I would like to know if there is a tool/plugin that would be similar to match properties that would allow me to change a text and then use that text to point and universally change all other picked text within a drawing environment.
Right now we are making manual changes per mtext line to make the transition and I am sure there must be a more productive and quick way to do this. Just have not been able to find it.
I have a text style I like and it works nicely annotative. So long as I am in my drawing using my menu I am fine. When I go to a palette and try to utilize some of the premade blocks it populates another font. How can I get my font to either be universal or change it at the root of the block?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed a computer system and the Plotter the client is using is a Canon W7200; Canon have refused to release any updated drivers and there were never any previous 64bit drivers that were created for this piece of hardware.
Are there any Universal Plotting Drivers? or a Generic one that can be used with all Canon Plotters?
i do not show 3d modeling as a workspace setting option. only architecture. i was able to right click and 'solid', etc will show up on the pull downs now. but does is matter not to have the 3d modelling workspace?

Being only an amatuer at Inventor, I have made several parts that need to fit together but don't due to erronious measurements. Attached are three of the parts I have so far, and I will make a few replies with the remaining parts. I am trying to make an excel sheet or some table where I can manage all my parameters and have them update in the parts. The table is simply to make it easier for me to quickly check my dimensions.
View 6 Replies View RelatedEver since updating our print server to use the HP Universal driver, my ability to tweak the non-printable margins has gone away. In the past I was always able to easily tweak margins within my PC3 files using the "Modify Standard Paper Sizes (Printable Area)" tool. Setting all four values to say "0.25" would result in an even 1/4" margin around all four edges of the paper.
Now however, that behavior is just plain different. Using 0.25 all the way around results in plots that are partially shifted off the page. Using different values for top, bottom, left and right results in one or two margins coming out much wider than I want. The frustrating part is there seems to be no rhyme or reason between these values and the plot output. The default values are 0.17 for Top/Bottom and 0.25 for Left/Right but even this results in uneven margins. Only if I make the slightest of tweaks can I get any tiny bit of improvement, which is still not up to previous standards. Anything larger and the output is much worse. I've tried all 0.0, setting top/bot only. left/right only, but none of my combinations of values works.
On top of that there seems to be inconsistency between each printer, even when the printer Model is the same. For example the output on my 9050DN printers range from just "Decent but not like before" to plain "awful". My older 8150 DN models look the best but still do not match previous output.
Is there an alternative way to adjust paper margins? Is there a new method to adjusting the "Modify Standard Paper Sizes (Printable Area)" ?
I inherited a computer at work where the pan function scrolls the drawing left when I move the mouse right. Where is the option to change it back to normal?

Now we are opening those cdr files in Corel Draw X5 and getting strange printing results: Missing words or sometimes whole lines. It's a really big problem for us. I have reinstalled the print drivers and even reset the CPU on the engraver. All of my RGB color settings seem correct.

So at the moment, if I make a boo-boo with my base view - I have to delete it and create a new one to get the right orientation. Is this a setting I've missed somewhere - or is it normal behaviour?

I am still getting use to X3 and I am doing a project.
I want the text to scroll from the bottom, then stop when it gets on the screen about midway. I use the moving path to come from the bottom, but it won't stay. I try pop up, but it starts from the middle.
I am in no way an expert in ACAD.We are experiencing "random" problems where we have a multileader with left justified text and the leader extension option turned on. There is probable a common trait with all the offending leaders but we are yet to see it.
Basically, with some leaders, the landing length is being set to a negative value. We have only noticed this since we turned on the extend leader to text option. The result of this is that the leader lines can sometimes cross through the text. Sometimes we fix them, then they revert to a negative value again when we close the drawing.
We can, of course, uncheck the extension option in the drawing and the problem appears to go away. However, we have unchecked this option in our templates now, but when we open a new drawing based on the updated templates, the option is checked again.
I've read about the new option in Text Editor to be able strike through text in Multiline Text, but when I upgraded to 2013 I did not have the option.
Explains what the strike through text style is but not how to add it to my Text Editor ribbon. My understanding is that it should be a button in the Formatting Pallet under the Underline button, mine just shows Background Mask there. When I expand the formatting pallet I don't show a strikethrough option there either.
I like the usability of the door and window and section tags that come out of the box. I also love that they are on the ribbon. however, I would like to change the look of the tags. Like make smaller and change fonts, or adding info like room sq ftg.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I purge a drawing, the text styles are not a selectable option (as if there are no purgeable text styles). if i use (-purge), it will purge the unused text styles. I can also go into the Styles dialog box and delete the styles. It happens in all drawings and nobody else in the dept has the problem. I can't find any settings that would exclude any items from the purge dialog box as well. Autocad 2012? windows 7 64 bit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to open a PDF file that has multiple pages. On "FileOpen" it comes up with Import PDF. There are 21 pages. I know how to highlight all the pages so they all load at once. Do to the volume of work this is impractical. Control+A will not work for this.
1. Is there a way to have "Open" select all, no matter on the number, pages into Photoshop 13.122. On "Save As" it defaults to ".psd". I want it to default to ".jpg". I'm doing several hundred plus.3. Also do not want it to ask me if “OK”, just do the save.
All I want to do is bring in the "PDF's" and brake the multiple files to a singe page ".jpg" or "PNG" file and rename the file just before the save.

I have always kept my pics in list form except whn using them. Now I only have the option of filmstrip thumbstrips data, and the icon also disapeared. I can't find where to get this option back. Surley I don't have to reload the program.

With AutoCAD 2010, the workspace dialogue box gave me three options: 2D Drafting and Annotation, 3D Modeling and AutoCAD Classic.
How do I get Autocad Classic as a workspace option?
I have revived an old project that was started about 2 years ago. I went to attach my title block in paper space and the drawing was itty bitty.
Seemed unusual because in another layout the title block is there with the same page setups etc.
Then I looked at the block units and they were set to mm. Can it be changed? If so how? Or am I completely hooped?
