when I pick objects, usualy in the erase command, then type "r" to remove some of the objects. After I've picked the objects to remove and hit enter I get a fatal error. This is happening in several different drawings so I don't think it's drawing specific. Today it happened with the stretch command. I'm not sure if it's happening everytime I remove objects but if not it's quite often. A co-worker said he has noticed the same thing.

Photoshop :: Crash To Desktop After Deselecting Move Tool
Sep 10, 2012I'm having troubles using Photoshop CS6 (64-bit) on Windows 7 (x64). After deselecting the move tool, or any tool that has move capabilities, such as the various transform tools, Photoshop crashes to the desktop.
I have reset all preferences by holding CTRL + ALT + SHIFT while starting Photoshop and by manually deleting the preferences files. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop in its entirety. These attempts to solve the issue didn't change anything regarding the crashing. I am using the latest drivers for my graphics cards.

AutoCAD 2010 :: UCS Doesn't Seem To Follow Viewcube?
Oct 16, 2012I just got a newer computer and loaded autocad2012. If I use the viewcube to rotate to a front view and try to draw or dimension it only will draw on the "top" or XY coordinates while the screen is showing the xz. If I use the view tool bar and switch to the front view I can draw at will on the "front" and the ucs is showing I am drawing on the xy. How do I get the ucs to follow the view with the view cube like it does with the tool bar?
Now, I have checked the ucs settings ucsortho (1) ucsvp (1) ucsfollow (1) What else am I missing?
If I change view with the viewcube, then type ucs v. It will change the ucs to match the view. Why isn't it doing it automatically?

Jan 15, 2010I am inserting hyperlinks in an mtext object using the following commands:
1. Within the mtext box, right click and select "insert field"
2. Choose "linked"
3. Choose "Hyperlink"
4. Type in the web address in the box to allow autodesk to load the website
5. Choose "insert link"
6. Modified "text to display"
7. Exit text editor.
When I exit the text editor, the program crashes.
