AutoDesk Smoke :: RGBA Setting On Text Module Is Standard Set To RGBA
Jul 18, 2012I would like to see that the RGBA setting on the Text module is standard set to RGBA.
It isn't done until it is finished.

AutoDesk Smoke :: Fully RGBA Clips
Jul 12, 2012is it hard for Autodesk to have/create fully RGBA clips (clips with embedded alpha).I'm not so sure what's the main advantage to have clip with separate matte (black & white), since all compositing software even FCP can handle it.
I found that this function a bit outdated n you end up doing lot of steps even to accomplish simple result.
Photoshop :: Rgba From CS 2 To CS 3
Apr 30, 2008I have Creator 3.4.1 and using it plug-in for RGBFormat.8BI. I use this in order to get rgba to work properly in Creator. In CS 2 the Creator plug-in can read in and write out images with no problems. In CS 3 rgb read in fine, but the rgba does not read in and I get the following message: Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document. Is this a known problem and being worked on?

AutoDesk Smoke :: Expressions To Link To Letters And / Or Words Within Text Module
Dec 14, 2011I have been attempting expressions to link to letters and/or words within the Text module but it doesn't seem to work. I just watched both of Grant's tutorials on expressions and I can make expressions within Action but not in the Text module.
I will copy a value and try to use the "Link" button to "attach" it to another value and no luck. No "e" shows up in the channels. I can copy and paste the values to other channels but using the Link button does not do anything.
AutoDesk Smoke :: Audio Effects On Right Side Of Standard Player?
Jun 15, 2012Yesterday while playing with Smoke 2013 I activated the audio desk whiles in the standard player. It showed up as expected on the left side of the player BUT the Audio FX desk we used to see in the classic interface showed up on the right side of the player. That was awesome but today I activated the audio desk and only the mixer on the left showed up.

But it doesn't work!! At least for me. I had this work a few versions back but it wasn't consistent, which was weird.

Apr 1, 2013i'm trying to link my edl with the correct clips. So when i got a green check icon , indicating that smoke have found the matched clip. But before i link it i just want to make sure that it's the correct clip. So in the bin, the clip is highligted and i double click it to open it up in the viewer. The problem the viewer split control is disabled so i can't do split screen to match that clip with the guide/offline (in the edl sequence i've inserted the guide movie). all i can see i have to link it first then go back to timeline and now i can view in split screen.

Sep 20, 2011When I use Paint module with Graphics menu, I get bad edges randomly on the image in action. The default setting of Anti-aliasing in paint module is 4 now, and I have tried to change the value from 4 to 1, 1 to 4. the only differences are the amount of, position of bad edges.
I also tried to check the "Divide" function in the media-list, but it gets from specific colour to white. I only want to take the bad edges away from the image.

Mar 21, 2012Why is there a difference between the text from the soft fx and the text in action? If you look at the attached picture, the 3 lines look slightly different although they shouldn't. The first line was written inside the soft fx.
The second line, with an ugly outline, is the 3D text, and although it's the same font, it looks thinner here.
And the third line, which I think looks a little too soft, is with AA turned on in action.
So why can't I achieve the same look in action, as in the text soft fx?

Apr 24, 2013I have composed a scene in action that contains 3d text with a reflection layer. I animated the reflection to keep the part of the image that I want to appear on the letters in view. Everything looks ok when I step through in action or click preview, but comes out wrong when I render.
It looks like there may be some sort of timing issue, so I've checked for slip and TW problems and found none. I've also checked for transitions on other axes that might cause a problem and see none. Is this a bug?
