I installed Infrastructure Design Suite 2013 on my pc to try, when using 2012.
F1 doesn't work and neither does any of the buttons on the Help ribbon. I haven't uninstalled the 2013 version yet. Was hoping to not have to.
I must have changed some dam switch or something. DBLCLKEDIT is set to on and CUI is setup for some double click actions.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just tried to do an xref and the command stops everything. I get no reaction from autocad. What is wrong?
here is an update: The Xref Palette is docked to my left side and when I hover to get it to flip out I click the DWG button in the left hand upper corner. Well nothing happens from there. Now, when I type -xref the command works at the command line. How do I get the palette to work again?
We have had this problem on several computers in the office and it seems to happen at random. The existing tags in the files still read correctly, but if you try to insert a new tag, or a room name or number updates, the only way to get them to read the correct space information is to close AA and restart it. I have not been able to identify any common circumstances when this occurs.
We are on AA 2010. This morning I had barely been in the program an hour when I had to restart just to change a room name.
We are have been using Inventor to draw wooden furniture for a couple years, and have a custom appearance library with several different finishes (using photos of actual finished pieces of wood). Every now and then a part (ipt) takes a notion to not change to the color we set it to, seemingly without ryhme or reason. This mostly occurs with mirrored parts, but occasionally a standard (not mirrored part) will do this as well.
We have done all the obvious things, and some not so obvious. The path to the photos and the library is added to the project, and I opened the Appearance Browser and checked to make sure appearance knows where to find its bmp file, and it still doesn't do it to change color. And yes, I tried restarting my computer, because a couple days ago I was working with the Appearance Browser, and sometimes restarting Inventor made a difference in whether certain things worked or didn't work. This is also not limited to one computer, it acts like this on all of our computers.
We are using some png files and some bmp picture files. Would the file format maybe have something to do with it ?
This may sound like a stupid question but I have been doing a bunch of work on different photos over the last few days and every thing has been working fine.
Today I had the program open and was working on a project with the eraser tool and I had to leave to answer the phone. When I left the tool was working fine while I was away from the computer it kicked into sleep mode. When I came back and went to start where I left off the eraser tool would do nothing.
I have since garbaged that whole project, restarted my computer reset all the tools you name it and I can not get that or the paint brush to work.
The eraser tool will make a very fine scratch no matter how I set it.
What happened while I was away from my desk????
I do not have any kids or anyone else that would have messed something up.
Does anyone have any ideas, is it something simple or should I try reloading the program?
I am currently using the trial version of PS CS3 on a vista machine. (my true copy is on the way) Droplets worked yesterday but suddenly don't work today.

Suddenly, the "preview" pane of the the "manage" tab has just quit working. It's whited out. I click on a thumbnail and the image info shows on the side pane, but the main frame just remains white. I've tried restarting the machine, to no avail. I can try uninstalling and reinstalling, but would rather not.

I can copy from other programs and paste into Corel, but I cannot copy from one file to another file (or the same file even) within Corel.
I was told it could be a possible update from Windows 7 causing it and that I need to reinstall my software.

The main function is for adding block in a collection (the user select block). The programm quit, so the user can open a another dwg and run the main function for adding another block. (i memorize name, handle, name of file etc..)
Another question : it is possible to create a form in autocad but if the only active document is closed, the form is not closed and visible. ?

Currently I have to dxfin a converted .job file to get my survey feature text and field comments into my drawing.
Question #1 How do I get rid of the point node associated with the points that have comments? All I want is the text, no nodes.
Question #2 What layer does the block come in on?
Question #3 Do I need to merge the block to my drawing?
Questoin #4 How do I manipulate the text? Can I create styles for it? Becasue it looks horrible as a .dxf block.
I installed cs5 and used it without problems. I downloaded a trial version of cs6, and when it expired, I get a message that say cs5 has quit unexpoectedliy everytime I try to open it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but it still will not open.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi type in xr and the box shows up but when i go to attach a dwg or image the box usually shows up so i can browse through and find the dwg i want to xref but the box doesn't show up all it says at the bottom in the command line is ATTACH
If i use the command classicxref then everything is fine i can attach anything i want. i checked the filedia and it is set to (1)
I have several user in my company with issues using Mapwspace.
1. I have imported a Nearmap image, (using command mapwspace) and drawn lines over and around the site, plus added sample points, and notes, and cadastre. These are clearly to be seen when the drawing is loading, but when the image comes in, everything disappears, except for the legend and text in paperspace.
I have replicated this issues, and when i tested it i got mixed results.I also got the image to hold, but hen i closed and re opened the drawing the image disappeared.
2. Another users is loosing more then images from MAPWSPACE, including GIS data sets. The content is disappearing when Vports are created.I have replicated this issues and the image disappeared when i created the Vport also? We are using Civil 3D 2012, SP1.
I am having a problem with one of our draweings, when I select Export > Autocad DWG 2010, nothing happens. I have tried opening another Civil 3D drawing, and it works fine. I can see the command on the command line, but no error or anything after it, just does not do anything.

I made a simple Windows.Form in which are check boxes (on for each layer of the CAD drawing).
Just to set the visibility of each layer. Everything is working fine, but I have a little problem with refreshing a drawing.
Changes of visibility settings are applied after a form is closed.
I need the drawing to be refreshed after every check box check change.

I'm exploring the option of going from normal autocad and PDS (for our road designs) to fully using Civil 3D 2013.
Generally we only recieve a survey drawing as a 2d cad file with height points represented as 2d text.
In PDS all we need do is 'convert text to point' and create a ground model, this gives us a 3d ground mesh to work with.
In Civil 3d i've found 'movetexttoelevation' but now i'm stuck with adding a point at the node of the text object, and then I need to creat a surface model to overlay a 2d siteplan andstart creating our roads.
Just had to repair my installation, now I am unable to use any Civil 3D commands, anything with "AECC" in front of it is coming back with "unknown command"?

Swap parts is not working for my structures. When I swap a structure it becomes unselectable and if I close out the drawing and re-open it the part is gone. I am running C3d 2012 64 it with the latest SP. I've attached the drawing.

I can't get background mask to work on one dwg
I can go into another drawing on my machine and it works just fine
it looks like its working until I zoom in or out then it doesn't work at all
I have an Existing Surface i created from survey data. I have a Proposed Surface i created with feature lines. Now i want to create grading around the outside portions of my Proposed Surface. I create the Grading Group and specified a projection surface and selected a Criteria Set for a 3:1 slope to match back to Existing Surface. I select the Feature Line i wish to create the grading from and progress through the cut and fill prompts and nothing happens. Nothing gets created. I have tried an audit on the drawing to see if errors are causing the problem and there are no errors.
I use this tool all the time and this problem comes up frequently. Especially if i have made any surface adjustments.
