I am still getting use to X3 and I am doing a project.
I want the text to scroll from the bottom, then stop when it gets on the screen about midway. I use the moving path to come from the bottom, but it won't stay. I try pop up, but it starts from the middle.
I've recently changed from PC to Laptop and reinstalled Videostudio x4.
On my last PC (which was considerably older and less capable) while using the stop-motion editor, I could capture in upto 1280 x 720 resolution using my Microsoft Lifecam 5000 HD - however now with the same camera after the reinstall the highest resolution on the drop-down menu is 640 x 480 which obviously isnt widescreen or anywhere near in terms of resolution.
One thing which could be related is that on this laptop I have two lots of "program files" - "Progam Files" and "Program Files (x86)". The program itself is installed on the x86 section but when VS is searching for sample videos or overlays etc they've all needed relinking as its attempting to find them in the normal "Program Files" folder - could the resolution problem be a similar relinking issue?

When attempting to add simple text on an individual layer, the layer is turning black. This prevents me from seeing the text I'm editing. When I move to another layer the text displays correctly. When I go to edit the text by clicking the image the layer goes black again. It is like editing text in the dark, turning the light on to see the changes, turning the light off to make the changes, repeat.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEverything looks fine on the screen but when I render the frame I get some kind of strange ghosting, like it can't decide which number(text) to render.
I'm attaching the file and a script that rounds my numbers. You will need to run the script (zeround.ms) before playing the animation and rendering.
The text is manipulated from a script controller. You will find it when you open the Curve Editor in the kerning property of TextCycle001.
The render works only on the first and last frame of the animation and . If I check Manual Update in the Text Property it behaves properly but then I can only render one frame at a time.
I want to animate the aura around the text, to make it appear that the aura is blowing in the wind, in random directions.
I want to make the white longer and the blue shorter.
The enclosed file is not animated. Could not find one.
I'm working with banners and I've made the banner I want. When I put the text on there and add an animation to the text, it always goes to a different screen and won't show with the original background. Is there anyway to get the animated text to work on a still background?

You know... how there's toolbars for color and stuff on the right, i got out of the layers toolbar and need it back. It's a little confusing to make the animated text with layers etc.
Basically i was adding *noise* in one layer and adding noise in another layer but with a different number. I was supposed to click on the image ready button and have it be animated but it wasn't working.
i'd really like my layers toolbar back.
I want to create an action where I create a stop, add text (patient's name for medical photos) which is automatically formatted to my preference of font size, color, etc. I can then hit the action play button to run the remainder of the action command, which will join and size photos from different files for printing. I can do everything but add the patient's name.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having a bit of an annoying issue regarding the text tool. I have a bunch of text layers in an invisible layer group. When I try to create new text in a layer that's outside of this layer group, it will select an existing text layer located wherever I click -- even though the selected text layer is invisible and in another layer group. I simply want to create new text on a new layer wherever I click and not worry about selecting invisible text.

I allways want to animate some text on my sigs...animate then as in it looks like your watch the text being type right in front of you...like for instance what you see on ur screen when u type...I haven't found any good tutorials for it in image ready, well I really haven't found ne tutorials...if ne1 wants to nudge me in the right direction it would be apreciated...maybe a lil hint on how toget moving with it....I am not good in image ready

It worked for a paragraph of text, but it won't work for text that seems to be surrounded by other objects. I tried moving the animated object to the top-most layer, but that did not work.

I'm creating a few PS actions and I wrote a piece of text that I want to show by a "insert stop" rule at the begining of every action.
Problem is this: when I copy the text (from TextEdit) and go to the dialogue box on Photoshop, text simply doesn't paste. If i have to write it on every single action it will be a neverending work!

