View 3 RepliesI have a few sites that I use just to keep FeatureLines that I'm using for construction and don't want them interacting with anything in other sites. Of the when I draw an FL in one of those sites I'll get a message such as "Updating 286 points". This takes over 2 minutes to accomplish.
Since I don't have a lot of FeatureLines in the sited I wouldn't expect it to take that long. If it were a complicated site I might not think anything of it. If I add another FL I will still get the same message with the same # of points. So it isn't based on the number of vertices in the FL in that site or it would increase after adding each FL. There is no Surface that uses these FL. So It isn't updating a TIN.

BTW. If I delete the FL I don't get any message or lag.
Is there a way to display vertices and elevation points of featurelines so I can see where to apply labels to individual segments? Without the markers it is a trial and error process of placing labels, then picking the line to activate the grips to see if I missed any segments.
I know I could create a label style that labels all the vertices but that just adds clutter. I'd really like to see some sort of marker if possible.

I drew 2 circles with ttr command (1 and 2). The problem is when I try to trim them to remove the part I don't need, it doesn't work cause the circles 1 and 2 aren't stick with the borders as they should. At the 4 red circle points, if you zoom you'll notice they don't stick the border, never faced this problem before (usually I cut the part I don't need without problem). I've done regen/all but doesn't seem to fix that problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there is an easy way to trim one surface to another. Right now, I have two slopes (3:1) that are perpendicular to each other. They meet at a corner and I have extended them past each other so that I could see the intersecting edge. Now I would like to trim them to each other like you would a polyline etc... but I am not sure how to do this.

View 9 Replies View Relatedhow to get the little green rotate circle back in C3D 2012 and 2013?
When you click on a point in 2011 (at least my setup), there is a little green circle that pops up that I can click on and rotate the point around. In 2012, I have to click on the point, then right click on it, then select rotate label, only then can I rotate the thing.

We have been bringing points directly into a 2012 Civil 3d drawing using the same method for quite a while. We use a numeric descriptor code and the points are filtered correctly. In this particular drawing, one description code was singled out and "locked" in the drawing. The points and symbol show in the drawing slightly muted but when I try to edit the points I am unable to do so. I have tried the "unlock" command with no result. The symbol displayed by the point number is a red circle over a pencil.
