AutoCAD 2010 :: Insert Sheet List Table - Empty Command Line
Dec 7, 2011
I am having an issue with the sheet set manager's tool to insert sheet list table. I have a new sheet set for a new project that was created entirely in Autocad 2012. When I try to insert a new sheet list table, after I click OK in the Sheet list Table dialoge box, it simply closes to an empty command line with nothing inserted. Why nothing is inserted?
We are experiencing a case where the sheet list table will not insert into a page. It works on all other jobs, but this one won't let a sheet list table insert into any page, by any body.
I even tried inserting a block of the table from another set and then updating - all the lines disappeared.
We have done about 200 jobs with these, without trouble and this is the one giving us problems now.
I am insert a sheet list table - Two Columns "Dwg #" and "Sheet Title" under the first category (building 1) each column works fine) then under category 2 (building 2) it gets the file name under the dwg #.
When trying to etransmit a dwg from Civil 3D 2010 which has line/curve tags with tables built from them, we are getting output which has the table headers but no entries below. The cad user on the other end gets no line/curve data. The other user is on Civil 3D 2011.
I am trying to solve a problem. My company uses AutoCAD 2013. We set up a sheet set manager template that has custom properties linked to fields in an attribute block. Now we want to finish configuring a sheet list table. The problem is that we cannot get the sheet list table to look the way we want it.
In the sheet list table we add the drawing number, the revision, and then three titles (all from left to right). The three titles come from three separate attributes in the title block. The titles say the discipline (electrical) then the system type, then the particular drawing itself. We want to figure out how if possible, to have these three separate attributes in the same sheet list table cell.
We tried to do a multi-line text, which did place all three titles into one table cell, but then had issues with the multi-line text placing the three different titles into position on the title block.
I am trying to insert a table using a data link. I set up the Link through the DataLink manager and then insert the table using a range. I click OK to insert the table and after a few seconds of thinking ACAD sits there with no table on the screen. When I look in XREFs, the DL is there but says it is unrefrenced. Tried multiple ways of entering or setting up information to no avail.
I have data in an Excel spreadsheet that I want to insert into the drawing in a table format that replicates my spreadsheet formatting and creates AutoCAD entities as opposed to a bitmap image or the mess the TABLE command generates - I'm looking to keep my text consistent within the drawing and I still use the old SIMPLEX font.
I'm trying to add rows above rows in the middle of a table. The options under Rows are all grey/not available. The last row will allow me to add a row below and the top row will allow me to add a row above. I'm unable to Delete rows, too. The table is not listed as locked or anything. Aside from retyping the table, is there something I need to do to be able to edit the table?
I am testing using script files to automate inserting blocks for As-Built drawings. My script files run fine, but AutoCAD is placing the blocks at a location that is different than what the input on the command line shows. For instance, I am placing a block at (6,6), which is reflected in the command line, but the block is actually placed at (6,5.898). The 5.898 does not appear anywhere in my script file, and the command line even shows that (6,6) was entered for the insertion point.
without reiterating a lot of what is said in this thread: [URL] ......
This happen outside the potential malware infection?
if you care to not click-through, the problem is that certain commands (not all of them) simply do not disply in the command line. so the MOVE command for example looks like this:
When entering a command with autocomplete on and the List option on, the list dropdown only displays two or three of the possible choices, because the list box opens below the command line, which is at the bottom of the screen. Unless I minimize acad and adjust the window to only fill part of the screen, I can't see the list. This is a shame, because it is a cool feature. Having a dialog box display off the screen? how to get this to either display on the screen? Here is a screen shot of how it looks at window max and window minimumized.
Using Set Sheet Manager, I am trying to create an Office Standard Sheet Index Table.
I have begun by copying the Standard table and modifying it. I have adjusted the cell styles to reflect our colors and text types and sizes. I have also added two additional columns for revision number and revision date.
I have tried saving the new table ... and inserting a new table through the sheet set manager
the only tables i can bring in include the 2 original columns (sheet number and sheet title) and specified text font, size and color are maintained, but the additional columns and the column width are lost.
Ideally i would like the office format to be maintained...with little or no modification required of the user.
I have a template for sheet creation with all layers on, thawed, etc. When I insert a view on a sheet, there are VP layers that are frozen.I do not want these settings.
I am in ACAD 2012 and want to delete sheet sets from my "recent" list. Many of them are invalid now. How can I do this? I would expect it is a registry entry but I don't know where.
I am using the sheet list table to generate a table of contents. I add the "Drawing Revision Number" column to the table, but when it generates the list it does not include the field.
Is there any way to add the "Sheet Revision Number" instead since this is what property is actually adjusted in the sheet's properties? (i never change the "Drawing Revision Number")
OR is the solution to change the "Drawing Revision Number"? Where do I change this property at? Is this property applied to all sheets within a drawing?
I am having trouble using the publish command when I set the plotter to a 22x34 sheet. We are able to print to an actual plotter just fine at that size, but when we try and make a pdf set at that size, it just errors out.
The error I get is
"ERROR: The current device does not support the requested media size."
How to automatically stick the coordinates obtained from the “list” command in a table?
I’m wondering if there is a way to automatically store the XYZ coordinates obtained from the “list” command in a table with three columns in the AutoCAD.
I used to have my ribbon and commandline next to each other but now whenever I try and put them back next to each other it always ends up with one on top or one on the bottom. I added a picture to try and explain this!
I recently switched from LDD to Civil 3D 2010 and have since had problems with the command line recognizing Alt Codes when entering leader text. After the leader command is finalized, I am able to edit the MTEXT which does recognize the alt codes. I use alt codes for various symbols and now have to edit leader MTEXT each time in order for the symbols to be recognized. Is there a toggle or some other setting in later versions of AutoCAD that would allow recognition of alt codes at the command line?
I've just encountered strange issue and I cannot find the proper solution anywhere.I work in AutoCAD for 5 years and I am used to type commands on the keyboard (I usualy don't use icons in AutoCAD).
I was used to...just cancel all previous commands by ESC key and start typing the command. But since last week I had to click in the command line to write the command in it. How to type commands without annoying clicking in command line?