How can I stop new text boxes being rotated? When I make a new text box (or start typing artistic text) using the text tool, the box (or artistic text) is rotated 90° clockwise. The tabs also show on the left hand ruler instead of the top one. I have looked at all the options in the Tools menu but there does not seem to a way of changing this. I have attached a CorelDraw file as an example.
I am using CorelDraw 14.0.0.701 from Graphics Suite 4. My PC is running Windows XP Pro, Service Pack build 2600.
Having some trouble with the oppacity on my projects. As you can see from the screenshot, I've clearly clicked something because any text or images that I try to add to my project and set the oppacity at 0% - to then build over a few seconds to 100%, will not do this.Yet previous elements that I've added will.
Is there something I need to click to stop the new text and images from changing oppacity immediately. I want them to build over time - I can see that the added keyframe looks different also.
Is 3D text not an option in CS6 Standard? It doesn't show up under the Type tab as shown in the Lynda tutorials. The tutorial does not state whether it is Standard or Extended edition.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I add text, there's a little black and white border around each letter. It looks like it's highlighted, but it's like that even after I save it. Another thing is that while I am doing anything to the picture, nt just text, the colors are inverted.
if i try to save any kind of a document, there is no 'jpg' option. I think there are some other options missing, too.
I just used it last week, and I could save it as jpg and use text at that point.
The animated zoom could have been such a good complement to tap tap-zoom. But I'm so bothered by the "1/2+"sec delay for anim to start that I don't use it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed Gimp 2.8.2, then reinstalled 2.8.4 because the Text Along Path option was missing from the Text Editor options. I was using this tool just fine in an older version so I knew the in's and out's of it then.
As you can see from the attachment, I believe I have all the necessary items in place. In other words, I have a path, which shows in the path dialog. I have text that was created after the path. In the picture, the Text Editor is currently selected while the path is showing in the dialog but the Text Along Path option is missing.
I am in no way an expert in ACAD.We are experiencing "random" problems where we have a multileader with left justified text and the leader extension option turned on. There is probable a common trait with all the offending leaders but we are yet to see it.
Basically, with some leaders, the landing length is being set to a negative value. We have only noticed this since we turned on the extend leader to text option. The result of this is that the leader lines can sometimes cross through the text. Sometimes we fix them, then they revert to a negative value again when we close the drawing.
We can, of course, uncheck the extension option in the drawing and the problem appears to go away. However, we have unchecked this option in our templates now, but when we open a new drawing based on the updated templates, the option is checked again.
I would like to know if there is a tool/plugin that would be similar to match properties that would allow me to change a text and then use that text to point and universally change all other picked text within a drawing environment.
Right now we are making manual changes per mtext line to make the transition and I am sure there must be a more productive and quick way to do this. Just have not been able to find it.
I've read about the new option in Text Editor to be able strike through text in Multiline Text, but when I upgraded to 2013 I did not have the option.
Explains what the strike through text style is but not how to add it to my Text Editor ribbon. My understanding is that it should be a button in the Formatting Pallet under the Underline button, mine just shows Background Mask there. When I expand the formatting pallet I don't show a strikethrough option there either.
I'd like to outline some text, so I went to the Text tool, entered the words, highlighted them and then looked for the button that would let me create an outline path. It's not there. Plain and simple. There's an empty space between "language: English" and the tool pre-set buttons. I checked under the paths dialog, but the option isn't there, either.
I've never used the text menu before - actually, I've just never used GIMP before. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious? I read a couple of tutorials, but none of them said that you had to do anything other than highlight the text to make the "create path from text" option appear.
I'm using 2.8 and Windows XP.
So i hit the little "T" text tool, and i get the generic Windows 7 "This program has encountered a program and needs to close" error. I click out of the error box, and all my work disappears as well as any changed preferences and recently opened files. The same happens when i try to use Image> Adjustments>HDR Toning. Yay. And what's funny is BOTH errors display a fault module of "CoolType.dll."
I have tried EVERYTHING that everyone has posted about on every computer-related forum that i could find. NOTHING has worked at all. I deleted every single font minus the system fonts, including anything mentioning them in the system registry. Tried new copy of the dll file, nothing. Reset Photoshop preferences, nothing. System restore failed. Uninstall/reinstall of entire Adobe Master Collection failed.
Oh, and in the 32-bit version, HDR Toning works but the text tool gives me an error message that "something prevented the text engine from being initialized." And, well, i just don't want to use the 32-bit version.
