Why? It doesn't seem to be affecting anything, but it's annoying.
Any way I can get rid of it?

Aug 31, 2011I just loaded 2008. With cleanscreen on, the close "X" button is grayed out and inop. Also, the minimize button which is still operable does not fully minimize AutoCAD. How can I get these buttons operable in cleanscreen mode?

In order to do that I put labels on all parts (play1,...,play5). Then I put a code on the button on the click event :

For example: I have an already animated object [a dice] as button and I have a Text object located on other part of the stage and where should appear the random number from 1 to 6.
I have tried in CreationComplete and compositionReady, and in the Click option in the button, one of these two options:
Math.floor((Math.random()*6)+1);
var ran_number=Math.floor(Math.random()*5;
I have also tried in the dice image [button] within the symbol this [with one of the two previous codes]:
sym.getComposition().getStage().$("text").html(ran_number);
And it doesn't work anyway. Right now I'm basically lost. That would be like:

Dec 2, 2011 I am very new to Flex/Flash/Illustrator. Using Illustrator CS5.1, Flex 3.6 SDK in Flash Builder 4.5, and Visual Studio 2010.I am developing a hybrid plugin for Adobe Illustrator. The plugin is C++ and interfaces with a hardware device and an UI extension built on Flex/Flash. It uses the CSXS library (version 2.0 based on Flex 3.4 SDK) to perform the communication between the extension and the plugin.
When the UI extension closes, I need the plugin to perform some tasks. These tasks might be related to Illustrator and/or to the device it communicates with. If the UI is closed using a button I add to the UI, the plugin runs the tasks as needed. If the UI is closed using the 'X' button in the corner of the window, I can not get the CSXS interface dispatch events to carry over to the plugin. This is the same dispatch events used from the UI button that I manually created and works fine.
I have tried capturing the exiting event from the NativeApplication and I do see myself entering the associated function to that capture. The dispatch events run but I do not enter the corresponding functions in the plugin.Below is one of several attempts at making this work (believe this was found on the Adobe forums):

Again, windowedapplication1_closingHandler will process but the dispatched event is not seen by my plugin (when the 'X' is clicked).Is there a way to disable/hide the 'X' in the corner of the window?Am I not properly "capturing" and "halting" the exit event?Should I move away from the CSXS Library and use sockets to perform this communication (though the closing of the extension may have the same affect on the socket communication)?I am currently working on Windows 7 64-bit (if that matters) but the plugin will have to work on Mac too.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Random Zooming To Extents?
Feb 19, 2013My C3D 2013 just started doing this last week... I first noticed that it would zoom to extents when I operated the center mouse button for panning. It was random, about 1 out of every 15 to 20 pans using the center button.
But then I noticed that it's not just the panning. It will randomly zoom to extents when I type in a command. Earlier today, it did it when I did a REGEN, then again when I did a MAPWSPACE.
The other notable thing is that there is no "zoom" command anywhere in the command history when this occurs.
Besides changing the mice, I also tried rebooting and running a repair on C3D. I have Win7-64.
The problem seems to coincide with when I started using Autodesk 360. Not saying it's related, but it's fishy.

Dec 31, 2013In the past couple C3D versions, I've had these random borders show up in my simple tables. I have a table for my legend and another one I use for a list of references. I use no borders for these tables but sometimes when I edit a cell somewhere in the table, the random border will appear. I remove it and then sometimes it reappears again later. It's usually the top line of the second row, second column only but occasionally it will be when I add a row into an existing table.

