Is 3D text not an option in CS6 Standard? It doesn't show up under the Type tab as shown in the Lynda tutorials. The tutorial does not state whether it is Standard or Extended edition.

In fact in the drawing I tried all the surfaces were ignored whereas they were exploded to 3D faces in the standard Export optionAre there, in fact, any advantages to using the Productivity pack version of the Export to Autocad routine?
Why would I want to select a Profile like Camera Standard instead of Adobe Standard?
View 10 Replies View Relatedthe text always appears bold both on screen and printed in my student work. My tutor has now commented as it detracts from the thickness of picture lines. So i need to figure out how to change this. I have never selected bold.
In the 2D diagram I am working on at the moment i am using single line text, dimension text and text within a table key on the side. It is all the same in terms of boldness. I have seen other students work with less bold text and i need mine to be like this.
I have selcted standard style, size 6.000 and it is not annotative. Is text affected by lineweight or layers?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSee the below text box, which I frequently use to retrieve lists of requested photos. This box does not comport to industry standards. When you click on it, the last whole word erroneously becomes highlighted --I expect the cursor to be positioned at the pointer so that I can add or insert text. Instead my first keystroke erases the last entry! Additionally, the undo/redo keys (ctrl Z/Y) are non-functional. Applies to at least the last few versions.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to drawing and I need getting my text/dimensions to be legible on an 11x17 sheet. I had no problems when my company used Arch D (24x36) but in an effort to "going green" we converted to the B size paper (11x17).
Any useful chart for plotting in different scales. Maybe a standard size chart. I usually print in 3/8", 1/2", 6", and full size paper space viewports.
I am still getting use to X3 and I am doing a project.
I want the text to scroll from the bottom, then stop when it gets on the screen about midway. I use the moving path to come from the bottom, but it won't stay. I try pop up, but it starts from the middle.
it's possible to have a standard text filled in the "Authorization" and "Organization", so that I don't have to enter the same text each time I want to export a STEP file.

Whenever I add text, there's a little black and white border around each letter. It looks like it's highlighted, but it's like that even after I save it. Another thing is that while I am doing anything to the picture, nt just text, the colors are inverted.
if i try to save any kind of a document, there is no 'jpg' option. I think there are some other options missing, too.
I just used it last week, and I could save it as jpg and use text at that point.
when writing in a text box whenever using punctuation it always go to the beginning of the sentence. FOR EXAMPLE (?what time is it)i have tried changing the text engine option to East Asian and then restarting photoshop, but when reopening my exisitng work, the problem still remains.However when creating a new document the problem is gone, however i want to resolve the problem with my exisitng document i have been working on.

1. When in style and Standard editor with default standard selected under Standard I am trying to display mass properties in my view label.Select View Preferences tab. View type Base. Next to Display select Edit View Label.When Format Text box pops up in the selection for text type I have two options.
    a. Properties - Model
    b. View Label Properties
2. Inside an IDW file right click on view and select edit view.When Drawing View box pops up there is the option to access Edit View Label next to View Identifier.When Format Text box pops up in the selection for text type at this point there are seven options.

    d. Sheet Properties
    e. Physical Properties - Model

I would like to add mass to my lablel inside certain templates and have it show when I display a views Base view label. Not ot have to maunually add it each time it is displayed.
 I'm having some problems with drawing paths in Illustrator. Everytime I draw a new path, this new path shows up in the standard settings. The 'brush defenition' turns back to 'basic' and the 'variable width profile' back to 'uniform'. It would save me a lot of time if I could change those standard settings into what I prefer.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo i hit the little "T" text tool, and i get the generic Windows 7 "This program has encountered a program and needs to close" error. I click out of the error box, and all my work disappears as well as any changed preferences and recently opened files. The same happens when i try to use Image> Adjustments>HDR Toning. Yay. And what's funny is BOTH errors display a fault module of "CoolType.dll."

