AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Nothing Appears As Stakeout Alignment Report Is Executed
Aug 10, 2013Nothing appears as the “Stakeout Alignment Report” is executed,I wanted to execute the “Stakeout Alignment Report” (attached) but nothing appears! This is despite the fact that:
-The IE is set as default browser (attached)
-The Active X is enabled (attached)
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: XML Inverse Report Angle Precision?
Jul 23, 2010My parcel inverse reports from the Toolbox Report Manager are still coming in with the bearings having decimal seconds to 3 places (N 0-00-00.000 E). I have already changed the variable for angle precision to zero in the "General_Formating_JScript" xsl file but it's still not coming out correctly. Is there any other file that holds an additional angle or bearing precision setting?

Oct 31, 2009When I run the Map Check report in C3D 2010, the Delta angle on curves displays to a tenth of a second, no matter what I do with settings. It should display to the whole second.

May 16, 2013I am trying to find out if there is a way to change the code for the Corridor Section Points Report. See attachment.
In page 1 of the attachment you will see the names that we prefer for the different zones in our assembly as per our Standards.
On page 2 is the default names that C3D spits out as defaults (under String Cut).
We are running C3D 2012.

Nov 7, 2013I would like to have my corridor section points report to have different labels for the points like Edge of Shoulder or EOP instead of labels like P2 and Hinge. Is the only way to do this to somehow change the codes in the stock subassemblies?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Stakeout On Grid In Drawing
Mar 23, 2012I am trying to create stakeout on grid in drawing wherein I wish to give details of X,Y coordinates along with Z (which will be volume comparison surface). I wish to display this information at every 5m interval on drawing. This can be useful for contractor for stakeout on site.
I tried using command thru "Points - Create Points, Suafec - On Grid" I did everything as directed on screen. However no information is getting displayed on screen. I am bit confused. I have made sure no layers are frozen and point style is also correct (i.e. it is not none). Still I don't see any information on screen.
Photoshop :: Radial Blur At Angle
Oct 30, 2008here are my two pictures i have photoshopped, its actually of my car parked. But i added motion blur to the background and then a radial blur to the wheels, however, the radial blur is flat and see how my wheels are at an angle, is there any way of getting the radial blur to be at an angle so that it matches my wheels. I think the first wheel looks good in both shots but the back wheel does not. Thats because of the angle.....

Aug 13, 2013How would I go about generating labelled points with xyz values at 5m intervals along a road alignment in Civils 3D 2014?
I have had a go with the AddAlign Labels command but could not figure out how to add an elevation value to the label. Also this method seems to require manual input for each label which is not practical as I will have have around 450 points to set out.
I have looked into the Stakeout Alignment Report, but this seems to require a survey database, which I don't have.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Unable To Change Text Rotation Angle
Jan 19, 2012I have a plan with lots and lot numbering. I made the lot number text annotative and matching view orientation. But when it rotates in the view it rotates about the left justification point instead of middle as inserted into drawing. So I inserted lot numbert text into drawing and changed text to non-annotative, but now i can not change the text rotation angle unless i use rotate command on each individual piece of text (was trying to pick all text and change in properties box). Using feature lines to assist in grading design so not sure if this is an autocad problem or a civil 3d 2012 problem. I can rotate dtext made or inserted in drawing.

Sep 25, 2012I would like to build an expression that I can use in a label at a structure in a profile view to show the horizontal angle change on the alignment at the structure.
Of course, in the available structure expressions, we do not have the alignment delta angle at that point even though I have a referenced alignment in my pipe network.
Our subdivision code has minimum drop across manhole for different ranges of horizontal angle change.
I want to create a label that shows the minimum drop required at a manhole off it's referenced alignment and I would like to see it on the profile view, because that is where the drop value is relevant.

How do we report material? Lower case letters spelling ductile iron is not acceptable in this office. How to I edit this to be 'DI' or anything else? I have looked in the press part catalog editor or whatever it's called and did not see a way to add to the list of all lower case materials.
Do I have to rely sole on part description for material in labels? ....and why do they still think that no one needs to use the " symbol with these parts? Freakin crashing all morning tring to get this going...

Aug 23, 2012why I get these unusual radial lines showing up in my plot preview. The drawing looks fine on the screen but when I go to plot I get hundreds of lines that converge to a point in my preview.

Oct 29, 2012I am wanting to draw lines from gun setup to the back sight, and then from the gun to all the radial shots that were taken from that setup. I would like to do this as automatically as possible. (i.e. a bunch of radial lines from the gun to each individual shot from that setup).
Our raw files are in TDS format. I could do it manually by using the transparent command 'PN, but I would have to draw a line from the setup to the shots individually.
Otherwise, I could write a lisp that asks me for the setup pt number, and I could give it a range ot pt #'s and have it draw lines from the gun to each of the pts in the range. (that is, if 'PN works in lisp).
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Spiral Curves - Perpendicular Versus Radial
Feb 22, 2012why a line drawn perpendicular to a spiral curve in C3D is not radial? If so, what is it perpendicular to? It can result in several feet of difference.
Also, labeling an alignment along a spiral using the automatic routines appears to run perpendicular (whatever that is - not radial).
Perhaps I'm not looking at the math right (its been awhile since spiral curves in college) but it seems to me that a curve of diminishing radius should be labeled radially. Is that not how C3D sees it?
The only other thing I can think is that C3D is running perpendicular to the small tangents or arcs that it puts in to approximate a spiral curve.

Oct 24, 2012I copied the General Legal Description report and renamed it. When I ran the report, it asked me to save the file Civil.html before opening it. If I run the OOTB report it does not ask me to save the page before opening it. Is this something that I can fix? I have not found a setting anywhere that changes this.
