I want to run a batch file that will launch AutoCAD, run a program that will create some graphics, save and then exit AutoCAD. I'm sure this can be done, but I want to do it in Silent mode. The server it will run on has no monitor.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe are running multiple instances of Inventor on a workstation server with a bog standard graphics card.
These Inventor instances are loaded without the UI, in silent mode and with save reminders etc. all disabled.
We're always trying to get the best performance out of the servers and to date we've been given the impression that Inventor won't utilize the graphics card under silent / none visible mode.
If Inventor does still use the graphics card for some reason then we can stick a bigger card in and hopefully get some improved performance.

I’m not sure about the current “annotation scale” in case of lay out mode.
Annotation scale option is displayed only in the model and viewport mode but not in the lay out mode (attached)!
Based on what annotative objects living on the lay out but neither in the model (or viewport) are re-sized? At this mode, there is no option to choose the annotation scale?
On other words, how to choose the annotation scale in the lay out mode?
I didn't have any template charged in my Revit, so I've tried to ADD Features or to Repair it or even Uninstall but i just receive the message that it is unable to do it!

I'm trying to use VideoStudio X2 to burn to DVD a file that I’ve downloaded to my laptop from my hard disk set top box . When I play the file in VideoStudio it's silent (whether or not I’ve added it to the timeline). However when I view the file (a .ts ) in Windows Media Player it has sound.
If I view other .ts video files in VideoStudio they do have sound, which suggests the sound for my laptop and VideoStudio aren't completely muted.I've attached a screen shot that shows the audio file properties as well as other settings.

For some unknown reason EVERY time i download inventor 2012 pro the installation fails due to a corrupt file. So i thought (In desperation) i would downlaod the 2013 version and see if it would install. Lucky enough it all installed correctly. So i continue with my work on the 2013 edition, and when i go to save it it tells me, that i will not be able to use this file on previous versions. (Which i need to do). As soon as I start up AutoCAD 2013 or 2012 64-bit, it loads all the way through and I get an error message:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled AutoCAD multiple times, followed the clean install instructions.
I have run as administrator, run in compatability for XP and 7, run with the onboard graphics, run with my nVidia card, and have had no results. Boot in Safe Mode, no changes. Disabled my Antivirus when installing, and when running, no difference. Installed SP1, no difference.
After upgrading the raw-file, finally video playback from files filmed with this camera is back, but the playback is still silent....

Everything starts fine, I am able to open/create a part file and enter sketch mode, but as soon as I click a draw operation (spline, line, rectangle, etc.) it freezes on me. I have been using 2013 for a couple months now without issue, and cannot associate this with a change of anything on my computer.I have tried:
1) Restarting computer
2) Reducing graphics display quality to Rough
3) Checking "Software Graphics"
4) Calibrate my 3Dconnexion mouse
5) The diagnostic check for graphics card (approved)

I've downloaded the trial for 3ds Max 2013 x64 to see whether it meets our requirements. I need to write a DirectX Shader Material using D3D10 syntax and features. The doc page [URL] ..... "You can use this material only when you are using the Direct3D Display driver and DirectX 9.0 or DirectX 10.0 is chosen as the Direct3D version." It says we can use D3D9 or D3D10 shaders.
However, I can't find any way of switching to D3D10 mode. There's no option to do so in the driver selection page or the options for the D3D driver. Even the supplied "default10.fx" shader doesn't work - loading it just produces error messages implying it's being compiled for D3D9 syntax.
How do I get this to work?
I would like to create a title card for a silent movie type project. I have the idea, but don't know how to proceed.

i am making some new add-ins for inventor 2013 and see an old add-in showing up from perhaps inventor 2011 that i was trying to get to work a few years ago. i cannot uninstall this persisant little fellow.
i know that we used Regasm to register and unregister a COM object / assembly back before inventor 2012, and i have run the regasm /u "full path" & this was reported as successfully unregistered, however it still shows up in inventor add-in manager.
i can see the path reported for the add-in (from inside inventor / tools / add-ins) & run the regasm as noted above on that specific .dll file.
if i use the add-in manager from autodesk outside of inventor, i see the location is mscoree.dll instead of the full .dll path noted above. i see this location as mscoree.dll also in several other add-ins that i have purchased and installed over the years (that work just fine) so i have read up a little and see that it likely is not an issue.
also i have run a search on the entire computer to make sure it was not a dll registered from a different folder.
i have looked in all the typical locations for registry free add-in folder locations and made sure they are not copied anywhere else.
i recall seeing this little fellow loaded in inv 2011, 2012 and now 2013 so i want to get rid of it. it was only a bare bones add-in that i created using perhaps the add-in wizard in visual studio express that i scored from the inventor sdk development tools / wizard a few years ago.
all i can think of is that when i was learning to register a COM assembly back then is that i perhaps used the regasm /codebase option.

I downloaded the installer for AutoCAD 2012 and when I went to install it, it told me I can't because there are already AutoCAD applications on my mac. So I ran the uninstaller for 2011, and it's still giving me the same message.

I'm using OS 10.6.8 and the latest Epson drivers for the 3880. I have re-installed both PS and the Epson drivers. If I print from Acrobat Reader everything seems to work fine, this only is happening in Photoshop CS5.