I have tried EVERYTHING that everyone has posted about on every computer-related forum that i could find. NOTHING has worked at all. I deleted every single font minus the system fonts, including anything mentioning them in the system registry. Tried new copy of the dll file, nothing. Reset Photoshop preferences, nothing. System restore failed. Uninstall/reinstall of entire Adobe Master Collection failed.

Oh, and in the 32-bit version, HDR Toning works but the text tool gives me an error message that "something prevented the text engine from being initialized." And, well, i just don't want to use the 32-bit version.
is it possible to rotate a text layer not by the free transform option? can we do it (for example) precisely 90º CW...?
I was trying to get rid of text and change it. I have no clue how to use this product but thought I would mess around with it. I think I really messed up. I clicked on the letter and then drug to the garbage can thinking I was deleting the text. It said permanently deleted and I now don't have the text option under content. How do I get it back?

I have recently installed Gimp 2.8.2, then reinstalled 2.8.4 because the Text Along Path option was missing from the Text Editor options. I was using this tool just fine in an older version so I knew the in's and out's of it then.
As you can see from the attachment, I believe I have all the necessary items in place. In other words, I have a path, which shows in the path dialog. I have text that was created after the path. In the picture, the Text Editor is currently selected while the path is showing in the dialog but the Text Along Path option is missing.
I am in no way an expert in ACAD.We are experiencing "random" problems where we have a multileader with left justified text and the leader extension option turned on. Â There is probable a common trait with all the offending leaders but we are yet to see it.
Basically, with some leaders, the landing length is being set to a negative value. Â We have only noticed this since we turned on the extend leader to text option. Â The result of this is that the leader lines can sometimes cross through the text. Â Sometimes we fix them, then they revert to a negative value again when we close the drawing.
We can, of course, uncheck the extension option in the drawing and the problem appears to go away. Â However, we have unchecked this option in our templates now, but when we open a new drawing based on the updated templates, the option is checked again.
I would like to know if there is a tool/plugin that would be similar to match properties that would allow me to change a text and then use that text to point and universally change all other picked text within a drawing environment.
Right now we are making manual changes per mtext line to make the transition and I am sure there must be a more productive and quick way to do this. Just have not been able to find it.
I've read about the new option in Text Editor to be able strike through text in Multiline Text, but when I upgraded to 2013 I did not have the option.
Explains what the strike through text style is but not how to add it to my Text Editor ribbon. My understanding is that it should be a button in the Formatting Pallet under the Underline button, mine just shows Background Mask there. When I expand the formatting pallet I don't show a strikethrough option there either.
I'd like to outline some text, so I went to the Text tool, entered the words, highlighted them and then looked for the button that would let me create an outline path. It's not there. Plain and simple. There's an empty space between "language: English" and the tool pre-set buttons. I checked under the paths dialog, but the option isn't there, either.
I've never used the text menu before - actually, I've just never used GIMP before. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious? I read a couple of tutorials, but none of them said that you had to do anything other than highlight the text to make the "create path from text" option appear.
I'm using 2.8 and Windows XP.
When I purge a drawing, the text styles are not a selectable option (as if there are no purgeable text styles). if i use (-purge), it will purge the unused text styles. I can also go into the Styles dialog box and delete the styles. It happens in all drawings and nobody else in the dept has the problem. I can't find any settings that would exclude any items from the purge dialog box as well.  Autocad 2012? windows 7 64 bit.Â

For some reason my text option list will only show one font option at a time (in CorelDRAW 11), but when I use X4 it shows the 5 last ones. Â Where in the 'Options' section can I correct that to show the longer listing?

 is there any option to create block and never changed text when did mirror or rotate.
I cannot stand it when I make a new layer in Illustrator and the color hint becomes yellow. This usually happens on the third new layer into every project. I can go in and manually change it from yellow to the ten plus other colors, but I just want yellow completely out of the list. It's awful to look at, and I think every other color is easier.