I've got a user who imports points into the survey database and RANDOMLY the points will be shifted on average 27 feet in the northing and 4 feet in the easting. She notices this because she'll check a point and see tht the northing and easting varies from the grid northing and easting (I've attached an image to view) She will then discard the drawing and begin a new one only to import the data and now it imports correctly. The behavior is completely random and it's happening on multiple projects.
All the projects begin with the same template. All the settings (drawing settings and survey settings) have been set to US Survey Foot. It's weird because once the issue is noticed it can be fixed by simply beginning another drawing and re-importing the data, but it has happened on projects where she's already got pre-existing data.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Multileader Landing Distance Changes To Apparent Random Value (-8 / ±)
Nov 9, 2011I'm having a frequent but random problem with Multileaders where the landing distance will change on its own from its initial standard 1/8 inch to some relatively large negative distance which also causes the landing to disappear altogether. If I use the move trick for resetting all elevations to zero (Move 0,0,10e99 then 0,0,10e-99) the landing will reappear connecting the landing grip at the strange negative offset.
The problem seems only to happen when the leader is connected to the bottom right of the note.
When I remove the leader and add a new leader it appears correct but as soon as I save the drawing the affected Multileaders will again present this problem.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Referenced Surface Not Working - Random Times
Oct 2, 2013We have drawing "A" that contains a surface (call the surface "SurfaceA").
We have another drawing "B", that contains an alignment and a reference to"SurfaceA"
The user created EG profiles in drawing "B", and has been working on this drawing periodically.
Today all of a sudden when he opens Drawing "B", the EG profiles are missing. When you look at "SurfaceA" in Drawing "B", there is no data. We synced, we made sure of the association of the drawings to the projects, etc. etc.
I verified the data shortcuts are OK, and verified that both drawings are in good shape (via Recover and Audit)
But wait.....here is the crazy part. If you shut down Drawing "B" and open it say a dozen times, once or twice in that stretch, "surfaceA" shows up and the EG profiles will appear OK too. It's feels very random.....

Jun 15, 2012I'm uploading the .dwg and .txt files. I'm trying to get volume calcs cut and fill between two surfaces and when I compare the data between AGTEK's Highway 3D there is different results. I looked into it to find these random line appearing in Autocad making what seems to be the problem. Where are these coming from and how do I fix? Also, if you could anwser how can I insert a sectional following the 12'-23' offsets and dropping 1.16' down and adding it to my design surface. I want to make a big box there added to design surface.

Jun 20, 2013About half the time, when I display the text window, it's more or less locked. I can't scroll, I can't click the "X" to close the window, I can't resize it, I can't move it, etc. All I can do is click back in the main AutoCAD window, which brings it to the top and continue working. The text window stays active and in the taskbar until summoned again - until that session of C3D is closed. (It does still reflect the current command status)
Other times, the text window acts normal. There is no obvious difference between when it acts up and when it doesn't. IOW, I'm always running the same profile, same workspace, the command line is always docked, other palette configuration is the same.

Oct 9, 2013Whenever I open the Volumes Dashboard in a drawing and then close it, my cursor and my WCS compass start blinking erratically, and the program seems more apt to freeze up when I try to do other things from that point on, especially if I try to move to a drawing in another tab. If I bring back the volumes dashboard, it's fine again, but then I've got the annoying outlining of my volume surfaces that I don't want. how to handle this? Is it just an unavoidable glitch in the program?

I noticed that when surfaces cross or pass close to each other some extra triangles show up trying to stitch together the surfaces. I can not find an option that can stop this, eg "not create extra triangles". Why these extra triangles occur? Can you limit it?

Sep 4, 2012I loaded 2013 Civil 3D and I customized my Ribbon with Zoom Commands I use frequently; everything looked fine...I changed the Workspace to Planning & Analysis and cutomized my Ribbon to include the Zoom Commands but a Button Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT came up with a cloud & question mark. I went to look for the Icon Image & I don't see it. I made the mistake of changing the Icon to another hoping I could change it back but it's not there. I went to the 2012 verison & the Button Icon is there...first icon listed. Where are the icons in 2012 so I can drag & drop image into 2013?
The icon has a point symbol with a magnifying glass. I've checked other computers and the same thing. Can't find the Image Icon for ZOOM_TO_POINT. It shows up when you load the software but if you want to edit it...it's not there in the CUI Button Icons.

Jan 2, 2013I am growing increasinly frustrated. I just installed AutoCAD LT 2013 on my laptop. I managed to get everything customized the way I want, except the button icons on my (classic) toolbar are much too small. If I go into the menu and select 'use large icons', they are too huge. My screen resolution DOES NOT need to be changed or adjusted. I went to the help menu to see what I can do, and found that I can go into CUI and adjust the size of the button icons that way, via the button image editor, however there is no 'button image editor' dialog box when I select any given toolbar command.
