I have created an easement after I selected the line callouts and created my parcel table I realized I missed selecting one of my line labels and it is missing from my table. I know I can just erase the table and then reselect all line callouts to create a NEW table, but I was wondering if there was a way to just select the line callout I missed and have it added to the parcel table without recreating a new one.
View 3 RepliesI am trying to create a line table. Here are the steps I am following :
First I label the lines I have drawn using a line label type for example Bearing over Distance, then I am going to the Annotate tab, Add Tables, Add Line and Curve and once I get to that dialog box I select my table style that I have already created and the label style I chose to label the line and click on the "apply" box and then "ok" and I see the labels such as L1, L2, etc. and all looks good, except now when I go to use that label style Bearing over distance to label another line, it labels the line with the tags and not the bearing and distance, its like the style is now defaulted to labeling tags and not bearing and distance anymore.
Is there anyway to reduce the extra space in the table rows. We finally ran into a situation on a job where the tables have to be smaller. So we ended up exploding the line & curve tables and manually adjusting the spacing.... Exporting the table data to excell would be useful, but cant find a way to do that. Reporting the line calls to html and copy clip to excell would work, but cant seem to do that either.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've created a Line & Curve table to display my metes & bounds. One of the curves is displaying an incorrect length, off by .01. It was caught as my project was reviewed by the city engineer. I went back to the database (Prospector --> Sites --> Parcels) and my mapcheck does conflict by .01.
Why is the mapcheck different from the Line / Curve table? How can I 'fix' the table to match the mapcheck data?

The vertical spacing in curve and line tables (the space between the text and the horizontal line) is too big. This makes the table too long and hard to fit on maps. For regualr tables, you can modify this. However, for curve and line tables this is not available. Is there a .NET file that creates/formats the tables that I could modify to reduce the spacing??
C3D 2012, but the same is true for 2014.
I need elevation data from a surface. I need an elevation every 15' along an alignment or feature line. I would like the information as a table. I am not sure how to do this.

When adding break lines to a surface, a dialog box like appears that asks for weeding factors and supplementing factors. What I would like to know is, how can I change the defaults to reflect the settings needed on my project.
I am using C3D 2009.

I have a corridor with an associated sample line group, and I have produced some material volume tables to give me quantities for my corridor structures and cut/fill volumes. When I look at the material volume tables they are at a seemingly arbitrary stationing. The sample line group which the material volume tables are (supposedly) based on are on alignment L1000 and they run from station 1133+73 to station 1154+00 every 10 meters. The material volume tables show volumes broken down by stations starting at station 3719+58.66 and runs through to station 3786+08.92. It is sampling at a seemingly arbitrary frequency, there is absolutely no alignment in my drawing that has stations remotely resembling those numbers, and there is definitely no sample line group it could be using that samples an alignment or stationing anything like that shown in the materials volume tables. We have a big piping job coming up and as Civil3d still lacks some of the labelling abilities we want in the profile view bands. I am updating some old vba that adds a profile line of the invert of a pipe network to a profile view effectively tracing along the bottom of the network like I know a lot of people do by hand.
My original code works on assuming that the start and end structure are at the start and end of the alignment in the revised code I want to allow for situations where this is not the case.
Leading to my question is there and easy way to find the distance a profile view part is drawn along the parent alignment or do I have look at writing my own function possibly extracting a polyline from the alignment and finding the distance using intersectionwith and distancefrom functions with the structure.
I am looking to draw my pipe with a thicker appearance than the typical line of width "0". Our storm pipes are usually drawn with this so as to stand out from other utilities. If the pipe is represented by a polyline, I have usually adjusted the "Width" or "Global Width" value to my liking. With pipe objects, it seems more complicated. I have searched the settings, and the closest thing that I could find was the Lineweight property, but that appears to have no effect on the line thickness in the CAD drawing.
Do I need to tweak a plot setting? Make a new linetype altogether?
I needed to remove a feature line that I used as a break line when creating a surface. When I removed the feature line from the definition of the surface, the grading did not change. It appears the points created by the feature line remain which is why grading didn't change. The only work around was to delete these points.
I noticed the same thing happens when I removed the surface boundary and inserted a new boundary. why these points remain and how to remove when I delete boundary and feature line from surface?
I have a line or a pline segment and i want to start a line from a point laying there and go perpendicular outwards. Is there a way to do it with tracking?
Yes, i saw the command draw line at an angle but i find it a little bit complicated for a simple task like that. I am sure autodesk have a simplest solution about that.
If i am already at the draw line mode and i can easy catch the tracking perpendicular to previous segment but if i want to start from another line and go perpendicular i cannot make the tracking work.
I have feature line with elevations that represents bottom of ditch and want to go UP 3:1 slope. also i have edge of road feature line that is higher than ditch and want to go 2% down until it hits side of the ditch that is 3:1. Any easiest way in civil 3d to create intersection line between ditch bottom going up 3:1 and edge of road going down 2%?

I have changed the line weight in the layer properties, in the Profile properties and tried changed the line weight in the pen style. Everywhere I could think I try to make the line thicker but when I plot, the line is still the same and difficult to distinguish from the grid blocks of the profile view.

Is it possible to copy a line in Plot Style Table, in my case red nr 1, and have two with different linetype?
I have a drawing where this specific line and the text belonging to it should be in red, (line 1) and the lines dashed. If I in my Plot Style Table make line 1 dashed, the text get dashed too.

Eg Layer Exterior Walls - Colour White Colour White -> lineweight .25mm
There are some lines on this layer (and on others) which appear different to the rest when plotted, as though they aren't following the line weight rule.

I am having an issue with the sheet set manager's tool to insert sheet list table. I have a new sheet set for a new project that was created entirely in Autocad 2012. When I try to insert a new sheet list table, after I click OK in the Sheet list Table dialoge box, it simply closes to an empty command line with nothing inserted. Why nothing is inserted?
